A Comforting Note from a Former Skeptic of Pet Afterlife Communications

When I give readings from pets on the other side, they will often tell me things that are common for many pets. But it's usually the one or two unique things that will make someone realized that I really am communicating with their dog, cat, horse or bird. In February I provided a reading for JC about his dog Winnie. JC was so taken with the reading that he called into the Youtube paranormal show "Paranormal Soup" in February, and conveyed the reading and his story. He was so thoughtful to also write it down so I could share it with you. Here's JC's story in his own words:

I started out very skeptical of the idea of mediums in general and a pet medium really stretched my imagination. But I was having problems with my grief so I found Rob online and decided that perhaps his Pets and the Afterlife books might bring some comfort. After reading two of them, I thought my missing my dog was not abating so I would try having a reading. The results were startling.

Rob’s revelations are in italics and my follow-up is in standard text.

 January 3, 2021

Hi Chris- Thank you for the email and the beautiful photo of Winnie.

Being a bit skeptical I provided Rob with a close-cropped photo of Winnie. If he was doing cold readings he would not get much off of the photo. Given this, his skills were amazing.

 Win is okay now.

She tells me that for the last 5 months there were some challenges. She is showing me the number 5 specifically and says it has other relevance.  That number may also be tied to a birthday, anniversary (like adoption, passing, or something else), time or date.

The number 5 may also signify that number of siblings in her litter when she was born. (that's the first time that's ever come to me).  Is there something related to you or her that includes the number 5?

   - In addition, know that whenever you see the number 5, she will be around in spirit. That number, for whatever reason, is her sign to you to convey her presence. She's really adamant about that number.

I am still thinking about this and trying to figure out the significance. As Rob wrote in one of his books the significance may take months or longer to be revealed. At this point, I was not convinced in his ability, but that’s ok I am getting comfort from his response.

      - Spirits will often make me feel things that they felt sometime before they passed. When I connected with her she made me feel as if there were something in her throat that she was trying to spit up, it felt like there was some kind of congestion there. Was she throwing up at all? I"m also seeing a medication, like a tablet being given to her (she didn't like the taste but appreciated you trying to mask it). She's regained her health in spirit. She doesn't have the physical issues now as a spirit (spirits are energy combined with memories, personality and knowledge) and she is very much okay.

Winnie had congestion issues most of her life but looking at the photo a dog with a large snout is likely to have congestion. Like a good pet parent, I tried to mask the taste of her pills with cheese or pill pockets. Nice that Rob has picked up on this, I am somewhat less skeptical now. Side note: I know her pills tasted bad because I have accidentally taken them. I did ask the vet and no there would not be long term effects from my consumption of the pet pills.

She's fixating on a ball. I assume she had a ball or balls to chase (more so when she was younger). She's showing me that's something that she enjoyed. It seems to be yellow or orange.

Like many dogs, Winnie loved to chase balls but she especially enjoyed basketballs and larger since she could body surf over them. That was one of her favorite actions. I am growing more convinced in Rob’s ability at this point.

Win is telling me there is a woman on the other side named Elizabeth or Liz. (I keep seeing a friend of mine with that name- that's how spirits convey things).  She's wearing a dress of what looks like a Scottish pattern (I'm guessing that would be a plaid kind of pattern). Win doesn't know what it's called, but is showing that pattern to me. That person is connected to you. That person was also there bringing Winnie into the light.

In 2019 my wife, Leslie, was a University development officer and she visited with an older alum by the name of Elizabeth. Leslie greatly enjoyed her visit with Elizabeth and stayed in touch. Leslie left the job in March 2020. During our drive to the pet hospital, Leslie got a call from Elizabeth's niece saying Liz had died and wanted to let Leslie know. This was despite my wife having changed jobs, and Leslie welcomed knowing it since she really bonded with Elizabeth. When Leslie showed me the selfie she had with Liz, Liz was wearing a tartan wrap. I had not seen the photo until after Rob’s reading and there was no way Rob would have ever seen that photo.  Doubt has been removed from my mind in terms of Rob’s ability.

She is conveying to me that she was a "gentle giant." It's difficult for me to ascertain how large she was, but perhaps she felt giant! She's also forever grateful for the care and love she had in your family. She doesn't want you to feel sad. The physical emptiness may be there, but her spirit is very much around. (Having lost 2 dogs myself in 2020, I can tell you I feel them around, too, as Win is around yours).

Rob also picked up on the fact she felt giant. That was true, for most of her life she would duck down when we crossed under an overpass or overhead signs like she feared she would hit her head. In her mind and in my world, Win was bigger than life. Again, no way to tell size based on the photo provided and no way to realize she felt giant.

Thank you for the solace you have provided.
