Getting a Message Part 5: Feelings and Feeling

Credit: http://5th-teens-rainbow.blogspot.com/
This is the fifth part in getting messages. Getting feelings is one of the ways I usually get my messages from Earth-bound ghosts or spirits who have crossed over. When spirits or ghosts connect with me, they will sometimes share the pain they experienced to tell me how they passed. I've felt a blow to the head, shot, stabbed, punched, heart attack, shortness of breath, severe abdominal pain, and once while walking through a castle in England I felt a ghostly sword slice through my left shoulder.
In addition, I've also felt the emotions that spirits or ghosts experience. Whenever a spirit comes through, sometimes the love they're sharing is overwhelming and it literally brings me to tears. Other spirits direct me to hug the person they're communicating to through me.
Ghosts and spirits will also convey they are present by poking, moving things, and more. When my dad passed, his spirit came to me that night and gave me a cold hug in my kitchen, some 400 miles away. Why was it cold, and why do ghost hunters comment on "cold spots" when ghosts are communicating?  Because of energy. fast moving molecules of air are present in warm air. when the energy is removed (by a ghost or spirit so they can energize), the  molecules slow down and the air cools.
So, spirits and ghosts can communicate their feelings, either physical or emotional, and make us feel them, too.

Getting a Message Part 4: Dreams

This is part four in a series of how to acknowledge messages. One of the easiest ways for us to get messages from the other side is to see our loved ones in our dreams. When we lose a loved one we immediately want a sign from them that they're okay. Because our GRIEF blocks those signals, one of the easiest ways for spirits to come to us then, is in our dreams. When we're awake, not only does grief block out signs, but so does our logical minds. We're always taught to explain things or discount them as being a coincidence. There is no such thing as a coincidence.

I Had a Dream of My Mom! What does it mean? - My mom passed away on Dec. 29, 2013, so the event is still very raw to me. When I awoke on Thursday, January 16th, I remembered that I dreamt of my mother. She was in her kitchen, looking decades younger and all dressed up. Almost like this picture I took in 2005, but mom appeared about 20 years younger (in her 50s). She said that I need to "put this on your key tag" - and handed me something off her house and car keys. I'm not sure what the object was - perhaps a tag, or a key. Whatever it was, she wanted me to carry something of hers with me. I think that that was the message.

My mom in her kitchen, similar to how I saw her in the dream
WHAT DOES A SPIRIT IN A DREAM MEAN?  Spirits come into our dreams usually when they can't convey a message to us in other ways. They come to us to show us that they're okay on the other side. Usually it's a peaceful setting. My partner  dreamt of someone who passed walking through a meadow with him - that's a common scenario.
What's interesting is that after my dad passed he never came to me in a dream. Likely because he was so active in my waking moments. He played with electricity, gave me messages I could understand, I heard him, sensed him and even saw him. With my mom, I heard her a couple of times, and she gave me the musical sign. This was a really great confirmation.
Don't feel frustrated if your loved one doesn't come to you in a dream. They may have tried other ways to contact you and have been unsuccessful. It doesn't mean they're ignoring you. In fact, it's likely quite the opposite. They're likely on the other side saying "Why doesn't my loved one just see the darn signs I'm giving them!?!"

Getting a Message Part 3: Music/Words

Spirits love to use television, radio and music as a means to communicate with us. Spirits and ghosts are both made up of energy and their personalities and memories. As energy, they have the ability to tune into electricity and radio/tv waves and they can manipulate it. On the other side, spirits would also know what radio station is playing what song, so they can influence you to turn a certain radio station on at a certain time, to hear a song that will remind you of them.
The same thing goes for television. You may walk into your living room and d
ecide to see what's on television, and hit the remote to pick a channel. The channel may be showing a program or actor that they loved when they were on the physical plane. That's because they're influencing you to turn on the TV at that particular time, to send you a message that they're with you.
Music is especially healing and a great means for spirits to communicate. When my puppy Buzz passed, I came into the house after the terrible accident that took his life and I heard Alan Jackson's song "(My heart is as empty as a) Monday Morning Church." It was the song of a man singing about the loss of the love of his life. That was no coincidence. It was a message from Buzz.
So, pay attention to music, what's being said on TV or on the radio whenever you're inspired to turn them on... or if you put a CD in your car and the song reminds you of someone who passed... know they are there with you.

Getting a Message Part 1: Concentration

This is Part 1 in a 7 Part series of how to "get messages" from those on the other side. I hope you find this information helpful, and please share with me any questions! You can email me at Rgutro@gmail.com.

Whenever I give talks or go on investigations with Inspired Ghost Tracking (the group I belong to as a medium on staff), I get questions about the environment in which I receive the messages. People ask if I can get messages when its loud and busy or mostly quiet. Mostly the messages come through when it's quiet (although some boisterous spirits with strong personalities can come through in crowds or loud environments). I mostly get messages from ghosts or spirits whenever I find myself relaxed (I'm usually relaxed on an investigation, too).

blot out your surroundings
Not being one to meditate, I actually find that my mind is clear and I'm relaxed while doing certain activities, as you likely do. Next time you're doing one of the following things, listen closely and see if you hear something out of the ordinary, like music or a voice, or get a thought in your head that doesn't seem to be anything you would think of - then you're likely getting  a message from a ghost or spirit.
These are the places that I get messages and relax:
1) driving
2) in front of the computer
3) in the shower or bath
4) laying in bed trying to go to sleep with my eyes closed
5) if the environment is quiet
Of course, if you can meditate, do it!  Go put to pandora.com and type in "relaxation channel." That will help soothe you.  Then focus. Focus on your heartbeat and block the thoughts of whatever is happening in your world out. Picture a flower in the center of your vision and focus on it. Then listen. See what messages you pick up.
