An Inspiration - Fundraising for a Rescue in the name of Toby

Recently I received a wonderful note from Becky and Rachel in the United Kingdom. They had
emailed me earlier in the summer about the passing of their beautiful Border Collie mix named Toby.

They decided to work through their grief and keep Toby's memory alive by helping other dogs and cats. They appeared in an article in a local newspaper (See Right)>>>

Here's their recent email
My wife and I contacted you too inform you we had lost our boy Toby. We have found that focusing on Toby's happy life and thinking positive is the way forward for us. Thought we would update you. In Toby's memory we are fund raising which is going really well and our local newspaper has featured it which I have attached.
Toby's life was too special to not do anything.
Thank you for your words of kindness. We have indeed had a dream here and there and often get a waft of his scent!
Many thanks rob

ABOUT BROKEN BISCUITS RESCUE
DONATE: https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/rachael-fawcett

Broken Biscuits is a disabled animal advocacy organisation, seeking to remove barriers to these animals pursuing active and healthy lives. Too often their lives are put into question due to the circumstances surrounding them, rather than the injury that has occurred. We wish to support carers, to guide them with post injury care. Our successful Roll Model campaign, run by our education team, demonstrates the potential of life post injury, removing some of the misconceptions and fears that so often cause pet parents to end their existence.
Just like with disabled humans, a life changing injury or illness need not be a life ending one. We work to promote the many options available to treat and rehabilitate injured animals and restore their mobility so that they can return to active lives. https://www.brokenbiscuits.org/

Tarot Tuesday: The Clouds

Every Tuesday, my friend Joy Andreason provides "Tarot Tuesday" to give you some insight into tarot. This is from a different deck and it's called "the Clouds."

JOY SAYS:   In lenormand divination the cloud card symbolizes trouble. Your thinking may be "clouded" with confusion or there may be a storm brewing. No one can turn on the news without agreeing this is true. In your personal life, if storm clouds are hovering, remember that storms do pass.

Bristol England Hauntings #7: The Violent Ghosts of Llangoder Trow

One of my books is called "Ghosts of England on a Medium's Vacation" and is all about the various ghosts I met when I took 2 vacations in England. Recently, Bristol Live in the UK ran a series about haunted places in Bristol, so on this blog,  you'll read about 1 each week for the next several weeks!      Meanwhile if you want to read about the ghosts I met (Queens, shop owners, members of the royal court, Tavern workers, Shakespeare's sister, and even a dog, check out my book on Amazon.com.  Now, onto the hauntings in Bristol, England:

The violent ghosts of Llandoger Trow

Llandoger Trow
Llandoger Trow
The Llandoger Trow Inn on King Street is one of the best spots in Bristol for ghost-hunting.

Over the centuries, there have been numerous sightings and strange goings-on at the 17th-century alehouse, where Robert Louis Stevenson reputedly wrote Treasure Island.

Most famous is the sad little crippled boy, but there are also more violent - and possibly under the influence? - ghosts who make pictures fly off the walls and throw cutlery around in the kitchen and restaurant!

A Special Grandma Sends a Musical Message of Love

Here's an incredible story of how a woman's grandmother influenced a young tattoo artist to play her favorite song at the exact time her granddaughter, Brenda was at the shop. As I've written in my books: Ghosts and Spirits, and Lessons Learned from Talking to the Dead, spirits will use music to let us know they are around us. Usually, we'll hear their favorite song whenever we're thinking of them. they ensure that we will be at that very place at that very time to hear their musical message. That takes a lot of coordinating from the other side!
There are truly no such things as coincidences when it comes to spirit!  My thanks to Brenda for allowing me to share this story. Here's Brenda's story:

I am a strong believer in life after death in us humans and our pets and I can never get enough listening to all the touching stories I hear you talk about regarding your beloved dogs who have crossed and your experiences with them after the have gone to the other side. I also have dogs, cats and pet rats and the closest I've ever gotten to my animals is with my pet rats. I have had well over 100 pet rats that have crossed and some that I've been closer with then others.

I would love to share with you a story about why I am such a believer in life after death. My beautiful Grandmother who preferred us to call her by Nann passed away July, 2009. My Nann's name is Grace LeBlanc. Her passing was extremely difficult as I expected it would be, because of the love we had all my life.

I decided to have her signature "Nann" tattooed on me. On the way there [to the tattoo parlor] while driving in the car, I told her I would love for her to be there when I get the tattoo.

I arrived and the young man who was to do the tattoo was running late. When he arrived he came in with a big stack of at least 15 music CD's. He apologized for running late and began explaining to me that one of his co-workers asked him to stop and grab all the CD's he had in his hands. He walked over and put one of those CDs in and began getting things prepared to give me my Nann's signature tattoo.

Suddenly, the song "Sweet Caroline" from Neil Diamond came on. At first I was wondering why on earth he put that song on. I wondered this because this kind of music was nothing I've ever heard them play there in all the other times I've gotten tattoos there.

Then, suddenly I realized that the song he had chosen to put on while getting ready to do my Grandmother's Nann tattoo was in fact my Nann's favorite song!

I was stunned and was unable to speak for the entire song.

It was afterward, that I informed the young tattoo artist that out of all those stack of CD's he brought in for his co-worker, he, in fact, chose my grandmother's favorite song! I told him she passed and this is her signature I'm getting tattooed on me...which he had absolutely no idea was in fact her favorite song or that she was passed because he hardly knew me. He looked surprised and said "well she's letting you know she's here."

I was sitting there and my chest felt warm and felt full of the feelings of love I felt when she was alive and right beside me times 1,000.

So this is where my interest in life after death took off and I haven't looked back now 10 years later.

ARLNH Dog Hoping for Adoption: Tim with a Special Heart

Tim is seeking a forever home
When I visited the Animal Rescue of New Hampshire recently, I learned about many dogs and cats who are still waiting for their forever home. Today, I'm spotlighting a beautiful medium sized dog named Tim who needs a special, loving home because he has a heart condition. Please open YOUR heart and give Tim a home.

MEET TIM -  Tim, here. How are ya?!   I have come to New Hampshire all the way from South Carolina in search of a home of my own! I was found in rough shape, but luckily for me, I found kind humans who took care of me!

My human friends have learned a lot about me, like how sweet and gentle I am. And how I love to play with other dogs! I think I would be a great companion dog, and I would be open to living with kids, although really little kids might be a little scary for me.
Unfortunately, I do have a heart condition that you should know about. My heart is not in great shape, and it will need to be managed for as long as I'm around. We are not sure if my heart will effect my lifespan, but I promise I will repay anyone who adopts me with a lifetime of whole-hearted love.
If you have been looking for a dog to truly rescue, please consider me!
