If your dad has passed, as mine did in 2008, then you need to know he's around you today in spirit. Dad's in spirit remember that this is one of the special days where we honored the things our dads did for us as we grew up.
My dad inspired me to read by buying me comic books. They also inspired me to draw, and create stories. Today I use all of those abilities, and I think of my dad whenever I do. So if you learned something from your dad and find yourself doing it today, know that he is very much around you, and he's smiling at you, feeling proud.
The hardest thing about father's day is not having our dads physically here, but they all want you to remember that they are very, very much still a part of your life.
