The following is an email I received from a family who visited Gettysburg National Park, site of one of the bloodiest battles of the Civil War. Gettysburg is a known haunted location. Many of the soldiers that were slain on that battlefield never left. There are intelligent haunts (ghosts that can interact with people and actually answer questions) and residual haunts (emotional energies that were so strong- like going into battle) that just appear and repeat over and over again. Here is the letter I received from a woman named Carol, along with her photos.
The photos were reprinted with permission.
Here's the description of Carol's experiences in Gettysburg that generated these photos:

Many people who work in hospitals or nursing homes have reported paranormal experiences. The following was sent to me from a nurse.
Every
nursing school sends their newbies to local nursing homes first to
practice caring for real people and to see how tough their new group is. While doing my RN clinicals at the local nursing home I was helping an
older gentleman go about bathing and
eating etc... I was making his bed and he was sitting in a chair and
he kept looking over the the other side of the bed where there was an
empty chair. We had been making polite chit chat for several minutes
when I finally had to ask: "Is there something over there that you'd
like me to get for you? I can't help but notice you keep looking over
there." In a very normal, matter of fact tone of voice he replied: "No,
thank you. It's just that my wife is sitting over there." I looked at
the empty chair, looked at him, looked again at the empty chair and
said: "Oh. I'm sorry, but I can't see her." I told myself that I
believed in life after death and spirit visitation - but I also told
myself that I had no idea what kind of meds this guy was on(some can be
hallucinogenic). So, I asked: "How long has your wife been passed
away?" He replied that it had been many years, he couldn't remember.
He also stated that she comes to "visit him" often. We then started
chatting about something else. When I was done getting him ready for
the day I told him it was nice to meet him and that I'd be going now.
He replied likewise and said: "My wife says thank you for taking care of
me today." This story is not surprising to me as there are a many Earth-bound ghosts or spirits (who come back and visit) in hospitals or nursing homes. As I explained in Dec. 2013, when my mother was failing in the hospital after a massive stroke, I sensed my dad's spirit in the room, and he was holding the spirit of our family poodle, Gigi. Both were there to take my mom to the other side. My mother passed early the next morning. If you have worked in a nursing home or hospital and have had a paranormal experience that you'd like to share, please feel free to send it to me at Rgutro@gmail.com. I'll be happy to post it, and may include it in my next "Ghosts and Spirtis 2" Book (slated for 2017). Thanks, Rob

Yesterday, in the U.S., the physical world finally caught up with the spiritual world. Love won. Love is the only emotion that really matters in this life and the next life. Yesterday, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that gay marriage is the law of the land
for all 50 U.S. States and U.S. Territories. Finally, the U.S joins so many other progressive countries who understand that all people are created equal and deserve the same legal protections, rights and security. Before today, gay people who were married in one state could not visit their dying spouse in a hospital in another state. One friend of ours could not even claim his husband's body and had to call in an estranged relative not seen in 20 years. How horrible. That's all changed now.
Places around the U.S. lit in rainbow colors to celebrate equality on 6-26-15
As a medium, I can tell you that that just as people in SPIRIT are all equal, so should all people be equal in the physical world. For those who don't believe in equal treatment of others, no matter what their race, color, creed, non-religion, class, sexuality, social status, etc. you will understand that once your physical life is over and you transition to ghost or spirit, you will realize that we are, in fact, all the same. If you
have dislike in your heart for gay people, then get to know a gay person
and show them patience, understanding and love. Gay people don't hate
all straight people, so straight people should not hate all gay people.
If you think that being gay is a choice, try to remember when you decided to be
straight. You didn't- and neither did they. We all deserve the same opportunities, rights and protections in this life as we get in the next life. If you don't understand that now and you think you are better than others and deserve more than others, you may learn it the hard way in the afterlife- being trapped on Earth as a ghost, never to see your family and friends in spirit. So, don't make that mistake. Instead, celebrate that others now have the same opportunities and protections. For in spirit, love is the only power that matters. In the physical, love should also be the only "power" that matters. So be loving, accepting and welcoming to people who are unlike you. We are all here together. Celebrate this day that people are now more equal. After all, if there is one thing that is important in life and the afterlife, it's love. Today, #LoveWins and hatred loses. It should be that way every day.
Since I wrote the book "Pets and the Afterlife" about how our pets communicate from beyond, I've been noticing a articles about pet cemeteries and ashes. Here's one from BBC News that you may find interesting. - Rob
The rising popularity of pet crematoriums and cemeteries
By Helen Soteriou and Will SmaleBusiness reporters, BBC News
When Penny Lally passes away she is going to be buried between her late husband... and her favourite horse.
The
71-year-old will join John Lally and her beloved old pony Super Sam in a
picturesque woodland spot in Cornwall, south west England.
Also already buried in the family plot are Blot the cat, Muppet the Alsatian dog, and Brian the canary.
Elsewhere in the six acres (2.4 hectares) of woods and fields, some 40 other people are also laid to rest with their pets.
The
land is owned by Ms Lally's business, Penwith Pet Crematorium, which is
one of 50 or so pet crematoriums and cemeteries across the UK.
And businesses is booming, as an ever-growing number of pet owners wish to give their animals a more formal send-off.
At
Penwith they now individually cremate an average of 200 animals per
week, double the number a decade ago. Prices range from £42 for a
hamster or guinea pig, up to £187 for a large dog.
Meanwhile, it costs £900 to bury a horse (they are too big to be cremated at Penwith), or £1,500 for a human being.
Ms Lally says: "It was my silly idea to set up the business back in 1988."
She
adds that she came up with the idea when she realised that there were
many people like her and her husband who would like give their pets a
formal cremation or burial. And that others would, like them, also
consider being ultimately buried beside their pets, or where their
beloved animals' ashes were scattered or interred.
"My husband and I were running a farm, and we were lucky enough to have the land to set up the business," says Ms Lally.
"So we set aside six acres. The business then gradually grew from there thanks to positive word of mouth and repeat business.
"Everyone
who comes here goes away and happily recommends us to other people, and
we get people who come back with their second and third pets."
'Pet parents'
Far
from being just a British phenomenon, the industry of pet cremation and
burial, or "pet loss" as it is known, is now a very big business
globally.
According to US-based trade body Pet Loss Professionals
Alliance (PLPA), the average annual turnover of its members around the
world in 2013 was $860,464 (£556,000).
And that year its members in the US alone cremated 1.46 million pets.
Coleen Ellis, co-chair of the PLPA, opened the first stand-alone pet funeral home in the US.
Today,
she owns and runs an organisation called Two Hearts Pet Loss, which
educates veterinary professionals and pet loss businesses about how best
to meet the needs of people whose pets nearing the end of their lives.
Based
in Indianapolis, Indiana, Ms Ellis, who is also the author of a book on
the subject, says it is important to remember that there are two types
people who have pets - "pet owners" and "pet parents".
She adds: "My services are
geared towards the pet parent, the person who saw their little furry
animal as a member of the family.
"I wanted to give people
'permission' to do what they wanted to do to honour their pet, and to
honour the life they shared together. Readers remember their departed pets
"We
are giving them permission to do more, and possibly in an area where
they may be felt like they were going to be shamed, or made fun of,
because a lot of people may be looking at them and saying 'it was just a
dog', or 'it was just a cat, why do you want to do that, that's
crazy?'."
'Final goodbyes'
Vivianne
Dhupa and her husband Sarit Dhupa decided to go into the pet loss
industry after a traumatic experience following the death of their then
17-year-old cat in 2004.
Their cat died on route to their vets in
San Diego, California, and the couple did not want to take its ashes
back from the surgery.
A few months later Ms Dhupa
went back to ask where the ashes had been scattered, only to be told
that the cat had been taken to an animal rendering plant, because the
couple hadn't specifically requested cremation.
"Needless to say, I was angry and devastated," says the 42-year-old.
To
prevent other pet owners going through a similar experience, the couple
set up their own pet crematorium - Peaceful Paws Pet Crematorium. This
now cremates 20,000 pets per year, and customers can choose from a range
of specially designed pet urns.
However, Ms Dhupa and her husband
went one stage further, and also opened a hospice centre for dying
pets, the Into The Sunset Pet Transition Centre.
Ms Dhupa says:
"While our primary goal is to ensure our patients are pain-free and
maintaining an acceptable quality of life, we focus a great deal on
supporting the family emotionally.
"We do not prolong life or hasten death. Our primary goal is quality of life until the family is ready for their final goodbye."
Back
in the UK, Carole Mundy, 61, has purchased burial plots at Penwith Pet
Crematorium for her herself and her husband, and all of their cats and
dogs. Plus three separate areas for her rescued horses. She says it has
cost her thousands of pounds.
"I wanted to find a resting place where I can be buried with all of my animals," she says.
"They give me unconditional and devoted love, so why would I not want to be buried with them."
Here's a video blog from my friend "Bear" Elliot" - giving a "Ghost hunting 101" after seeing the film "Poltergiest" Bear said: I recently had the displeasure of seeing the remake of the classic film
Poltergeist and it really had an impact on my thoughts about Hollywood
and Paranormal Investigating. After 20 year of being a Paranormal
Investigator aka Ghost Hunter, I have learned a lot on how to make a
investigation safe. There were many examples of what NOT to do while
investigating a possible haunted location in Poltergeist and I felt the
need to address them. If you would like to hear more about my adventures
with the Paranormal, please Like, Comment and Subscribe to my YouTube
channel. Happy Hunting!
NOTE: A poltergeist is actually not a ghost. It's activity that
mimics that of a ghost, but is caused by the emotionally disturbed
energy generated by a teenage girl. We've encountered 2 incidents of
that very thing and once the teenage girl got counseling or moved out,
the activity stopped. **Enjoy the vlog! -Rob VIDEO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2RHFW5tD0bE#t=169
For those who know me, I've been able to get signs and messages from
people who passed away- and either remain
Earth-bound (as a ghost) or
cross over into the light (as a spirit). Usually they give us signs
around birthdays, anniversaries and holidays. (You just need to look for
them).
Well, my mom was no exception. She gave me several
signs she's around - and this is the week of her birthday and what
would've been her and my dad's 60th wedding anniversary.
Spirits can come in many ways, like through dreams or music. My mom came through in both ways.
My mom in 1955
A VIVID DREAM / VISIT -
This morning, I awoke from a dream of walking into a brightly lit room
that had huge windows with the sun poring through, and my mom was
sitting down with our (late) poodle, Gigi, who was her favorite dog in
the world. My mom appeared as she did when she was in her late 20s/early
30s! She was young and vibrant, and smiling. (She looked like she did in the picture here)
She was sitting on a large white couch or bed and Gigi, her poodle was
curled up with her. She was very happy and content. The next thing I
noticed was that a Weimaraner was walking next to me- and I think it was
Buzz, my weimaraner who passed in 2005. It was all so very real. That's
the difference between a visit and a dream. This was definitely a visit
and I got to see mom, Gigi and Buzz. How cool.
MUSICAL SIGNS - While
I was teleworking later in the day, I was listening to WSM-AM 650
on-line. That's a radio station out of Nashville that plays classic
country. Well, there were two songs in a row that my mother included in
her favorites: 1) Dolly Parton's "Here You Come Again"
(that brought back memories from the 1970s of Mom and I sitting down
facing each other, slapping each other's knees and singing the song) 2) Glen Campbell and Steve Wariner's "Hand that Rocks the Cradle (Hall of Fame for Mamas)" song came on second. Mom loved that song and said she agreed that there should be a hall of fame for mothers!
Here's the video of the song: https://youtu.be/g6MGou_HzbM
