   I was so touched by the number of people who came up and talked with me after my intro talk on how spirits communicate and give us signs. I loved talking to all the people who have or had dogs or cats and shared their stories. This night was the BEST Christmas Gift!

Bring Your Loved One's Spirit Home: A Special Holiday Tree for our (Late) Dog Sprite!

Because our 16 1/2 year old dachshund passed away this past summer we wanted to do something special to remember him this holiday season. 
   Sprite was a funny little guy, who liked to keep to himself and didn't play with toys (he came to us from the rescue just before he turned 14 and wound up have several surgeries and 22 rotted teeth removed). Sprite loved Dolly and Franklin (and was learning to deal with Tyler the terror). He loved his grandma and grandpa (Tom's parents) and stayed there on some weekends.

 So, this weekend, we bought a small counter-top-Sprite-Sized tree and decorations. My partner surprised me when he topped the tree with a butterfly. Why? Because after Sprite passed we saw yellow and black butterflies following us and our other dogs around. Even friends who read about Sprite's story were followed around or visited by yellow and black butterflies - so that's his sign.

  Every day I look at Sprite's tree this season I know he's around us. Consider doing something like this to honor someone you lost this year.

Watch for Signs from Spirits on Thanksgiving !

Holidays are a prime time to get messages from spirits of loved ones who have passed away. As I mention in my books "Ghosts and Spirits: Insights from a Medium" and "Lessons Learned from Talking to the Dead," our loved ones who passed are with us during holidays, birthdays and anniversaries.

Happy Thanksgiving- Your loved ones are with you!

  Think of it this way: During a holiday, birthday or anniversary you will usually either have friends and relatives over for dinner or call them and wish them a great day. It's no different from the other side. They want to do the same for us, because we can't pick up the phone - so they come to us!
   People who have passed and crossed over become spirits. Those who choose to stay behind on Earth are ghosts. Spirits have the ability to to come to people anywhere in the world, and even come to multiple people at the same time. Whenever the Holidays roll around, they are known to try and pass messages that they're there with the family as well.
  So, how do you look for signs from them?  
- If you turn on the radio today, Thanksgiving, and you hear their favorite Christmas song (because radio stations are already playing them) - the spirit has influenced you to turn on the radio to know they're with you.
- You may find yourself doing or saying something that your late mother,  father, sister, brother or friend would be doing, or saying. Spirits can influence us to do things and say things they used to.
- You may also see someone that resembles a late loved one if you're traveling about today.
   - Look for pennies or other coins on the ground. Check the year, too- because it has some significance. I was out walking our dogs this week and found a Quarter with the year 1981 on it. That was the year my grandmother passed, so guess who dropped that coin for me? 

-  On Thanksgiving 2011, my friend Lynn's brother Michael came to me with messages for her. He told me things I had no idea about, including that they had the same eye color. SO, be vigilant and don't dismiss happenings- our loved ones DO come back during the holidays to say "Merry Christmas" or "Happy Hanukkah."
  Wishing you and your loved ones a great Thanksgiving- and KNOW that those who have passed are still around your table. You just don't have to feed them! :)

Ronda and Rob both sensed the Woman in the Blue Dress

  There were a number of ghosts that still linger in the house and one in particular was seen by me, my friend and medium Troy Cline, and Ronda Dixon. Ronda had the first encounter with the woman years before when Ronda was working there doing needlepoint. She sensed that someone else was in the upstairs bedroom with her, looked quickly and saw the bottom of a light blue dress worn by a woman of the 1800s.

  During the investigation of Montpelier later with Inspired Ghost Tracking, both myself and Troy sensed the same woman. She didn't stay in a fixed place, and she actually said something to both of us, which made us realize that this was an intelligent haunt.
  The woman had lived on the property before, and loved the house so much she didn't want to leave. She showed me how she would walk up or down the stairs to the main doors to greet people. She showed me that one door, now considered a back door, was once connected to a driveway where horses and carriages would pull up and guests would arrive. It was at that door that Ronda, and Tom (also of the Inspired Ghost Tracking Group) would get a physical sign of the Lady in light blue.

Join medium Barb Mallon for a very special evening of inspiration, validations, and messages from loved ones on the other side!

This event is much like Barb's larger mediumship events; however, instead of an audience of 50 or more, only 25 seats will be available. This gives participants a much better chance of having their own special reading.

This very intimate setting is a wonderful way to experience the process of mediumship through possibly your own reading or through the readings of others*.

Rob Gutro, author and budding medium, will begin the evening with a small talk and introduction. Barb will then relay messages from the other side to those members of the audience she's pulled to. She finishes with a small Q & A session and also possible messages from her students in attendance.

Barb strives to get to as many members of the audience that she can get to* during this event; however, keep in mind that those spirit people with the most dominant energy are the ones who will be able to come through. While she will do her best to keep the readings equal lengths, some spirit people have more to say than others. Some readings may be 5 minutes, while others may be a bit longer. Participants will have the opportunity to ask Barb questions during the Q&A session following the readings, and then meet with Barb and her students after the event.

This event will benefit a local animal rescue group Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA). Bring a bag of dog or cat food, warm blankets, treats or toys and get $10.00 OFF of your admittance fee! *Be sure to register accordingly when checking out!
