Learn about the Haunted Old Yellow House and More in "Case Files of Inspired Ghost Tracking"

A new book called "Case Files of Inspired Ghost Tracking," by best-selling paranormal author Rob Gutro takes readers on paranormal investigations into private and historic homes where ghosts were traumatizing families.
Learn about the Old Yellow House, a haunted childhood home of IGT founder Margaret Erhlich, and how the ghosts inspired her to form the paranormal team many years later that brought the team into many strange situations.
Rob, a medium in the Inspired Ghost Tracking paranormal group, announced the release of his seventh paranormal book that brings readers along on investigations and reveals some bizarre and shocking things the group found and how they helped the ghosts and families.
TO BUY ON AMAZON: https://tinyurl.com/yba6ofbj

"When earthbound ghosts have traumatized families in their own homes, Inspired Ghost Tracking (IGT) of Maryland has gone in to cross them over," Gutro said. "Every case is different, too. Some have had earthbound ghosts that were friendly, others were not. IGT experienced a lot of bad energies that caused people to become physically sick or mentally traumatized. IGT investigators had to figure who, what, when and why things were happening, to finally bring peace to the living and the dead."

In this collection of IGT cases, you’ll read about the "Burned Ghost," ghosts of two different time periods in one home, dark things that Ouija boards brought into homes, a very haunted Maryland mansion, many ghosts of Baltimore’s Federal Hill, a ghostly attachment, a Steelworker’s ghost, poltergeist activity, the famous IGT “Double Murder Ghost Investigation” and many more.

You'll find answers to questions like why ghosts choose to stay in a place, the differences and similarities between ghosts and spirits, why energy is the key to the paranormal and much more.

Although Rob has become known as a "Pet Medium" through the success of his best-selling books "Pets and the Afterlife" and "Pets and the Afterlife 2," he also connects with human earthbound ghosts and spirits.

Gutro is the first in the paranormal field to make the distinction between earthbound ghosts and spirits who have crossed over. Rob has three books about his experience with human ghosts and spirits, called "Ghosts and Spirits," "Lessons Learned from Talking to the Dead," and "Ghosts of England on a Medium's Vacation," and most recently, "Kindred Spirits: How a Medium Befriended a Spirit."

Rob Gutro has been featured in the Washington Post and nationally syndicated radio programs like "Coast to Coast AM." Rob is a volunteer with Dachshund and Weimaraner rescues and gives fundraising lectures for animal rescues around the U.S., teaching grieving pet parents how pets communicate from the afterlife.

Great Children's book: That Monster on the Block by Sue Ganz-Schmitt

Recently I was fortunate to befriend Sue Ganz-Schmitt, an author who writes amazing Children's books and just enjoyed her book "That Monster on the Block." (Perfect timing with Halloween coming up, although it's not about Halloween, but it does have monsters in it!)
This is a MUST for all children. It teaches that although we are different, we should accept and befriend each other. As I read this, I thought, "when we moved here to my neighborhood, there were a couple of monsters on our block, too, but we won them over." The great story and the characters are brought to life by wonderful illustrations from Luke Flowers, too. Every child should read this book and learn from it. I think adults could learn a lot from it, too. 5 of 5 stars!

ABOUT THE BOOK: Monster is excited to see what kind of creature will move into Vampire’s old house on the block. He even starts practicing his welcome growl for the new neighbor. But when the moving truck pulls up, it’s not a greedy goblin, an ogre, or a dastardly dragon that steps out. Instead, it’s something even more terrifying than Monster could have imagined! Monster quickly rallies the other neighbors to unite against the new guy on the block. But what if the new neighbor isn’t exactly as bad as Monster thinks? Join Monster as he confronts his fears in this charming and lighthearted look at what it means to accept others who are different from us

Paranormal Q&A: How much do you charge for your work? How advanced would you say that your work is?

Each week, I'll answer a question about the paranormal, whether a general question, or one about human or animal ghosts (Earthbound) or spirits (crossed over). Here's this week's question:
Q: How much do you charge for your work? How advanced would you say that your work is?

A: I don't charge anything. However, if people want a reading, I would ask that they purchase a book to learn from it!  I also use any profits to travel to animal rescues in the U.S. on weekends to give fundraising lectures on how pets communicate from spirit.

I wrote books to teach people how to find the signs from their loved ones (people and pets) so they don't need a medium.  I'm also a meteorologist full time, so that's how I make my living. If I get  a message for someone, I pass it along at no cost. - I call myself a "medium rare" because I don't give in depth personal readings. That requires a lot of concentration and meditation, and my mind is always going! I can recommend my friend Ruth Larkin, the Beantown Medium, for great in-depth personal readings.

Thanks to ARLNH for a great Virtual "Pets and the Afterlife" Event Yesterday!

Yesterday, I did a virtual fundraiser for the Animal Rescue League of New Hampshire (ARLNH), and talked about how pets communicate from the afterlife. My sincere thanks to Charlotte Williams who  manages the rescue, for hosting me for the third year in a row (although this one was not in person because of the pandemic).

I'm grateful to the people who joined the event. All registration fees were donated to the rescue (and the rescue is full, so they need the financial assistance).  The session ran for about 90 minutes and many of the participants had their own stories of experiences and messages from their pets in spirit. It was moving and very healing.

My thanks to everyone who participated, and for those who shared their stories. I hope the session has helped ease the grief that you're working through after the loss of your furkids. Hopefully next year, I'll be able to return in person. Meanwhile if you would like to read my "Pets and the Afterllife" 1 and 2 books, they're on Amazon.com and under $10.00 (paper) $3.99 ebook.

Haunted Dogtown, Cape Ann, Massachusetts

There are a lot of haunted places in Massachusetts, and the Patriot Ledger newspaper spotlights them
each month. Here are the hauntings of Dogtown, Cape Ann, Massachusetts.

Once a somewhat prosperous inland settlement on Cape Ann in the 1600s, with nearly 100 families and plenty of pasture, the tides of war were not kind to this village north of Gloucester. First, the Revolutionary War brought a new economic boom around fishing and other marine industries, sending people past the village and to coastal Gloucester. Then, the War of 1812 took the rest of the farmers still living there, creating a perfect place for pirates and other unsavory types to hide out away from the busier cities like Rockport.

After the war, the village’s seedy reputation stuck. At one point, it was reportedly inhabited by witches, including Thomazine “Tammy” Younger, known as the “Queen of the Witches,” who would stand in the road and intimidate travelers as they passed by.

Eventually even the unsavory residents moved elsewhere — often leaving their pets behind to turn feral, hence the name “Dogtown” — and the last buildings were demolished in 1845. Now, the area is a public trust and open to hikers — just keep an eye out for the numerous cellar holes that still dot the land, as well as the 36 boulder carvings commissioned by Roger Babson sporting such ominous phrases as, “When work stops, values decay.”

FROM THE BOOK OF DOGTOWN - According to the book Dogtown: Death and Enchantment in a New England Ghost Town it was during this time that the village acquired its name “Dogtown,” either from the plethora of dogs some of the village women used for protection or from the low-level inhabitants it attracted:
“In the 1890s, the area and its named piqued the interest of Gloucester Daily Times editor Charles E. Mann, who documented its history and interviewed ‘sweet-faced old ladies’ and ‘men with whitened locks’ to produce a slender little volume titled In the Heart of Cape Ann or the Story of Dogtown. ‘The name Dogtown,’ Mann wrote, ‘…came from the canines kept by the so-called ‘widows’ of the place, when the evil days came that saw their natural protectors either in their graves or buried beneath the ocean.’ But other than this explanation there are no stories about dogs in this place. What changed the Commons Settlement to Dogtown was the people: women who dressed like men, men who did housework, alleged witches, and former slaves, who lived, according to what Roger W. Babson called ‘Gypsy Ways.’”

Imagine Solving the Mystery of Your Death- This Spirit Did- in the book "Kindred Spirits" by Rob Gutro

It's uncommon for a medium really get know a spirit so well that the living person considers the spirit a best friend. But that's exactly what happened to medium and paranormal investigator Rob Gutro. Gutro, best-selling Amazon.com paranormal author, medium and paranormal investigator recently published his story "Kindred Spirits: When a Medium Befriends a Spirit."  In fact, the spirit of Ed helped solve the mystery of his own death.
TO BUY ON AMAZON: https://tinyurl.com/y9an9jo2

When Rob met his partner Tom in 2005, Ed's spirit came along for the ride. Tom knew Ed but Rob never met him since Ed died in 1996. Over the last 14 years, Ed has communicated with Rob so much, that he now considers Ed a good friend.

Now, Ed often communicates to Rob and has revealed his sense of humor, his heart, and helped solved the mystery of his passing. Ed's "Spirit Treasure Hunt" showed his family he's with them, too. Ed even sent a look-alike to rescue Rob during a vacation in England. As you read about this special spirit named Ed and his sometimes funny communications, you'll learn signs your loved ones send. This book will teach you how to be more aware of messages from your loved ones in spirit.

"Being a friend with Ed in spirit is like having a friend who lives in another state," Gutro said in describing his relationship with Ed's spirit.

Although Rob has become known as a "Pet Medium" through the success of his books "Pets and the Afterlife" and "Pets and the Afterlife 2," he also connects with human Earthbound ghosts and spirits.

He is the first in the paranormal field to make the distinction between earthbound ghosts and spirits who have crossed over. Rob has three books about his experience with human ghosts and spirits, called "Ghosts and Spirits," "Lessons Learned from Talking to the Dead," and "Ghosts of England on a Medium's Vacation," the latter of which was published last year.

Rob Gutro is a member of the Inspired Ghost Tracking Group of Maryland, and has been featured in the Washington Post and nationally syndicated radio programs like "Coast to Coast AM." Archaeology: Bronze Age tradition of keeping human remains uncovered

Archaeologists have discovered that ancient peoples had other ideas for the remains of their relatives, than burying them. ...

An "inconceivably macabre" tradition of keeping human remains as relics during the Bronze Age has been discovered by researchers.
The discovery by University of Bristol archaeologists revealed how the dead were commemorated 4,500 years ago.
In one case, a human thigh bone found in a grave near Stonehenge had been crafted into a musical instrument.
The findings were made using radiocarbon dating and X-ray scanning techniques.
Dr Thomas Booth, from the university, said: "Even in modern secular societies, human remains are seen as particularly powerful objects, and this seems to hold true for people of the Bronze Age.
"However, they treated and interacted with the dead in ways which are inconceivably macabre to us today."

Image captionThe discovery was made in Wilsford, near Stonehenge
In the discovery made in Wilsford, near Stonehenge, the carved and polished artefact was found with other items, including stone and bronze axes, a bone plate and a tusk.
"Although fragments of human bone were included as grave goods with the dead, they were also kept in the homes of the living, buried under floors and even placed on display," said Professor Joanna Brück.
"This suggests that Bronze Age people did not view human remains with the sense of horror or disgust that we might feel today."
Researchers said the findings revealed human remains of those within living memory were regularly kept and circulated amongst the living.
The team also used micro-computed tomography at the Natural History Museum to look at microscopic changes to the bone produced by bacteria, to learn how the body was treated while it was decomposing.

Paranormal Q&A: How realistic are the mediums on television? What percent of mediums do you think are truly contacting spirits?

Each week, I'll answer a question about the paranormal, whether a general question, or one about human or animal ghosts (Earthbound) or spirits (crossed over). Here's this week's question:

Q: How realistic are the mediums on television? What percent of mediums do you think are truly contacting spirits?

Rob and Ruth Larkin, the Beantown Medium
A: I honestly don't watch a lot of mediums or ghost investigations on TV. Producers edit the programs to a fraction of the time filmed, in order to keep the viewer interested. - I've seen Lisa Williams in person (she was on TV for a short time) and she has a genuine gift. The Long Island Medium, Teresa Caputo also has a gift, but sometimes I think she asks for some information.  I'm unsure about the others on TV.
If you're looking for an accessible, and extremely gifted medium I recommend my friends Ruthie Larkin, the Beantown Medium (www.beantownmedium.com) or Barb Mallon (www.barbmallon.com).
