Signs from a Dog Spirit Named Sahara: Part 2: Game Playing

 Last week I wrote about an email I received from Deborah, whose dog named Sahara passed and keeps sending her coins to let her know that Sahara is still around her. This week, Deborah shared another way that Sahara communicated- by playing a game she loved to play when in the physical plane.

Rob,   I remembered a couple of things I wanted to share with you: First, Sahara and I used to play "Find it" where I would toss or hide cookies and she would find them - I think that she does this with the coins for me! I think that is why they come in multiples. She didn't really carry a lot of things in her mouth at once, but she would scout around for lots of cookies.
    When I found the five dimes, there was a tennis ball on top of the first one which I instantly saw and went over to it thinking of Sahara (her favorite toy.) The tennis ball was upstairs on a dining patio where she used to like to sniff for obvious reasons. When I went to pick it up, there was a dime beneath it and then I discovered the others one by one which were all under chairs belonging to the same table and within a few feet of the tennis ball.
    By the way, I have found a penny each day since I wrote (4 days), but only one of those days was in the parking spot and I found two pennies that day! ;)

Amazing Time at the Richmond Pet Expo!

Had an amazing time at the Richmond Pet Expo yesterday! Thanks to Karin Bakken and Ann of DC Weimaraner rescue! 
   My talk went very well about my book "Pets and the Afterlife" and I touched a lot of pet parent hearts (Despite dealing with asthma and recovering from sinus surgery!). 
   So many people recognized signs from their pets, it was amazing. There were a lot of hugs, happy tears and acknowledgements.

Signs from a Dog Spirit Named Sahara PART 1: Coins

   I just released my new book called Pets and the Afterlife, and I've been receiving some great questions about how pets communicate.     
   One email was from Deborah who asked about how her dog Sahara could make coins appear before her. Deborah also was kind enough  to provide me with photos of her dog Sahara, and a very, very moving video (below).

DEBORAH WROTE: Question: Can you tell me how she can do this?
  My dog (who was my soulmate) recently passed in January, 2013. In this one particular parking spot where we used to park to go for a walk, I find coins. It started one day as I was thinking about Sahara and how when we parked, I would open the back, etc.... I looked down and there was a dime. That was last June. Since then, I have found about 15 or so coins at different times (mostly pennies and dimes) in the same exact parking spot (I've also found about 30 other coins in other places plus 24 pennies at one time - not when I was looking). I will often find a cluster of coins: once I found 5 dimes and I have found a few pennies with a nickle and dime and also I sat one day, picked up a stick and dug up a quarter.

   I notice that I find the parking spot coins 'on demand' sometimes - I want to connect and I'll ask her to please send me a coin. I will kick over leaves and stand around for about 5 minutes. Suddenly, I will notice a coin, either I turn around and it is on the curb or I look around and it just appears. The most I have gone without seeing a coin in the parking spot was 2 months. The coins are usually in alignment with where I would sit in the car; in other words, not willy nilly, but I can count on them being on the left side of the spot and about 1 foot from the line. I have found 3 coins (dime/nickel/penny) in the same exact spot on 3 consecutive days. The third day, I went back again because I couldn't believe what was happening and asked Sahara if it was really her - After a few minutes, I spotted a dime behind me, sitting on top of the leaves.
   Rob, I know it is her; I am closer to her than to anyone else in my whole life, but ...My question: Can you tell me how she can do this? Does it take a lot of energy?


MY RESPONSE: What a great story of communication!  Yes, those coins are signs from Sahara (sorry about your loss).  Dogs, like humans have the ability to move things from place to place (that's an "apport") using energy.
  - There are a lot of energies that can empower them do that. Spirits use the emotional energy of love that we share with them in addition to physical energies like light, heat, movement and water energy. It takes some effort for a spirit to do that, but I get the sense that Sahara is VERY attached to you, and liked carrying multiple things/toys/etc. in her mouth sometimes, which is why you may get five coins at a time. Of course, she also wants to be noticed. She's saying "I'm still here with you, mom!"
-  Obviously Sahara knew you had coins when she was in physical form ... so because they're the smallest, lightest (and likely most shiny -which dogs love) object she remembers you having, she chooses to send them to you.  The proof that you asked her to send you one and then found one after is all you need!  So,please  acknowledge that Sahara is there everytime you find a coin. She's tagging along with you, and maybe even riding in the front seat!

  DEBORAH REPLIED:   I want every guardian to know that they ARE here with us after we physically say goodbye. It's so important that people be reassured so they can feel uplifted and begin to communicate with their pets in their own way.  Thank you many times!

This tripawd lived on another five whole years to a ripe old age of 13 (and a half) due to her courage and spirit. My Amazing Reunion with the Bean Town Medium!

On April 10 I took the day off from work to welcome our friend and medium, Ruthie Larkin to the Mid-Atlantic. She  came to visit 4 families, each of whom lost a teenager in a car accident one year ago in eastern Maryland. I joined Ruthie and met the families, where I provided a background on how mediumship works, and how spirits send signs and messages.

RUTHIE'S IMMEDIATE CONNECTIONS - Ruthie really is amazing. She told me on the way over that someone's mother died in the last year or two (one of the teenage boys' grandmothers)  and that one of the boys is with her. She gave other details, too. Once in the house, she walked up to a young woman and asked if she was a sister. She nodded "yes." Ruthie said that her brother's spirit told her that she got a tattoo in her honor (the girl was wearing long sleeves and didn't have any visible tattoos). She rolled up her sleeve and showed Ruthie a big tattoo in her brother's memory.Ruthie stayed the rest of the day and met with each family member and provided a lot more amazing signs and confirmations!

A persistent Robin visits

  During Ruthie's opening, I got some messages that were confirmed.One was about robins, one was about airplanes.

ROBINS - MORE THAN A SIGN OF SPRING -  Two of the teenage boys' spirits told that their parents were sent Robins who lingered around them for days. That was a sign from them that they're both still around they're families.  
   NOTE: Spirits will send birds, insects or small animals to people to let them know they're around. It's just not a matter of a bird coming, but lingering and returning over and over, which is what happened here. 
  While I was giving my introduction, I mentioned this and two different parents acknowledged they each had a Robin around them. One father said that a Robin has been returning to his window over and over. Another father and mother said that a Robin has been around their lawn - the same one, over and over in a certain spot (not in a tree).

AIRPLANES - One of the teenage boys also showed me visions of planes flying overhead and coming in for a landing. He "told" me that he loved watching planes and was fascinated by them. I clearly saw the underside of a  plane landing. He told me to tell his parents "whenever a plane flies overhead, I'm standing with you." His dad disappeared for a minute and returned with a photo of he and his son in front of a Navy fighter jet and told me his son loved airplanes.
   - It's simple messages that help identify a spirit and let others know that they're around.
