Purpose of this Blog

Rob Gutro is an author, paranormal investigator and medium with Inspired Ghost Tracking of Maryland. Since he was a child he could receive messages from ghosts or spirits (who have crossed over). *He wrote the books "Pets and the Afterlife," "Pets and the Afterlife 2," "Ghosts and Spirits" and "Lessons Learned from Talking to the Dead" to teach others how ghosts and Spirits communicate with the living and to give proof of the afterlife. As a scientist, he also provides some scientific explanations about how energy is the baseline for the afterlife and the medium that entities use to communicate.

My note to Anyone Whose Loved one is Failing

I wrote this note to a friend whose mother is dying in a hospital, and please share it with anyone you know who is facing the same situation. Hopefully it will bring them comfort.
It seems that December, January and the first couple of days of February have been filled with notes of people passing.  - Rob

I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. My mom just passed on Dec. 29. I wanted to remind you that even though she's failing, she's still going to be around you. My mom gave signs when she was in a coma (a musical sign) that it was her time. She gave me signs and messages after she passed, too.
Our bodies are just a physical shell for our souls and spirit and they wear down, but our spirit doesn't. I read your note about hoping your mom doesn't have pain. When my partner and I finally got to Boston (from Maryland) and saw my mom, the hardest thing was telling her it was okay to pass, because I didn't want to see her suffer anymore (she was in a coma and had little chance of any recovery- other than living with 100% assistance and a feeding tube- which she would never want). So, I told her it was okay to cross over, and felt my dad and other (late) relatives spirits in the room. She crossed the next day.
You have shown your mom great love and given her the best gift-  permission to go on to the next stage of life.
Saying "goodbye" isn't really a "goodbye," because our loved ones spirits live on around us, help us, watch over us, guide us and protects us a lot easier than they did when they were living in a physical body. We're just not going to see their physical bodies anymore, but we will feel them around us. It's just the transition that is difficult, but over time you'll realize they're still with you.
 Love and hugs, Rob

  1. My m passed in October, I heard her call me that night after the funeral, it awoke me. Lately a.bird keeps coming in on the porch. I don't know how and it never did when she was alive. What does it mean?

    1. Hi Ann - My sympathies on the passing of your mom. I lost my mother in Dec. 2013,. That's a wonderful audible sign that your mom called your name after her passing to let you know she's okay and still around you (from time to time). The same exact thing happened to my mom when my grandmother passed. - It's nothing to be scared of, in fact it's a sign that your mom has a very strong personality and love for you.
      - As for the bird, that's another way that Spirit can provide signs. Spirit will use butterflies, birds and insects to come to us and let us know they're still around.
When the bird visits next, tell your mom's spirit "hello" and that you know she's visiting you. She is sending you these messages to help get past the grief you're dealing with from her loss and not being able to talk with her on the phone. This is a way that spirits try to help us move past their physical passing - by letting us know that they're still with us in spirit.
