Author
Revises "Answer Guide to the Paranormal" Book
WASHINGTON
-- Author and paranormal investigator Rob Gutro has updated, revised and added
6 new chapters to his second book "Lessons Learned from Talking to the
Dead: An Answer Guide to the Paranormal."
The book sports a new cover that contains the haunting face of a female
ghost encountered during an investigation.
"I
wrote this as an answer guide to all questions about the paranormal," Rob said.
"Every chapter contains experiences that address questions such as what
happens to suicide and murder victims and so much more." Readers will experience
a "Spirit Treasure Hunt" of messages that prove a spirit was with all
the members of his family and prove he didn't commit suicide. They'll meet the
ghost of John Wilkes Booth and see photo proof of a ghostly face from a
"Double Murder Ghost Investigation."
"Lessons"
was originally published in 2012. The 2016 version includes six new chapters
and all other chapters enhanced and the book reformatted. New chapters address
a Double Murder Ghost Investigation; Angels, Demons and Dark Entities; 3 Ghosts
of Christmas Past and John Wilkes Booth's Ghost, Baltimore's Haunted Book
Escape, A Band of Spirits; and Spirits all in the Family.
Readers
will learn the difference between a ghost and a spirit. Learn lessons spirits
want us to know to live better on Earth. Experience cemeteries, battlefields, historic
places, spirits of suicide, murder victims, angels and demons, poltergeists,
ashes, slow death experiences, how to protect yourself, reincarnation and how
infants and animals pass messages to the living. You'll even explore many
haunted locations around the U.S. and beyond.
The
author is a medium, paranormal investigator, scientist and dog dad. He provides
proof that people and pets do communicate with us from the other side, whether
as an Earth-bound ghost or spirit. He is a medium with Inspired Ghost Tracking
of Md. He sketches out what ghosts look like who are haunting private homes and
has received many confirmation from homeowners. He also volunteers with
Dachshund and Weimaraner rescues.
Earlier
in 2016 he published his fourth book, "Pets and the Afterlife 2," a
follow up to Amazon's best-selling "Pets and the Afterlife," where readers
will learn how dogs and cats have the intelligence and ability to send signs to
the living after they pass. In August, he republished an updated and
reformatted version of his first book called "Ghosts and Spirits." The
author's four books have all reached best-seller status in Amazon.com's

Interesting Book: Encounters with the Paranormal 2 by Mike Ricksecker (I have a story in it)
Recently I finished reading a short and interesting collection of true stories of paranormal encounters called
"Encounters with the Paranormal 2" by Mike Ricksecker (and guest authors).
Mike asked me to contribute a story in it, so I did. It's called "Pets in Spirit - Communicating with the Living."
I also have a story in his first volume of "Encounters of the Paranormal" - and my story is called "The Dismembered Ghost Made Whole."
- Mike is a friend who has written several books. He's also a "Ghostorian" and paranormal investigator. When he was putting this book together he contacted people he knows to see if they would like to submit a story for the collection. The book contains stories from quite a number of people, and ALL of them have had encounters with Earth-bound ghosts. Each story is short and all are fascinating.
I highly recommend these collections of stories! They are both full of interesting personal encounters with ghosts. On Kindle you can find this collection for just $4.99.

Mikes other books include: Ghosts and Legends of Oklahoma, Ghosts of Maryland, Campfire Tales: Midwest, The Inscription of Evil Times (Ghostorian Case Files Book 1), and Mysteries of the Church of Darkness (Ghostorian Case Files Book 2)and two detective novels: Deadly Heirs (Chase Michael DeBarlo Mystery) (Volume 1), System of the Dead,

The Paranormal: It's all about Energy
Energy is the foundation of the afterlife. In all the talks I give, I explain that the afterlife really has nothing to do with whatever religion you are or are not. It's about Energy.
As I also explain in my 4 books, every living thing has physical energies running through their bodies. Think of blood pumping, or the little electrical impulses that happen in our brains when we have thoughts.
How are thoughts measured?

A Memorable and Humorous Obitiuary & Tombstone Ad
We all maintain our personalities after we pass, and one man's family wanted to ensure that people knew their loved one had a great sense of humor when they wrote his obituary.
This story about a New Orleans, Louisiana fireman who passed, appeared in an Australian newspaper! Read the very creative and memorable obit, and think about any loved ones that pass - and how you can make their obit reflect their personality. -
Also included here is a sale notice of a tombstone that apparently had an error in it. Pretty funny text. -

Rob
This
man’s obituary might be the funniest thing you read all day
This article originally
appeared on News.com.au.
New Orleans firefighter William Ziegler, 69, "escaped this mortal realm" on July 29. Anyone who has had to write an obituary for a loved one knows how challenging it can be. Trying to capture someone’s essence and the way you felt about them in a handful of words is a big ask.
That’s why we have to
hand it to offspring of former New Orleans firefighter William Ziegler
for penning one of the most entertaining tributes we’ve read.
And a funny tombstone ad |
Ziegler, 69, “escaped
this mortal realm” on July 29. The family jokes that, unlike previous
times, this was “not a ploy to avoid creditors or old girlfriends … he
assures us that he is gone.”
The obituary appeared
in the Times-Picayune on Friday. The publication has said the tribute “quickly went viral” and some have called
it “one of the all-time great obituaries.”
Ziegler’s daughter,
Sharah Currier, told the Times-Picayune that her dad would always pass
along strange obituaries. “He would have loved this,” she says. “He
probably would have forwarded this obituary to us.”
Here it is in its entirety:
He assures us he is gone
William Ziegler escaped this mortal realm on Friday, July 29, 2016 at the age of 69.
We think he did it on purpose to avoid having to make a decision in the pending presidential election.
He leaves behind four
children, five grandchildren, and the potted meat industry, for which he
was an unofficial spokesman until dietary restrictions forced him to
eat real food.
William volunteered for
service in the United States Navy at the ripe old age of 17 and
immediately realized he didn’t much enjoy being bossed around. He only
stuck it out for one war.
Before his discharge, however, the government exchanged numerous ribbons and medals for various honorable acts.
Upon his return to the
City of New Orleans in 1971, thinking it best to keep an eye on him,
government officials hired William as a fireman.
After twenty-five
years, he suddenly realized that running away from burning buildings
made more sense than running toward them. He promptly retired.
Looking back, William
stated that there was no better group of morons and mental patients than
those he had the privilege of serving with (except Bob, he never liked
you, Bob).
Following his wishes,
there will not be a service, but wellwishers are encouraged to write a
note of farewell on a Schaefer Light beer can and drink it in his honor.
He was never one for
sentiment or religiosity, but he wanted you to know that if he owes you a
beer, and if you can find him in Heaven, he will gladly allow you to
buy him another.
He can likely be found
forwarding tasteless internet jokes (check your spam folder, but don’t
open these at work). Expect to find an alcoholic dog named Judge passed
out at his feet. Unlike previous times, this
is not a ploy to avoid creditors or old girlfriends. He assures us that
he is gone. He will be greatly missed.

A Teeshirt Sign from Our Dog Sprite's Spirit!
My favorite photo of Sprite |
simple sign of a tee shirt.
Sprite was our Dachshund who passed in July 2013 at the age of 16 1/2 years old. A couple of months after he passed I had 2 tee shirts made with our favorite photo of him and the dates of his time on Earth. I have about 100 tee shirts (too many, I know, but they have my favorite things on them like dogs, superheroes and coffee). I rotate the shirts after I wear them and launder them, so they go on the bottom of each stack (there are 4 stacks). That way wear them equally. - I know, it's OCD, but it's also sensible in terms of wearing them out.
Today as I reached for the "dog" pile of tee shirts, the Sprite tee shirt (and ONLY Sprite tee shirt) was on the top. That was NO coincidence. Today is the anniversary of the date that we picked up Sprite as a foster dog in Frederick, Maryland in 2012.
So, our pets, like people, acknowledge anniversaries.
Sprite was letting us know that he's still here.
When it comes to spirits, there are no such things as coincidences.

Soul 101: What is a Soul? Animals, people
One of the questions I get asked often is whether animals have souls. Of course they do. All living things have souls.
Consider this a lesson in "SOUL 101" ."
WHAT IS A SOUL? In many societies (and religions) it is the immortal essence of a living thing. A soul is actually the energy in EVERY living thing that combines memories and personalities and knowledge.
DO ANIMALS HAVE SOULS? Of course. Every living thing has a soul. To think otherwise is crazy. To think something could live and function without knowledge, memories or personalities is foolish. Living things are not mindless zombies.
Animals
(and dinosaurs) lived and died on Earth long before humans ever showed
up. They survived because they had intelligence, instinct, emotions,
memories, and their own personalities. After all, what makes one animal a
pack leader and not all of them? Why are some animals shy? easily
frightened? bold? challenging? That's personality. They all have it,
just as humans do.
WHO QUESTIONS IT AND WHERE DID THE CRAZY IDEA COME FROM? According to most of the Abrahamic religions, only human beings have immortal souls. Evangelical-Biblical Literalist, Baptists and Church of Christ churches believe animals have no soul.
Recently, the catholic faith even proclaimed that "Animals and plants" have souls - but they put a "limit" on their statement thinking pets don't have conceptual intelligence, which I assure you, THEY DO.
Why the Catholic faith (the one I grew up in and out of) thinks anything but people can be spirit is non-sensical. A spirit is a spirit. Period. That's like thinking because you have a college degree you'll be a spirit, but your neighbor who didn't go to college isn't smart enough to be a spirit in the afterlife. Do you see why it is a ridiculous argument?
I'm unsure where that belief came from but as you can see from the logic above, it's absolutely untrue. Any living thing that can figure out how to survive, from a bird to an ant to wild boar has a soul. They have intelligence and a soul. Only ZOMBIES are soul-less. :)
DOES ANY MAN-MADE RELIGION BELIEVE ANIMALS HAVE SOULS? Yes. Sikhism, Hinduism, Orthodox, Mormonism believe (and understand that animals have souls. Islam and Judaism have conflicting beliefs- some sects believe it, others do not.
BOTTOM LINE: For anyone who loses a pet and says "Animals don't have souls" please assure them they do, and they will be with us in paradise/other side/heaven/Valhalla, whatever you want to call it where all of the energies reside after the physical life is over. To think that any living thing doesn't have a soul is truly ridiculous. Animals have lived eons before mankind ever walked the Earth and they would never have survived if they couldn't think, feel and learn.
