Today is a day to completely and finally let something or someone go out of your experience. So many times we allow toxic relationships or experiences to last way longer than they should. Every time we live a painful memory over and over in our head we are keeping it alive. Let it go. You know that old saying.. if you love something, set it free. If it comes back, it is yours. Today may be the day to say a final goodbye. Mourn the   loss of what you loved, and set it free and set yourself free.

Glen Grant's "Chick'n Skin" Paranormal Show (6 min video)

Last week I told you about Glen Grant from Hawaii's Paranormal community. A great storyteller and paranormal advocate. This is another episode from his 1990s Hawaii broadcast television show called "Chick'n Skin" (as in goosebumps that you experience in the presence of a ghost). Glen passed in 2003, but left these chilling stories behind.

Did you know - Glen Grant in the Hawaiian Paranormal Community?

 A friend of mine from Hawaii recently told me about a legendary paranormal storyteller from Hawaii and some of his TV show videos are still on YouTube to enjoy. He was a host of a show called "Chick'n Skin" (like goosebumps experienced when a ghost is near you).
  Glen Grant passed away at 56 in June 2003. According to the Honolulu Star Bulletin newspaper, "He was a Hawaiian who was best known as an expansive storyteller of local supernatural lore -- in print, with his popular obake and chicken skin tales, in person during tours of haunted Oahu locales, and on radio. But Grant was also an avid Hawaiiana historian, a small-businessman and active community member of the Moiliili he so loved. Ryan said he had just been elected to the center's board in January.
Grant, business partner Jill Staas and friends ran the popular "Honolulu Timewalks" and "Ghostbusters" walking tours from offices in the century-old Kamada Building near the corner of University Avenue and South King Street, next door to their bookshop-coffee bar the Haunt."

Here comes A and E to ruin your childhood with a reality TV Ghostbusters starring Rob Lowe and his two 20-something sons. The network announced today that it green-lit The Lowe Files, a nine-episode series that will take Rob, Matthew, and John Owen Lowe on a tour of the spookiest parts of the U.S. Did you know that Rob Lowe believes in ghosts? Because according to A&E’s press release, he’s obsessed:

Since I was a kid I’ve loved unexplained legends, strange phenomena and the scary, supernatural stories told around campfires. When I became a father I shared those tales with my two sons. Together we bonded over Bigfoot, UFO’s, and every creepy and bizarre story we could find, passionately debating if they were real…or not. And we swore that someday the three of us would go on our own adventure to find out. That day has come.

See, The Lowe Files isn’t really about ghosts; it’s about fatherhood. Per A&E’s Elaine Frontain Bryant, “Their explorations will certainly lead them to dynamic and exciting places, but a nostalgic journey for a father and his sons is what’s at the heart of the series’ underlying mission.” Most parents just guilt their kids into coming home for the holidays to stave off empty-nest syndrome, but sure, a reality show also works.

Tarot Tuesday: 3 of Cups: Get together with friends and celebrate

Here's this week's Tarot lesson from my friend Joy Andreasen. 
  
 Today might be a day to get together with friends and celebrate or perhaps just blow off some steam. There is never a bad time to find your tribe and just be together. In today's society sometimes we have a tendency to isolate ourselves from human contact. Our biggest communications sometime tend to be done electronically, through texting or social media. There is much to be said for actual face time, spent in the company of others. Perhaps a social gathering is in order. Even a meal spent together brings a sense of community and intimacy. Today find some to get together with people you love.

Description: The Three of Cups represents groups coming together to focus on a common emotional goal. People reach out emotionally to one another. It speaks of a sense of community, and can indicate the time to get more involved by helping. An inner passion for caring may be discovered, and energy put forth toward a goal will be positive and nurturing. A Dog's Spirit Appears under the Northern Lights and a surprise birthday message

The following email is one that I received recently from a woman named Cora, who received an amazing sign from her beloved dog who passed. Several people she knew said they see her dog in a photo taken under the Northern Lights. Here's her letter and photos of her dog Andrex, and the photo of her friend in the Northern Lights and the image of Andrex in the bottom right side.
  Spirits can appear in photos, and they don't have to appear in full color. Notice that the outline of Andrex appears to glow. This photo was not enhanced, and it seems odd that area is glowing... but, as I've said with spirit, there's no such thing as a coincidence. 
  After getting permission from Cora to share this story, I decided to post it on the weekend of April 22/23. It turned out that Andrex had influenced me to PICK that weekend!  -
  Here's Cora's note after I emailed her the date I would post:
Dear Rob  Your choosing of 22nd April has a significant meaning to me.  Andrex's birthday is 23rd April!  Andrex might have sent you a message It seems that he is guiding me to approach Sonya and you, it seems that he is making me to realize that he is around me, the uncommon events happened made me noticed, Andrex is constantly sending me messages, I even heard him moving things inside my room at night, licking his paws, the licking sound was so familiar.

   Following is Cora's Original Story of how Andrex showed up in Finland:

 ANDREX AND THE NORTHERN LIGHTS
It happened that Amazon.com recommended your book "Pets and the Afterlife" while I am still grieving about the pass away of my beloved Border Collie Andrex, who left me this January on the 15th of prostate cancer.  Everything happened so fast that it was just within 1.5 months the horrible disease took my son away, which was 9.9 year-old.

The reason why I write to you now, is that I want to share with you an experience that I had with Andrex when I took a trip to Finland ten days after Andrex died.

My friend, who was a very close friend to me and Andrex, captured an unbelievable photo in Finland while she was appreciating the Northern lights.  She showed me the picture, I shouted out and said to her, Andrex was in the picture!!! He was there, sitting opposite to my friend, looking up to the sky, appreciating the Northern lights too!  It was exactly the shape of a dog, not other dogs, but the shape of Andrex, the body shape, the height.... it was him.

It sounds a bit crazy and it seems that I am just being exaggerated but my feeling told me that it was Andrex, I showed it to some friends and those were close to him recognized him!  It was indeed a little snow path next to my friend, but I would believe it was Andrex, too amazing to believe.

Tarot Tuesday: Face the Issues You've Previously Avoided

Are you feeling backed into a corner? Does it seem sometimes that you are always on the defensive? I wish I could say that it will all be over soon but I am feeling like April may present a lot of challenges. The good news is we get to decide how we are going to react to those challenges. If we have reacted badly in the past, guess what. We get another chance to face the same challenge and do it better this time. Communications and relationships are really taking a hit right now. It is time for us to go within ourselves and decide what things we can overlook and what things are deal breakers. Face those issues you have previously avoided. You may feel all alone in the fight or the fight may be completely within your own psyche. You can overcome! Don't give up!
