Ronda of IGT asking questions to the ghost in "Amanda's bedroom" |
The Inspired Ghost Tracking group of Glen Burnie, Maryland leads public ghost investigations at the historic Belmont Mansion (in Elkridge, MD) several times throughout the year
through the Howard County Parks Department. The tours are $20 and the
funds all go to support the mansion. The registration is through the
parks department.
On the most recent investigation,
Friday, July 16, there were several experiences where we talked with
intelligent haunts (ghosts who answer questions).
There were 21 people who signed up for the investigation. So, the Inspired Ghost Tracking teams split into two groups. One for the first floor and basement, and the other for the second floor. I covered the second floor with Ronda, Amy and Jimmy.
A GHOST NAMED AMANDA - On previous investigations we learned that there is a 6 year old girl named Amanda who died of the flu and still plays in the house. People have seen her. I got all the info about her name, age, and death on a previous investigation - as I channeled her while Ronda asked me questions (we work so well together).

The ball lit up with an affirmation |
LIGHTING UP TO ANSWER - One of the things we use to get "Yes" or "No" answers is a ball that
lights up when moved or affected by electrical activity. It's actually a
cat toy, but it's easy enough for ghosts to affect it (since they're
energy). Well, Ronda asked questions and Amanda answered confirming her presence. A visitor in the group asked Amanda if she knew what was pictured on her shirt (they were butterflies), and the ball lit up. Another question was asked and the ball didn't light. Then a woman asked if Amanda knew what was on her shirt (cats) and the ball lit up. Other questions were asked and received no response.
TV TIME - At the end of the questions we were about to leave when suddenly Amanda turned on the television in the room. We were all startled as the remote was in a drawer and no one was near the television. Again, ghosts can do that because they're electrical energy. Maybe Amanda was acknowledging she was done with her visitors and wanted to watch television.
