WASHINGTON -- Author and paranormal investigator Rob Gutro has updated and revised his breakthrough paranormal book "Ghosts and Spirits" for 2016. The author's four books have all reached best-seller status in Amazon.com's supernatural category.   

"Ghosts and Spirits" was Gutro's first book, originally published in 2010. It was the first paranormal book to distinguish the difference and similarities between Earth-bound ghosts and spirits who have crossed over into "Heaven, Valhalla, Paradise, etc." or whatever people call the other side.

"One of the most incredible stories in the book is about how my dad's spirit helped me prove to my own family members that he was at his own wake and funeral and around during the entire week of his services," Gutro said. "My dad's spirit also helped me find a number of things for my mother, who lived over 300 miles away."

The author, a medium, paranormal investigator, scientist and dog dad, provides proof that people and pets do communicate with us from the other side. He is a medium with Inspired Ghost Tracking of Md. He sketches out what ghosts look like who are haunting private homes and has received many confirmation from homeowners. He is also a parent to three dogs and is a volunteer with Dachshund and Weimaraner rescues.

"I wrote this book to provide some understanding of the difference between an Earth-bound entity and one who crossed over," Gutro said. Readers will learn about orbs, poltergeists, dark entities, the significance of ashes, what happens to murder and suicide victims, how to experience ghosts, how to cross them over, and more. He has learned that when it comes to spirits, there is no such thing as a coincidence. He cautions though that people should not jump to conclusions and think everything is a sign. "There has to be a personal meaning or connection," he said.

In "Ghosts and Spirits" readers will also learn how the author lived in a haunted house, how he experienced many ghosts in historic and other places.

Fun at Strathmore Mansion and a nice compliment

Tea Room & Talk the Strathmore Mansion in Bethesda, MD invited me to give a talk about"How . 

Spirits Communicate, and a Ghost Investigation" during their tea event

  The crowd was wonderful and had great questions. I was honored that my friends Linda and Lynn were there to support me. 

  One of the ladies that works there and whom purchased my "Pets and the Afterlife" book gave me a nice compliment when she told me that she "loved  the book" and actually keeps it on her nightstand. She said it brings her a lot of comfort. That's exactly what I hoped for when I wrote it!  I'm so humbled. 

  I spoke with so many wonderful people who had questions about ghosts, spirits, people and pets. My thanks to Mary and the staff of the Strathmore for asking me back again, and for the great desserts.  

 In a blog next week, I'll talk about what happens with spirit in accidents and murders.

Q&A 2 of 2: Ghosts and Negative Energy

On Saturday, Oct. 8th, I gave a talk at the George Mason Regional Library in Annandale, VA about one of the cases from the Inspired Ghost Tracking Group. The folks who attended had great questions. They also had their own experiences which they shared.
 Here's another question:
 "You said that Ghosts use Negative Emotional energy to power up. Does that energy come back on the living?"  Yes. Having a ghost in your house is like a vicious cycle of bad energy. It matters not what the personality of the ghost may be (they could be a happy ghost) - what matters is because they are earthbound, they use negative emotional energy like fear, anger, anxiety, depression, to "power up" to show you they're around. They also EMIT the same, causing the living to be more fearful, more angry, impatient, depressed, or anxious.  So, that's why even if a ghost has a good personality in your house, they really need to cross over - for their sake, and yours.

Q&A 1 of 2: Why Ghosts in Basements and more /Great questions at Recent Library Appearance

On Saturday, Oct. 8th, I gave a talk at the George Mason Regional Library in Annandale, VA about one of the cases from the Inspired Ghost Tracking Group. The folks who attended had great questions. They also had their own experiences which they shared.
 Here's one of the questions:
1) Why do ghosts seem to linger in basements or attics? 
Think of ghosts as the people they are/were. Since they know that living people now reside in their home, they want their own privacy. So, basements and attics are places that living people only go when they need to, and those places offer the most quiet. It's like an invisible roommate looking for their own room.

Dragonflies Can be a sign from spirit - Story #4: Her Husband's Dragonfly

Spirits (those who have crossed into the light) have the ability to manipulate things in nature to give us signs. Things like dragonflies, birds, butterflies, feathers, flowers, and other things that would help identify them. 
That doesn't mean every time you see a dragonfly someone in spirit is there. The dragonfly or whatever it is would have to have special significance, or behave oddly in a way that it usually would not. Below is Story #1 of 4 about dragonflies and spirit.   


STORY #4 - HER HUSBAND'S DRAGONFLY

  July 12, 2016 at 7:59 AM

     My husband's birthday would have been July 8, but he passed on April 4, 2016. I wanted to visit the cemetery that Sunday after his birthday, feeling drawn to do it with my recent loss. My sister-in-law accompanied me. 

   We sat on the bench in front of the family plot and started speaking about our losses, life and suddenly a dragonfly passed by. In a little while more showed up and then there was a swarm of them just flying around us but concentrating on my husband's and mother-in-law's graves (she passed 2 years ago). They didn't fly around any other graves, just those two and around us. 

   We sat and talked for more than 1/2 hour and the dragonflies never left us. There is no body of water in the cemetery that they would have been drawn to, just us. 

   I don't believe it was a coincidence. I believe it was a communication. The funny thing is that my husband never believed in such things.

 MY REPLY:   Whenever insects like dragonflies behave oddly, they're likely being influenced by spirit as the ones you encountered were. I believe that your husband was telling you he's a believer now!

On Saturday, Oct. 2 from 11am to 2pm, I attended the "Dachtoberfest" dog event  in Middletown, PAhosted by Coast to Coast Dachshund Rescue!  
   There were lots of Dachshunds, vendors, Weiner Races, photos on a Wienermobile, and I gave a talk about "How Pets Communicate from Spirit." It was held outside and despite the low clouds and some fog, and even some sprinkles, people enjoyed the event.

  I was so honored that there were so many who gathered around to hear my talk and offer explanation of how it all works for people and pets who pass, and how they communicate from the other side. There were several folks who had their own experiences and others got confirmation.
  One woman that came by my table later told me that her dad loved hawks. When he passed, she started seeing hawks when she was thinking of him. Her dad influenced hawks to appear around his daughter and he was watching over her. That was his sign.

   I was so happy to see Megan and Matt, who drove all the way up from Maryland with the bonded pair of Dachshunds that they adopted from Coast to Coast the month before. I met them when they filled out the application and I could tell how totally spoiled that pair of doxies are now. What a wonderful sight! My thanks to them for making the drive and for adopting a bonded pair.

MY SON'S DRAGONFLY

November 12, 2013 

    I have had a Beautiful Green Dragonfly with black dots on its body around me since my 26 year old son died by his own hand. I know it was him because I first started seeing them the same color in Pennsylvania the day after he died and it was very cold there.

   

   Now I saw one here in Missouri while my friends and I were looking at my son's year book outside of Barnes & Noble. The dragonfly sat on the outside table the entire 3 hours we were there and then followed me into my truck! 

  It is very cold here now in Missouri and the dragonfly is outside my back door. 

I am a Believer!

Spirit, Messages and Personalities!

We keep our personalities in the afterlife

We keep our memories, personalities and behaviors in the afterlife. Recently when I gave a talk about pets and the afterlife (based on my books of the same name) at Family Vet Clinic in Gambrills, Maryland I was asked why one of three dogs had not yet given signs to his mom, Kim. This also goes for people who passed, too.

Kim said that three of her dogs had passed and she was able to identify signs from 2 of the 3, but wondered why she hadn't heard from the other one. I told her that it's all based on personality. I asked if the dog she had not heard from was passive in life and let the other 2 dogs always get attention. She confirmed that. Well, that's exactly what's happening in the afterlife. That little shy dog is letting her siblings speak for her.

The same thing happened in my family with my mom and dad in spirit. When my dad passed in 2008 he was very active up until Dec. 2013, when my mom passed. Since Dec. 2013 I've only heard from my mom's spirit, because in life, my dad was passive and always stepped back to let my mother do all the talking. So, dad's still around, but he's not saying much, as he did in life.

We all maintain our personalities when we pass, so if someone was quiet in life they'll be quiet in the afterlife. If they were chatty in life, same in the afterlife. We also maintain our habits and behavior, so if a shy person or pet let others get the attention or speak more often, they'll do the same in the afterlife!

What is the Beagle Freedom Project? Please Help!

The Beagle Freedom Project is an organization that needs your help and was created in 2010 to make people aware that laboratories USE BEAGLES for product testing!

I met folks from the project during the New England Pet Expo and was horrified to learn about the cruelty of laboratory testing on these dogs. DOGS have personalities, memories and intelligence just like people do. Stop this insanity.

Every month, 90 beagles that are subject to testing are "discarded" - and the Beagle Freedom Project usually only saves a very few. Believe it or not, “there are nearly 70 thousand dogs in US labs right now, and 96% of them are beagles” explains Shannon Keith, President and Founder of BFP, adding that they “are the breed of choice because they are so gentle, docile and forgiving.” Aside from rescuing hundreds of dogs so far, the organization has pushed the passing of the Beagle Freedom Bill in four states.

On November 23, 2011, ARME's Beagle Freedom Project rescued 40 beagles from a laboratory in Spain where some had spent their entire lives. Others had come from other labs to the lab in Spain, only to be tested on in there. When we heard the lab was closing and the dogs would be killed, we stepped in and rescued them by flying them to Los Angeles, CA, to BFP Headquarters.

On Sept 27, Tuesday, 7:30-9pm I joined fellow investigators from the Inspired Ghost Tracking Group to Talk about the  "Double Murder Ghost Investigation" at the Belmont Mansion, Elkridge, Maryland. 

 

Group founder Margaret Erhlich provided the introduction, and I led the talk with the help of investigators Ronda, Greg, Diane, and Dana. 

 

The talk focused on an investigation where the Inspired Ghost Tracking Team mediums and members used scientific instruments to help prove the identities of two ghosts who were victims of a double murder.
