Each week, I'll answer a question about the paranormal, whether a general question, or one about human or animal ghosts (Earthbound) or spirits (crossed over). Here's this week's question:
A: Children can see Earthbound ghosts or spirits who have crossed over (like their grandparents for example) because their logical minds have not yet developed.
Acknowledge their "friend" and ask them details. Ask for a name, and what the ghost or spirit looks like. If you recognize the description of the person or pet in spirit (or ghost) and they were good in the physical, don't discourage your child from talking with them, but always tell your child to share what they learn or talk about.
If it's an Earthbound ghost, it may be someone who lived in the house previously, or someone who stayed behind because they regret something they did in life and were afraid to cross over. They could be a good person, or a bad person- just as they were in the physical. - So if you ask your child about the ghost person, have them describe their personality and appearance. Ask if the child is afraid of them or likes them. If the ghost makes the child uncomfortable, then call a paranormal group to try and cross the ghost over.
If it's the spirit of a loved one, they're just coming back to spend time with the child and looking over them.
