Every
Tuesday, my friend Joy Andreason provides "Tarot Tuesday" to give you
some insight into tarot cards. Today's card is the Seven of Swords Joy says: Is someone not being forthcoming? Perhaps you are hiding a truth from
someone else or yourself? With yesterday's and today's card right next
to each other, it seems like there needs to be a heart to heart with
someone. Stop lying to yourself or others.
MEANING OF THE CARD (from Biddytarot.com): The Seven of Swords shows a man sneaking away from a military camp with
five swords in his arms. He looks over his shoulder at the two upright
swords he has left behind. The smile on his face suggests that he is
proud of himself for having slipped away without being noticed. UPRIGHT: Betrayal, deception, getting away with something, acting strategically REVERSED: Imposter syndrome, self-deceit, keeping secrets

Here's the latest review of my book Pets and the Afterlife, from a pet parent. The review was posted on Amazon.com on July 1. I'm always glad to hear that people have found answers and comfort.
Offers comfort that couldn't be found elsewhere July 1, 2019
My Pomeranian passed away at the beginning of May,
after 16 1/2 years together. She had been ill, but was doing better, and
then one day, her health did a 180 from the night before. I had to
make the most horrific decision a pet parent ever has to make. I cannot
describe the pain, and emptiness that followed. I found myself
doubting my choice, and questioning what she must have thought of me.
Did she think I just gave up on her? Did she think I didn't love her
enough, and that after all the love she showed me, my thanks was to have
her life taken from her? I found myself starting to panic and question
things I never really gave much thought to before; Will I really get
to be with her again? How do we know they will be waiting for us? I was
inconsolable, and I have never wailed the way I did in the week
following her passing. Truth be told, I still have not gone one day
without crying over her.
The day after she died, my mom gave me
Rob's name, and told me how a few of her friends had met him and
experienced his gift. I immediately found this book, and downloaded it.
It was very difficult to get through more than a few pages at a time,
because I just couldn't control the tears. However, the further I got,
the more comfort and peace I started to feel.
I also found a podcast
on his website, which was also extremely insightful and offered relief
to all the questions that were plaguing me. He has a sincerity in his
tone, and his writing sounds more like a friend explaining things to
you, than just reading a random book.
A month after my baby was
set free (almost to the day), my mother suffered the same loss with her
elderly dog. Like me, she values her animals and her bond with them over
people, so I know she was experiencing the same soul-crushing agony
that I was. My mom doesn't have digital books, so I immediately ordered
the paperback and had it sent to her, as I know it will help bring some
comfort.
Overall, I would highly recommend this book to anyone
who finds themselves in a whirlwind of questions and painful emotions.
Thanks to this book, I was able to take solace in the fact that my
questions, fears, doubts, and guilt, are shared by many pet parents. I
don't know if I will ever feel certain that I made the right choice;
there are always so many variables and what-if's, but I now know that I
am not alone in those thoughts, and I have hope that she will sometimes
be near, and that one day, I will have the joy of being reunited with
her.

Last night 5 members of the Inspired Ghost Tracking or IGT group of Maryland, myself included, gave a public tour of the Belmont Historic Mansion in Elkridge,
Maryland. There were 33 people who signed up and showed up to meet the
ghosts of this historic mansion. IGT 'S FIRST INVESTIGATION -
The Belmont Manor
IGT conducted our first investigation of the Belmont in 2015 when it
re-opened as an event facility. The property dates back to 1732, and the
house had occupants who endured their own tragedies. In fact, some of
them never left and remain as Earthbound ghosts. There are a couple of
others who linger in the home that were not family members, however, and
were just at one time, visitors. ORGANIZING THE EVENT - Margaret, the founder split
the groups into three sections. Margaret and Diane covered one side of
the first floor, Randy and Ronda covered the other side and I (Rob) was
on the second floor. THE IRRITATED GHOST -
Ronda of IGT at the start of the night
The "General" as I call him, is a ghost
who helped plan the Iraq war of 1991 there at the Belmont (yes, it was
planned there) and came back to haunt one room because he regrets the
war (planned on bad intel as we all know now). He causes a LOT of people
headaches, pressure and discomfort in one of the rooms and he was
acting up last night giving me a big headache!

SOME SENSITIVE VISITORS - There were three people in the groups who were sensitive to ghosts and spirits and each had different gifts. One was psychic, one was a medium and the other read energy.
WANT TO GO? - If you're interested in attending a tour of the Belmont and meeting the many (and there are many) ghosts who still dwell there, . Here's the info: It's the Belmont Manor Ghost Tour, at the Belmont Manor and Historic Park, 6555 Belmont Woods Road, Elkridge, MD Info: www.belmontmanormd.org or 410-313-0200. On This Day: Oliver Plunkett martyred in 1681 - was his ghost captured on video?
Kenneth Haynes
@IrishCentral
Jul 01, 2019
Saint Oliver Plunkett, the Archbishop of Armagh and Catholic Primate of All Ireland, was the last Catholic to be martyred in England.
Born in 1629, Plunkett's ministry was set in troubled times.
The Catholic cause suffered greatly after the Cromwellian conquest of Ireland, which eventually resulted in a ban on the public practice of Catholicism. Many Catholic clergymen were executed, and Plunkett spent much of his life in hiding, working to advance faith in the Church from behind the scenes.
Plunkett built schools both for the young and for clergy, whom he found "ignorant in moral theology," and took on the problem of alcoholism in the clergy writing, "Let us remove this defect from an Irish priest, and he will be a saint."
On July 1, 1681, Plunkett became the last Catholic martyr to die in England when he was hanged, drawn and quartered after a kangaroo court "trial." He was beatified in 1920 and canonized in 1975.
In 1997, he became a patron saint, adopted by a prominent prayer group campaigning for peace in Ireland, and was named Saint Oliver Plunkett for Peace and Reconciliation.
The Ghost of Oliver Plunkett?
In 2010, British author Vikki Bramshaw claimed to have captured a
ghostly apparition of Saint Oliver Plunkett on video while visiting
Ireland. Bramshaw said she only discovered the image of "the ghost" when she
was later reviewing some of the cellphone footage she took at Saint
Peter's Church in Drogheda, Co Louth, where Plunkett's head and other
remains have been held since 1921.

"I don't really believe in ghosts or anything like that, so I was a bit spooked out to see it when I was checking my video when I got home," Bramshaw told a local Irish newspaper.
"I visited Drogheda between March 10-17 and was taken around Newgrange and other tourist sites, and Saint Peter’s was just one of our stops," she said.
"I was just filming the cell door with my camera phone, and didn't
notice anything unusual at the time, but when I checked it that night, I
was definitely a bit spooked by what I saw."
The video shows what appears to be a face that appears at the small hatch in the door a number of times.
"I watched it, again and again, to see if it was a reflection, but
there are other things reflected in the glass, and they're not moving,
and this does," said Bramshaw, who lives in Southampton.
"I consider myself quite a down-to-earth person, and am keeping an open mind on what it might be."
There have been no other reported sightings of St. Oliver Plunkett in
the church, and Bramshaw had no idea why he would have chosen her to
make a first appearance.
Of course, Bramshaw was not exactly a stranger to the paranormal. She
is the author of many books on witchcraft, including her latest, "Craft
of the Wise: A Practical Guide to Paganism and Witchcraft."
Her biography on Amazon.com says, "Bramshaw is a student, teacher, and author of the esoteric mysteries and initiatory witchcraft.
Having trained for almost 10 years under respected elders, she now runs
her own coven who work on the edge of the New Forest, in Hampshire."
I've written two books about how our pets communicate from the afterlife (called Pets and the Afterlife and Pets and the Afterlife 2), and it's always amazing to me when the signs come. Tomorrow, July 8th, marks 6 years ago that our Dachshund Sprite passed away and today he gave me a sign he is still very much around. Spirits will usually send us signs within 2 weeks of a birthday, anniversary (even of their passing) or holiday. Signs can come in many ways, and you have to be open to recognizing them. That's why I wrote the books -to teach people how to recognize the messages our pets send from spirit to let us know they are still very much around us.
ABOUT SPRITE - Sprite came to us in December of 2010, just before he turned 14 years old. He was born on Dec. 23, 1996 and passed on July 8, 2013.
MAKING A TEE SHIRT - After Sprite passed, I decided to have a tee shirt made with my favorite photo of him, his name and dates. I love the tee shirt and it's one of about 100 plus that I have. Today, Sprite let me know that he was around because that Tee shirt with his picture was the next one in my stack to wear.
>HOW DID IT HAPPEN? - I have a stack of tee shirts in my closet, that I fold in a rectangle. Each week, after doing laundry, the newly laundered tee shirts go on the bottom of the back stacks. As I wear tee shirts from the front stack, I take the top of the back stack and put it under the front stack. - This way, I'm wearing ALL of the tee shirts equally, and not wearing the same one within 90 days. Yeah, I know, it's too organized for some, but that's what I like to do.
SO, imagine my surprise when the top shirt on the front stack was the photo of Sprite... Sprite's tee shirt surfaced as the one to wear today, the day before the anniversary of his passing (actually, today marked the day we rushed him to the ER, because a tumor in is nose ruptured and wouldn't stop bleeding, helping us make the decision for July 8th- as he couldn't walk and wasn't eating either).
NOT A COINCIDENCE - There's no such thing as a coincidence when it comes to spirit.
