This was an inspiring book for the skeptic in me. Honestly, at first it was hard to believe. After reading this book, things make more sense in a spiritual way. This is a must read book.

Cole reviewed Kindred Spirits: How a Spirit Befriended a Medium  This book is everything you want and more. December 4, 2019 The title immediately grabbed my attention. As someone who believes in Spirit and supernatural. Knowing that someone has befriended a spirit completely intrigued. First I want to start off by saying is the book is for everyone to read, old or young. Skeptics or believers. It is put together in a very accessible way. While reading you do not feel like Rob is talking at you, it feels like he is in the room with you, talking face to face. He breaks down things is such a profound way that makes is very easy to understand. The book feels like an old friend taking your hand and walking you through very complex topics, in a manageable way. It has opened my mind to the possibly of people who have passed being around me. I thoroughly enjoyed every page. I shared a laugh, cry and love with the writer. If you are looking for a good read, please read. You will not be disappointed.

What are Rob Gutro's 6 Books About?

I'm a medium and a paranormal investigator, who has been able to communicate with those who passed since I was 13 years old. Since 2005, when my puppy passed, I've been able to also communicate with pets in the afterlife. Ed's Message On the Anniversary of his passing: "Kindred Spirits"

Recently at my office, I went to lunch with 3 colleagues who have each had paranormal experiences. We talked about living in haunted homes and their experiences with humans or animals who passed. I never mentioned Ed's spirit, whom is the subject of my latest book "Kindred Spirits: How a Medium Befriended a Spirit." But, Ed wanted me to know he's around. Here's what happened.

This week, during the Christmas rush of getting presents together, baking and organizing things, I heard Ed on Thursday, Dec. 19 suggest taking three copies of my "Kindred Spirits" book to work and give one each to my colleagues. I didn't think anything of it until this morning. Then it hit me. 

Today is the anniversary of Ed's passing. I totally forgot, but he didn't. 

I was reminded when I checked my husband's facebook page and he posted the following "Though the voice may be quiet, the memory of you remains. You are still greatly missed. 10/15/60 - 12/20/96."
There, looking at me was Ed's face in a photo that Tom posted.  

As I gave Paul, Michelle and Courtney their copies, I realized it was the anniversary of his passing, and that Ed wanted to reassure me that he's still very much alive and around. It brought a tear to my eyes, and a comfort. 

That's how spirits work. They will influence you to do things on a certain date that is special to them, so that we'll know they are still around us. I personally know Rob and he's helped me deal with the passing of family members as well as pets. This book was very eye opening to the signs that are all around us. I really enjoyed learning about Ed and Rob's friendship. Rob has a way of drawing you in and while reading this I felt like my sister, who has passed, was reading along with me. I could hear her laughing and saying see it is me doing strange things so you know I'm with you. Thank you, Rob for another amazing read!

 

Recap/Photos: Great Halloween Tea Event at the Strathmore Mansion!

On Wednesday Oct. 30, I was honored to return for the 3rd year in a row to speak at the Special Afternoon Halloween Tea at the Strathmore Mansion in Bethesda, Maryland. I spoke about Haunted Places in Maryland and Paranormal Investigations and about the special spirit named Ed. He's the topic of my newest book called "Kindred Spirits: How a Medium Befriended a Spirit."

The event was full of people! There was wonderful piano music in the beginning of the event and the mansion and especially the room were decorated nicely for Halloween. During and after my talk, there were many great questions and some people told me they found the answers they were seeking about spirits and Earth-bound ghosts.

PODCAST! Rob Talks about his book "Kindred Spirits" on Dr. Grimmy's Medicine Show (Radio)

I had a really wonderful time talking with Dr. Grimmy on his radio show late on Oct. 26 to early this morning, Oct. 27th.  Before the interview there was 44 minutes where Dr. Grimmy spoke to callers about religious views of mediums (which are never favorable - and the caller echoed that). My interview starts at about 45 minutes, and I had a great time discussing spirits, ghosts, my new book "Kindred Spirits," and all things paranormal. There were some great callers during my segment who asked great questions.

This is a fascinating story of a spirit (Ed) who befriended Rob and continues to enrich his life in so many ways. It is heartwarming to read his story filled with lessons for all of us, comfort for those morning a great loss and advice for all of us to use in contacting those in spirit. Knowing that our loved ones and precious pets live on and are around us is incredibly comforting.

I could not put this book down. I thoroughly enjoyed it from beginning to end. What an amazing story of a special bond that develops unexpectedly but not by coincidence ( because there’s no such as coincidences.) between Rob and a very special spirit Ed. The way Rob is able to channel Ed’s messages for him to help bring healing ,love ,laughter and confirmation that he like many other spirits that have crossed are still very much around us all the time . I highly recommend this book, I have only touched on a few things that I loved about this book, there truly is so much that I could go on about . You won’t be disappointed, and maybe it’s not a coincidence that your meant to purchase this book , or that your reading this review .

Ed's Spirit Appears as Superman at a Comic-Con!

This past weekend I went to New Hampshire to give fundraising talks at 2 Animal Rescues about my 2 "Pets and the Afterlife" books. I also talked about my new book called "Kindred Spirits" which is about 14 years of communications from a spirit named Ed, and how I befriended him. 
  Well, Ed likes to remind me that he's still very much around and he did so again during this trip.
Because I had a couple of hours to use before I went to the rescue, and I learned there was a comic-con in the same city of Manchester, New Hampshire, I decided to go there and enjoy it.

  As I was walking around, I was attracted to a photo on one of the walls. I looked at the picture and it appeared that Ed was looking back at me, dressed in a Superman costume (my favorite hero)! Of course, I'm sure it wasn't Ed, but the man looked just like Ed (from the photos I've seen). 
  I don't know who the man is, but the resemblance is uncanny. I've posted a photo of Ed here, too, so you can compare for yourself.
    I knew it was a sign from Ed telling me he's with me, and he was proud of me talking about his spirit-life story in the new book!

Spirits will often lead you to someone who looks like them to convey the message that they are very much around you. Kindred Spirits: Ed Appears to Lauren While She's Reading the Book

I didn't know that my friend Lauren ordered my new book "Kindred Spirits" until she sent me this email a couple of weeks ago and it was freaky! 
  I'll preface this by saying that Lauren didn't know anything about Ed, the topic of the Kindred Spirits book. Her email to me clearly indicated to me that Ed's spirit dropped in and visited her to thank her for reading about him, knowing that she would tell me!
  Here''s what she wrote:  

Rob-  Today, I went out to the patio behind our building which is in the sun and has tables and decided to pull out my kindle to read for a few minutes. I downloaded Kindred Spirits last night, so I opened it up and began to read.

I want to set the stage that I am sitting outside, in the sun, by myself, and there are noises in the background...like a yard crew with a leaf blower around the corner, and people walk by on the sidewalk occasionally. 

  While I was reading, a noise caught my attention, like the sound you hear in a marina when a halyard bangs into a sailboat mast. It happened three times in succession and I looked up and looked around and couldn't find the source of the sound. Things had become very quiet and all the other noises had stopped. 

   It sounded like someone trying to get my attention, so I closed my eyes and I had a vision of a man with dark hair, but it was blurry and black and white. I opened my eyes, decided that I was trying to think about Ed because I was reading about him, and went back to reading.  

    On the very next page I came to Ed's physical description, and you described him as "handsome, with dark hair and a nice smile. I got goosebumps because the man I saw was sort of in a half profile, not smiling, but did have dark hair. I turned the next page and nearly fell out of my chair because the photo of Ed in the book.....its blurry, he has dark hair, isn't smiling, and its black and white...it was him.

I am already second guessing myself. The fleeting picture I saw in my mind was like a fuzzy radio signal. But, then on the next page, there he was. 
  "Pages" in a kindle can vary based on what size font you are looking at, so I don't know for certain what the pages are in the hard copy. But, man. I swear I saw him before I saw his picture. I don't know what to make of it.

Ed's Spirit Sends a Sign of Approval! (read my new book "Kindred Spirits")

If you haven't read my new book "Kindred Spirits: How a Medium Befriends a Spirit" then you may
not know about Ed, a spirit whom I befriended after getting continual messages over the last 14 years. Our story is in that book - and we never met in life.
   The book was just published in July and I've been doing several interviews about the book since then. Each time, Ed is always standing behind me listening and telling me what to talk about. He's pretty happy about the book since he passed away in 1996, and the book lets everyone know how he and other spirits are still very much around. 
   In fact, on Saturday, August 17th, I sensed him around while we were doing laundry. He gave us a confirmation, too.  My partner Tom took the sheets out of the dryer and brought them into the bedroom. He put them down on the bed and shook them out, and a penny dropped out of them!  How that got in there (and why it didn't fall out on the way from the dryer to the bedroom is because Ed didn't want it to fall out yet).  The penny was dated 1996 - the year Ed passed away! 
  Spirits send us signs in many ways, and Ed loves using coins with the 1996 date on them. Keep in mind, that's 23 years ago.  Glad to see that Ed approves of his book and my story with him!

I read this book less than a week after euthanizing my dog. I read all of Rob's books so when this became available I ordered it. Several parts of this book felt like they were written just for me, answering questions I had swirling in my head. I believe in Rob and feel he is the real deal. He has something very special and a pure heart. I found this book to be interesting and amazing and I can see a spirit being attracted to Rob because of his honesty and goodness. Ed wanted to bring a message and knew to trust Rob to give it. I totally can understand that. Through Rob's books I am learning to trust my own ability to communicate with my own departed love ones.
If you are hurting from the loss of someone you love don't hesitate to read this book or any other of Rob's books. It will bring you comfort at this painful time in your life.
