Part 4: Another Experience from the Public Paranormal Belmont Manor Investigation

On July 21, I helped lead an Inspired Ghost Tracking Group Paranormal Investigation at the Belmont Manor in Elkridge, Maryland. There were about 40 people participating and
Several people had their own experiences, and one of our own ran into a new ghost (see previous blog) and in this instance the Spirit of someone's relative showed up, too!.

4)  A Visitor's Grandma Appears! A woman from the group stayed behind and asked me a question in the upstairs bridal suite room. She said that when she first walked near the doorway to the room, she smelled something that reminded her of her grandmother's house then the smell disappeared.  She couldn't understand what it was. I told her that her grandmother is here.
Ronda and Rob of IGT
We walked back toward the area and her eyes lit up and she said she smelled it again. She asked why her grandma would come to her at the Belmont and I told her that grandma knew that since her grand-daughter was going on a paranormal investigation, she would be more receptive to getting a sign from a spirit. Her grandma's spirit told me that she was indeed around her grand-daughter often and protecting and guiding her. It was such a comfort to the grand-daughter and a confirmation to her, because she sensed her grandmother was watching over her.

Photos from Talk: Ghosts of Causey Mansion

Tom explains the geography of the mansion
On Aug. 4, Rob and Tom from Inspired Ghost Tracking gave a talk called "Explore the Ghosts of Causey Mansion" at Inspired Ghost Tracking Meeting. Harry L Cooper VFW Post 160, 2597 Dorsey Road Glen Burnie, MD
They talked about their private investigation of this historic Delaware mansion turned really amazing Bed and Breakfast. They were specifically requested to do the investigation to determine who the friendly entities were that resided there.
Rob and Tom provided an overview of the history and the previous owners of the property. In fact, 2 of Delaware's governors owned the mansion and lived there!
As a result of their investigation, they were able to confirm two friendly ghosts that live there. Rob sketches ghosts that he sees. After the investigation, they were shown an old photo from the late 1800s early 1900s of a group of people that played tennis on the property and Rob's sketches looked just like 2 of the people who appeared in the photo. The ghosts are friendly and just enjoyed the property then as they do today from the afterlife.
Margaret Ehrlich manager of Inspired Ghost Tracking does introductions
The mansion is an active bed and breakfast and not a place for paranormal seekers, but it's a great place to stay and enjoy the gardens, the historic house, the music (played on the piano by one of the owners), and wonderful breakfasts!

Part 3: Another Experience from the Public Paranormal Belmont Manor Investigation

On July 21, I helped lead an Inspired Ghost Tracking Group Paranormal Investigation at the Belmont Manor in Elkridge, Maryland. There were about 40 people participating and
Several people had their own experiences, and one of our own ran into a new ghost. Read about that experience in this blog:

3) Troy Crossed Over a Ghost Near the Cemetery - Troy, one of the mediums on the Inspired Ghost Tracking Group got a surprise when he took ghosts out to the cemetery. He ran into the ghost of an African American farmer named Abe who was still working the land and seeking his family.

Troy and Rob
People from Troy's group had a "K2" meter, which measures electromagnetic fields, and basically detects ghosts (or spirits) because ghosts (or spirits) are beings of energy. When Troy sensed Abe, one woman's K2 meter reading spiked! As Troy continued to talk to Abe's ghost the K2 meter continued reading the higher than normal magnetic field.
Troy learned that Abe wanted to rejoin his wife and child and Troy realized they were all on the other side (had crossed over and became spirits). So, Troy opened a portal to the other side, and invited Abe's wife and child to beckon Abe. They did. As soon as Abe crossed over, the woman's K2 meter reading disappeared!  She asked why, and Troy said "because the ghost has crossed over."

Figuring Out a Spooky Belmont Manor Photo and Paredolia

First image - no eyes
Earlier in the year during one of the public ghost investigations at the Belmont Manor in Elkridge, Maryland one of the public ghost hunters took two photos in the woods when she sensed something. The first photo showed nothing but blackness among the trees. The second photo had what appeared to be red eyes looking at her. The photos are below. What do you think?

WHAT IS PAREDOLIA? Pareidolia (/pærᵻˈdoʊliə/ parr-i-DOH-lee-ə) is a psychological phenomenon in which the mind responds to a stimulus (an image or a sound) by perceiving a familiar pattern where none exists. It's like seeing a face in a cloud.
Do you see the red eyes on the right side?

FIGURING OUT THE PHOTOS - I'm not saying the photos are paredolia, however, One of the Inspired Ghost Tracking investigators suggested that the red lights could be a car's tail lights, or some kind of beacon n the other side of the woods. There are a number of things it could be, however, the photographer claimed she heard no car, and there's really not a road near the cemetery of the Belmont Manor, because it lies in the back of the property. Further, there are also no radio towers, and usually any lights are not that close. So, it could be paranormal...

Recap and Photos: Medium Ruthie Larkin's Event at Inspired Ghost Tracking

Ruthie giving  a reading from spirit
Medium Ruthie Larkin, known as the "Bean Town Medium" had a group reading event at Inspired Ghost Tracking on April 7, 2017 near the Baltimore-Washington International (BWI) Airport in Maryland. The event drew over 150 people and Ruthie did many readings during the evening.
Some of the detail she conveyed was amazing. The room was packed and everyone was thinking of their loved ones, hoping the spirits (people who passed and crossed over) would come through with messages for them.
Inspired Ghost Tracking Members listen in
Ruthie told me "for people who died tragically or horribly" she would not mention the exact cause of their death in a public forum. She instead used terms like "died unexpectedly," or "died tragically." The spirit of one young woman came through and told Ruthie that she was murdered and her friend (in the room) witnessed the horrible event. So Ruthie wouldn't disclose that information to the room filled with people. She said it's more of a personal thing. She does disclose that kind of information in private readings. Two other spirits died in a plane crash, but she instead said "died tragically."

The room was filled
By "filtering" the way of death, it doesn't prompt people in public reading events to later ask the person (being read) questions and make them uncomfortable.
RUTHIE IN BOOKS:
Ruthie was ranked one of the Top 100 Psychics in America in a book of the same name (2016).
She has a chapter in Rob Gutro's "Pets and the Afterlife" about the many signs from her dog Boston after she passed.
Ruthie is also featured in Rob Gutro's book "Lessons Learned from Talking to the Dead" when they went to Ford's Theatre and got a double confirmation of John Wilkes Booth's ghost!

TO SCHEDULE A PRIVATE READING:
If you didn't get a reading from Ruthie she does phone readings and you can schedule and pay for one on her website at www.beantownmedium.com.She lives in southern Massachusetts, so you can also see her in person in her office and have a reading with her.

COMING UP:
Ruthie also does other large events and has a Mediumship / Energy weekend planned for October 2017. Watch her website or this blog for details.

Amazing Talk- Breakthrough Ghost Photography by Tim Scullion

Photography, author, musician, Tim Scullion Talking to IGT
On Friday, March 4th, Inspired Ghost Tracking (IGT) of Maryland hosted Tim Scullion as a guest speaker. Tim is a ghost photographer, a musician, an author and former teacher. He came to the IGT group to talk about his new full-color book of amazing photos of ghosts who haunt Williamsburg, Virginia. The photos were incredible.
I realized that ghosts make themselves known to Tim so he can make people aware of them. They want help crossing over, and by enabling Tim to photograph them and identify their locations, others can come back and cross them over. All it takes is one ghost to realize that someone can help them, and others can sense the same thing.
Tim showed quite a few photos from his book, and you will be astounded at the images of ghosts that he was able to capture. Of course, you'll also get a history lesson about Williamsburg and some of the people who lived there. To learn about the book, read on.

Haunted Historic Colonial Williamsburg Virginia: with Breakthrough Ghost Photography  by Tim Scullion
Tim's book of ghost photography
Join ghost photographer and researcher Tim Scullion on a two-year tour of Colonial Williamsburg, America’s haunted historic city of ghosts. Visit 43 creepy locations where Scullion describes his paranormal odyssey to capture and explain each apparition, a bit of historical and paranormal background of the building it appears in or over, and insights about these ghostly beings that he has learned from careful observation. With more eighteenth-century buildings and homes than any other place in America, Scullion has learned the secret to consistently capturing ghostly apparitions of all kinds on camera. Examine 230 paranormal images that are beautiful, ugly (if not horrifying!), bizarre, and defy explanation. He also provides historic accounts, ghost sightings, and narrative, insights, and introspection for each location. Colonial Williamsburg is a hotspot for ghosts!

Q&A: Can Negative People Affect Paranormal Investigations?

Join Inspired Ghost Tracking for paranomal investigations
As I've noted in my books, Earth-bound ghosts both absorb and emit negative emotional energies like
fear, anxiety, depression and anger in addition to the physical energies like heat, light, water and electricity. So, recently I saw a question about if someone is doing a paranormal investigation and someone else is a pessimist, has anger issues or is depressed, is it possible to affect the investigation. Here's the question and my response:

QUESTION: Can a negative person in a paranormal investigation give off enough negative energy to give misreadings that a ghost is present?

ANSWER: No. Negative energy can be felt from ghosts, and also from living people, but the living during an investigation don't linger in one spot long enough to leave an imprint that can be mistaken for a ghost. However, sensitive people will pick up on a living person's negative energy, but they can distinguish it from a ghost's negative energy.

Part 3: Belmont Manor Ghostly Happenings: The Portal

A portal (doorway)
This is part 3 of the recent investigation of the Belmont Manor that focuses on the room with a ghostly portal or doorway.

The Inspired Ghost Tracking group of Glen Burnie, Maryland leads public ghost investigations at the historic Belmont Manor (in Elkridge, MD) several times throughout the year through the Howard County Parks Department. The tours are $20 and the funds all go to support the mansion. The registration is through the parks department.

On the most recent investigation, Friday, July 16, there were several experiences where we talked with intelligent haunts (ghosts who answer questions).

The ball lit up with an affirmation

LIGHTING UP TO ANSWER - One of the things we use to get "Yes" or "No" answers is a ball that lights up when moved or affected by electrical activity. It's actually a cat toy, but it's easy enough for ghosts to affect it (since they're energy).

THE PORTAL - A portal is a doorway of energy that goes from one place to another. The portal is like a sideways hurricane of swirling energy. It rotates in either a clockwise or counter-clockwise direction. Sometimes in places that have ghosts portals exist. Such is the case in one room in the Belmont.

Cemetery Side of the Portal
DETECTING THE PORTAL - When you walk through the area where the portal is, some people report their legs shaking or feeling a tingling. Others get dizzy while some feel nothing. To detect the location, Amy from IGT placed 2 light-up balls on the floor. One was near the portal, the other was just away from it. The one that was in the location we identified (by different members of the IGT team) flashed every minute or two (as the portal rotated to a certain point).

WHY AND WHERE DOES THE DOOR GO? -
One of the ghosts of the home uses this portal to go back and forth to the other portal on the property. During a thorough IGT investigation, it was determined that the other portal lies in the middle of the cemetery in the backyard. So, it's our guess that one of the ghosts goes back and forth to the cemetery to visit one of his loved ones who passed before him.

What's amazing this time is that we were actually able to prove the location of the portal with the equipment, and not just sensations from a good number of people.

That concludes the findings from one group at the Belmont during the recent public investigation. If you want to participate in one of the IGT investigations of the Mansion, Call 410-313-0200 or register online:

Part 2: Belmont Manor: Ghostly Happenings: White Haired Lady

A female ghost: Woman in White
This is part 2 of the recent investigation of the Belmont Mansion. In this blog you'll read about the mysterious female ghost who has continually avoided investigators until this time!

The Inspired Ghost Tracking group of Glen Burnie, Maryland leads public ghost investigations at the historic Belmont Mansion (in Elkridge, MD) several times throughout the year through the Howard County Parks Department.

It's actually a cat toy, but it's easy enough for ghosts to affect it (since they're energy)

THE WOMAN IN WHITE FINALLY SPEAKS - Several people have reported seeing a ghostly white haired woman in a white dress. This woman has continually avoided the Inspired Ghost Tracking team during investigations. Not this time!
In one of the rooms that is usually devoid of activity, we were surprised to hear from her.
We placed the light up plastic cat toy balls on the bed. I was talking about the woman that people have seen, but the IGT team has not. I said "I don't think she likes people" and suddenly the 2 balls lit up and kept flashing!  That was a confirmation from her that she in fact, did not like people!
- So, I next asked if she wanted us to leave so she could be alone and they flashed again!
No one was anywhere near the bed and there was no movement- so we can say that we now know why we've never seen or heard from the ghostly woman - She wants to be left alone and doesn't like people!

Part 1: Belmont Mansion Ghostly Happenings: Amanda the Ghost

Ronda of IGT asking questions to the ghost in "Amanda's bedroom"
The Inspired Ghost Tracking group of Glen Burnie, Maryland leads public ghost investigations at the historic Belmont Mansion (in Elkridge, MD) several times throughout the year through the Howard County Parks Department. The tours are $20 and the funds all go to support the mansion. The registration is through the parks department.

On the most recent investigation, Friday, July 16, there were several experiences where we talked with intelligent haunts (ghosts who answer questions).

There were 21 people who signed up for the investigation. So, the Inspired Ghost Tracking teams split into two groups. One for the first floor and basement, and the other for the second floor. I covered the second floor with Ronda, Amy and Jimmy.

A GHOST NAMED AMANDA - On previous investigations we learned that there is a 6 year old girl named Amanda who died of the flu and still plays in the house. People have seen her. I got all the info about her name, age, and death on a previous investigation - as I channeled her while Ronda asked me questions (we work so well together).

Well, Ronda asked questions and Amanda answered confirming her presence. A visitor in the group asked Amanda if she knew what was pictured on her shirt (they were butterflies), and the ball lit up. Another question was asked and the ball didn't light. Then a woman asked if Amanda knew what was on her shirt (cats) and the ball lit up.  Other questions were asked and received no response.

TV TIME - At the end of the questions we were about to leave when suddenly Amanda turned on the television in the room. We were all startled as the remote was in a drawer and no one was near the television. Again, ghosts can do that because they're electrical energy. Maybe Amanda was acknowledging she was done with her visitors and wanted to watch television.
