Audience Response to my Recent Talk about Experiences in 3 Maryland Mansions

  • In order to get to know me a little better, I thought I'd share these audience reactions from my talk at Inspired Ghost Trackers in Odenton, Md. They're a great group of folks. There were 45 people there on June 10th, and it was a fun night.

REACTIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE TO MY TALK ABOUT THREE HISTORIC MANSIONS IN MARYLAND. About the evening:  Rob joined our group after coming to us as a guest speaker about his book "Ghost and Spirits: Insight from a Medium". Rob is joining us tonight about some of our tours we have gone on.  He will be speaking about his experiences at Montpelier Mansion, Riversdale Mansion, and Sotterly Plantation.  We will also show a slide of pictures from all of the locations. Rob will have his book if anyone is interested in it and can see him at breaks or after the lecture.  More Info about Inspired Ghost Trackers: http://www.meetup.com/inspiredghosttracking/

Rob is a great guy and did a fantastic lecture on the places we had visit. He kept asking for other peoples opinions which I thought was a benefit to him. He picked up on a lot of things at all the locations and validated them with Troy and others in the group. I would have Rob back anytime, as the group really loved him.
  • Julie (+1)
    Researcher/Lead Investigator, Assistant Organizer
I really enjoyed this Meetup. There was alot of group participation and Rob was very comfortable being the speaker at this meeting. Very enjoyable and informative even though I did not join IGT during the actual three house tours.

I am certainly fortunate to have had the opportunity to meet and listen to Rob. I am almost finished with his book and will be looking forward to his next publication. Anytime you can have Rob back to speak with us please let me know.
  • Kathleen Schueler

I thought this was an excellent meet-up with Rob. Very interesting. I learned a few more tips, which, explained my experiences on our Ghost hunts. What seemed to be the best news out of all this for me is how Rob advised Ghosts needs to be helped in crossing over. This is so true. I just can't understand why so many people who does this type of work, don't help the ghost cross. Maybe Rob can do (if he wouldn't mind), a lesson on teaching people how to cross over these lost souls? Just a thought :) Again, I enjoyed our meet-up and I hope Rob comes back again to speak at our group meeting?
  • Nancy Turner

Rob is awesome! He is really informative and helpful.

Happy Father's Day to Dads on Earth and Those Who Have Passed

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY.
Even though my dad is on the "other side" of life that was the first thing I said (to him) when I got up this morning.
Even if your dad has passed, he can still hear you- so tell him hello and let him know how thankful you are for him (or that you forgive him if he wasn't a good father during his lifetime on Earth- which he now knows).  Regardless, wishing all dads a great day.
DID YOU KNOW ITS ORIGIN? Father's Day in the United States is on the third Sunday of June. It celebrates the contribution that fathers and father figures make for their children's lives. Its origins may lie in a memorial service held for a large group of men, many of them fathers, who were killed in a mining accident in Monongah, West Virginia in 1907.

Discovery Channel Program: Scientific Look at Tracking Souls to the Afterlife

The Discovery Channel program called "Through the Wormhole," hosted by Morgan Freeman has a very interesting episode called "Tracking Souls to the Afterlife." Looks like a very interesting program.
 - As a scientist myself, I believe that the energy within us has to go somewhere when we die. For energy cannot be destroyed, only transformed. That's when we choose to remain earth-bound as a ghost (which we will later regret and try to move into the light), or just move into the light and become a spirit.
I'm always looking for more scientific evidence. This is worth watching.

Memorial Day: Soldiers of Various Wars/Battlefields

This is Memorial Day weekend, and I thought it fitting to write about the brave souls who fought for this country. When people are killed suddenly, sometimes they don't realize that they're actually dead. When their bodies are killed there's a mental blackout period and the soul awakens separated from the body. Sometimes the soul doesn't realize he or she has been killed and lingers trying to make contact with the living. Other times, they'll see their dead physical body and move into the light. Sometimes the emotional energy of the death or deaths in the case of a battlefield will linger. Such is the case in many of the civil war battlefields.
 - Gettysburg, Pennsylvania is well-known for residual hauntings where battle charges can be seen at night by the ghostly men who did them during the Civil War. Residual hauntings occur when the same thing happens over and over and there's no ability to converse with the living. It's like a movie being rewound and replayed over and over.
There are also reports of intelligent haunts at Gettysburg as well, where individual ghosts will interact and communicate with the living by sounds, movement, or some other sign.
IF YOU LOST SOMEONE IN A WAR: If you've lost a loved one in a war or conflict, SPEAK TO THEM and tell them that if they are stuck on Earth as a ghost that they need to move into the light and cross over. If you've dreamt about them - that means that they've already crossed over.
MY EXPERIENCE:
Back in March, 2011, we took a trip to central Virginia and stayed in the town of Orange. Although I was aware that civil war battlefields peppered Virginia I didn't realize we would be driving right through the middle of one until the energy became overwhelming. Fortunately, I was in the passenger seat and my partner was driving. It felt like my head was full of thoughts of sadness, anxiety, and nervousness.
I looked up and we were driving through a forested area on Route 20 in central Virginia and I asked where we are. My partner told me that we were going through the "Wilderness Battlefield."  The  Wilderness Battlefield is located near Orange, Virginia about 15 miles from Fredericksburg and located on what is now state route 20.
Mr Walker, Tour Guide
Lee and Grant clashed at the Wilderness for the first time on May 5-6, 1864. This vicious engagement resulted in 26,000 casualties and marked Grant's first step toward Appotomax.
Once we got past the battlefield area the energy began to wane and my head cleared.  If you go to a battlefield and sense there are some earth-bound ghosts (intelligent haunts), please tell them to move into the light so they can finally achieve peace.   I didn't sense any intelligent haunting going on there.

The website www.Visitorangevirginia.com says "Orange County is rich in Civil War history. Visit the Civil War Museum at the Exchange Hotel located in historic Gordonsville. This elegant hotel was converted to a Receiving Hospital and treated over 70,000 men. Drive through Maplewood Cemetery, the resting place of 700 Confederate soldiers. Walk on the Wilderness Civil War Battlefield or visit Ellwood Manor which was visited by Marquis de Lafayette, and was serviced as a Confederate Hospital and later as the Headquarters of three Union generals. It is the burial site of the arm of General Stonewall Jackson.

Does Jason(or James/Justin) Belong to you?

Earlier this month I was in northern Virginia at Barb Mallon's medium session and a young man came to me in spirit. No one seemed to identify with this young man (although they may have not put the pieces together) - so I'm reaching out to all of you who read this page.
 - The first name I heard was Jason, although I also thought I heard James or Justin. (They could've been others with him, or his actual name).
 - This was a young man who was playing either high school or college football. He wore a white jersey. He showed me the number 79. That could mean the Year he was born or died, or the number on his football jersey.  - He was in his late teens or 20s when he died. He showed me that he was in a warm/hot place when he died and there were palm trees around. He could have been on vacation in a subtropical place either in the U.S. southeast or other country, or he lived in a southern U.S. state. Sometimes spirits will show mediums signs that they can relate to- like a palm tree to me indicates a warm southern state or tropical country/island.
 - He told me that he died in a car accident.
- "Jason" (as I'll call him) told me that it was his time and that he was sorry he had to go. However, he's at peace now, and he wants those he left behind to know that he's fine. He told me over and over that he wants to give his loved ones a hug.
 - If you know who this spirit is, please let me know!

The May 21st Doomsday Theory

I thought it important to provide some information about this ridiculous theory that the world will end on May 21. Throughout this century (and I'm sure many before) some preachers have predicted the World's End, over and over and over. The current false prophet -Harold Camping, is no different.
In fact, he already predicted the end of the world in 1994. Like the others, he's doing it for attention, just like the preacher in Florida who burned holy books to get attention. They need attention, but the type of attention they need is in the form of psychological help!

FROM USA TODAY:  FAQ about May 21st Doomsday, Judgment Day and Harold Camping

What will (supposedly) happen on May 21?
Christian radio host Harold Camping says that a rapture will take place on May 21.
What is a rapture?
A rapture is the idea that believers will be taken up to heaven. Camping's followers suggest that about 200 million people will be raptured.
Will the world end immediately?
Not according to Camping. He says that the world will end on October 21.
Who is Harold Camping?
Camping, 89, is president of the Family Radio Christian network who previously claimed that the world would end in 1994.
Why May 21?
Camping uses a combination of dates and numbers to suggest May 21 is the correct day.
Do other Christians believe the same idea?
Most Christian leaders do not embrace Camping's predictions, however, some have taken fairly dramatic measures. One man spent his savings on advertisements in New York and a woman dropped out of medical school before she ran out of savings.  (IN MY OPINION, THESE PEOPLE ARE SIMPLY STUPID).

If you've lost a loved one: Some Important things to know

I've been thinking about some important things you need to know if you've lost a loved one in various circumstances. I was inspired to write this blog because an infant girl recently came through to me with words, pictures and messages for her surviving relatives.
On a related note, I've been reading a great book called "Hello from Heaven," by Bill and Judy Guggenheim, who cataloged 3000 after death communications. That is, communications from loved ones who passed on and give verbal, visual or tactile communication with them. In the book, the mention the story of a woman whose infant daughter died.
The woman who lost her baby was a church-going woman and told the authors that because her infant daughter didn't get baptized, she feared the spirit of the baby was doomed to eternal hell!  Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. Baptism is a man-made practice. I was Catholic and understand what it's all about, but the church was wrong to say that if you're not baptized you go to hell or you don't experience "heaven" or the peace in the afterlife. Think about how cruel that sounds if you love an infant, dog or cat, or person who has never been baptized.
There are a LOT of misconceptions that religions have taught people that need to be corrected. These misconceptions do nothing for the living left behind but cause them agony, grief and totally unnecessary pain. Where these ideas came from in religions, I have no idea. All I know is that with the ability to communicate with the dead, I've learned first hand that the religions are wrong and people can now take COMFORT instead of being in agony because of what their church says.
The little infant girl that communicated with me - and I was able to confirm all of the things she told me- assured me that she was in a beautiful place in the afterlife. She was with family members. She was at peace and wanted her parents to know.
Here are some of the truths in what happens when people pass:
1) You don't need to be baptized to go to a peaceful place in the afterlife and go into the light.
2) Dogs, cats and horses all have intelligence and indeed have souls. All animals have souls and all go into the light in the afterlife. Religions that teach otherwise are very wrong. My late puppy and many other dogs have come to me - and I've been able to confirm things about their lives with their owners.
3) People who are gay go to heaven and cross into the light. Religions are wrong. Spirits of many gay people have communicated with me and many others. After all people who are tattooed and eat shrimp go to heaven (same passage in Exodus) - do you see how foolish these things are?
4) People who are sick in life, mentally or physically, or have lost a limb, sight, hearing, etc. ARE made whole in the afterlife.
5) People who commit suicide go into the light. Some choose to linger behind on Earth in an effort to reconcile taking their lives and then move into the light. They sometimes feel grief, agony and guilt for taking their own lives - an awakening that happens when they move into a spiritual being. Eventually, they can move into the light and achieve peace.

Attended Medium Barb Mallon's Event!

Barb Mallon conveying messages
This weekend I attended Barb Mallon's medium event in northern Virginia. I acted as an MC for her so she could relax and tune in beforehand. Anyone that knows Barb knows that she's a bundle of energy and that energy came through in many readings for people in the full-house audience that night. People were captivated by the messages she received.
One spirit that came through was that of a man named John, who rode a motorcycle. Barb knew exactly which person John was connected to - and identified the man. Although a few others in the room kept thinking it was their "John" it turned out not to be when Barb gave more information. One piece of info that blew everyone away was when Barb said to the man in the audience, "Did you just get a new tattoo? John is telling me to ask about your tattoo and why it's special to him."  The man responded that he DID just get a new tattoo on his arm, and that it said "R.I.P. John" and the tattoo artist reproduced the late John's signature in the middle of the tattoo.   WOW.
When you're in a large audience, there tends to be a number of people who can identify with what the medium is saying- but when people in Barb's audience kept
trying "to make something fit," Barb insisted that they don't do that. She said "if it's right, it's right, no need to try an make something fit."

Captivated Audience
 - The mother of one woman also came through who loved to bake breads. Barb said she kept smelling baked breads. The mother's spirit insisted that her daughter (who was in the audience) needs to address the circulatory issues she is having with her feet, and the daughter was astounded! The spirit mother also said that her living daughter needed to take care of herself instead of others. There was a lot of agreement from her friends in the room at that time.
  - If you want to book a session with Barb over the phone, you can!  Doesn't matter what state you live in. Barb is an amazing medium and I highly recommend contacting her. She's at www.barbmallon.com.
 - In my next blog, I'll tell you who came through to me.

My Observations on a book: After-death experience of an 11 year old boy

There's a book out now about a young boy's after death experience.
Before I even venture to read it, I already have some reservations about it.

According to USA TODAY:  Colton Burpo, an 11 year old is famous for being the boy who had a near-death experience when he was 4 years old during emergency surgery for a burst appendix. Doctors offered little hope he would survive. Not only did he live, he says he went to heaven during the operation, met Jesus, John the Baptist, his great-grandfather and a sister he didn't even know he had (she was miscarried before he was born), then came back to tell his folks about the trip. A book about Colton's journey is called Heaven Is for Real: A Little Boy's Astounding Story of His Trip to Heaven and Back.

HERE'S WHAT I DON'T QUESTION:
* I absolutely DO believe that this boy died and came back.
*I absolutely DO believe that he had an out of body experience and met is great-grandfather and sister, and even Jesus.
 * I absolutely DO believe the boy's experience about Heaven being "filled with bright colors and lots of rainbows."
HERE'S WHERE THE DOUBTS COME IN:
USA TODAY SAYS, it was written by Colton's father, the Rev. Todd Burpo, who has a small evangelical congregation in Imperial, Neb. It was co-written by Lynn Vincent, who collaborated with Sarah Palin on the her book, Going Rogue.

Having someone write the book that is SO immersed in religion and so biased with conservative religious views makes whatever else is in the book a lot less believable. I've seen this before with a Mormon who had an after-death experience and I stopped reading that book half-way through because it became a Marketing piece and promotion for joining the Mormon Church.
- People who write books with a religious agenda are doing so for their own benefit. This boy's father is a reverend of a church. It seems that they're exploiting their son's after-death experience to promote their own religious beliefs.
- Many people have after-death experiences. When we die our energies leave our body and we have the ability to see those who passed before us. Family members are always there when we die. Yes, people may also see Jesus, God or another religious figure because they likely call to them as they're passing. Most of the time, they see their relatives who tell them it's not their time.
- Just a caution to people who start to read books about after-death experiences: If you find that any of them start pushing or promoting one religion, stop reading it. There's an agenda. If you want to read a great book where the woman who died came to a better understanding of the afterlife, pick up Betty Eadie's "Embraced by the Light."
