Paranormal Q&A: Is this something that you practice constantly?

Each week, I'll answer a question about the paranormal, whether a general question, or one about human or animal ghosts (Earthbound) or spirits (crossed over). Here's this week's question: 

Q: Is this something that you practice constantly, or do you only do medium work when it is called upon?

A: Good question!  I don't practice. Ghosts (earthbound) and Spirits (who crossed over) come to me when they come to me.  

The only times I actually focus to tune in is when I get emails from people who find me on-line or have read my books and ask me about someone (person or pet) who has passed. Then I concentrate.

Same as when I go into a private residence on a paranormal investigation to try and help the ghost. Otherwise I can usually block the messages out when I get preoccupied or concentrate on something. The exception however, was during my two trips to England where there are a bevy of ghosts from history and many of them called to me and gave me messages and clues to their identities and why they were still lingering on Earth as a ghost. Fascinating book: A Gift of Spirit (a UK Ghost Photographer)

I recently read the U.K. paranormal book called "The  Gift of Spirit" with photos from a UK Ghost
Photographer. 
  The writer is Christina Schumacher and the photographer is Ron Bowers.  This book was recommended to me by a U.K. follower of this blog (so thanks for the great recommendation!) - the book is available on Amazon.com and well-worth a read!

  In short, there are many amazing and interesting photos and it is filled with well-researched stories. The stories are well written, and the photographs are amazing. 
  I appreciate the links they provided to the color photos on-line where it's easier to see the ghosts in the photos.

   The hauntings were well-researched and the photographer obviously has a link to the afterlife where ghosts sense that he's trying to help tell their story. 
  All locations are in Essex, England (east coast) and there are a lot of haunted places!

Today's Tarot card is the Star.

Today is a day to connect with the stars or perhaps think about following your dreams. Just as the magi followed a star to find their messiah, sometimes higher guidance is needed to lead you in your journey to the highest expression of your soul. Whether that star symbolizes a higher Benevolent Helper or your own Higher Wisdom, today you may find that connecting with that Higher Wisdom is exactly what you need to guide you toward that perfect path to your ultimate destiny. You may not reach the goal today, but you will have more clarity about your purpose and direction.

ABOUT THE CARD:  The Star (XVII) is the seventeenth trump or Major Arcana card in most traditional Tarot decks. It is used in game playing as well as in divination.

Photos from the Animal Rescue of Rhode Island Lectures (and adoptable dogs)!

   On Sunday, June 24th I gave two lectures about "Pets and the Afterlife" to benefit the Animal Rescue of Rhode Island (ARRI) in Peace Dale, RI, south of Providence).  What an AMAZING facility and staff. This blog features a collection of pictures I took, including of some of the beautiful animals needing forever homes.

  The rescue operates solely on donations, and all of the staff are volunteers. The people that volunteer there walk dogs, clean cages, feed, exercise and vet the animals.  Of course, the cost of vetting each animal that comes into the shelter is expensive, so all donations are very welcome.

   I went to the shelter about 10 years ago, when my friend Jamie Gardner (who volunteered there) introduced me to it. Since then, the shelter has expanded and improved to suit the massive influx of homeless pets.
