Sometimes, though, you can tell by looking in someone's eyes that they have lived before and are an "old soul."
Such was the case with my first dog, Buzz Wyatt, who passed away in a tragic accident on Feb. 22, 2005 when his leash opened and he was killed by a car. When he was alive I would look into his eyes and knew that he was an old soul. In fact, many people told me that whenever they met him. People would tell me Buzz lived before and came here for a short time to help teach me about unconditional love. I totally agree. He was incredibly wise for a puppy, and I don't just mean learning things- I mean reading my emotions.
My husband's late partner was an old soul. He had had many previous existences, already learned a lot, and was only meant to be here for a very short time this go-around. That may explain why he has been able to punch through to reach us while only being on the other side for such a short amount of time.

There are a number of websites that list characteristics in people that can identify them as "old souls" like being non materialistic, you see the bigger picture, you are thankful, you're spiritual not religious (we grow from religions and become spiritual), you're a bit of a loner. Those are just some qualities mentioned. But if you're drawn to something or somewhere in the past and you've never been there, then it's likely you've lived there before.

I think it was Edgar Cayce who told a conceited woman who constantly talked about what an old soul she was to go to the nearest Children's Hospital and look into the eyes of the terminally ill children. There, he said, you will see the oldest souls on earth. My son was like that--as a baby people told me he seemed like a wise old man. Also, I too have visited a town where I lived before this life--Nevada City, CA. And recognized the old bank building where the man I worked for had his office. Reincarnation is absolutely real.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing that story and that insight. Edgar Cayce was wise beyond his years. We all come back! Rob
