Tarot Tuesday with Joy Andreasen: Ten of cups.

It's Tarot Tuesday with Joy Andreasen. Today's card is the ten of cups.

Joy says: This is the card of : "and they all lived happily ever after." This is the ending we all dream of. Happy family, love, and contentment. Sometimes the road to our happy ending is marked with bumps in the road, struggles, and detours. The truth is, life is all about the journey and the destination. You can decide to be happy now or to wait for your happy ending, but if you are always seeing it as some point in the future, you may never meet up with that day. It may become a dream that seems to always be just out of reach. Count your blessings and know that every day can be your "happily ever after."
Ten of Cups Meanings: Upright: Harmony, marriage, happiness, alignment
Reversed: Misalignment of values, broken home or marriage

Paranormal Q&A: What are some warnings you would give people who wish to contact their loved ones?

Each week, I'll answer a question about the paranormal, whether a general question, or one about human or animal ghosts (Earthbound) or spirits (crossed over). Here's this week's question:

Q: What are some warnings you would give people who wish to contact their loved ones?

A: There's really only one warning to people who want to try and contact loved ones in spirit -  Don't use a Ouija Board. Ever. The reason is that Ouija boards (although initially, and horribly, were marketed to children) open up door ways to the other side and not everyone on the other side was a good person. In addition, they can open a door to dark things (meaning evil).
Don't use Ouija boards!

As a paranormal investigator, I've been called to a number of houses where people used Ouija boards and opened doorways and bad entities came in , and in one case made every member of the family physically ill!  We had to close the portal and clean the house of bad energy.

If you want to contact a loved one in spirit, read my books - because I explain all the ways in which they give us signs. Or, contact a medium like Ruth Larkin, the beantown medium who has a genuine gift.

However, it's easy to see signs from spirits of loved ones. You just need to know what to look for... and that's the reason I wrote my books "Ghosts and Spirits," "Lessons Learned frmo Talking to the Dead" and Pets and the Afterlife and Pets...2."  Please don't use a Ouija board!

Great Regional Paranormal Book:The Granny Curse and Other Ghosts and Legends from East Tennessee

As a paranormal investigator and someone who, loves Tennessee, I just finished reading the best book I have ever read about Tennessee hauntings. "The Granny Curse and other Ghosts and Legends from East Tennessee" is an extremely well-written and researched book by Randy Russell and Janet Barnett that is filled with short and fascinating stores.
I can't recommend this book enough! - And it doesn't matter where you live. These are ghost stories you'll find fascinating and will hold your attention. 5 out of 5 stars!

To Get the Book on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Granny-Curse-Ghosts-Legends-Tennessee/dp/0895871858

A mountain that grew―and continues to grow―from the grave of a woman who was larger than life. The ghost of a woman who jumps on the bumpers of cars driving past the graveyard where she is buried. An apple tree that growls at people who pick its fruit. A woman who rose from her grave each night to get food for a baby born to her after she was buried. A peach tree that grows on the head of a deer. These and other legends and ghost stories handed down for generations are contained in this collection of 25 tales from East Tennessee.

I Enjoyed a Pint with a Ghost in an English Haunted Pub: In my book "Ghosts of England on a Medium's Vacation"

I met a lot of ghosts during my two vacations in England, and wrote about them in my new book "Ghosts of England on a Medium's Vacation."
I enjoyed a lot of pubs during my 2 vacations in England, and many of them were haunted as you can imagine. In one pub, I enjoyed a pint with a ghost who continued to linger and do what he liked to do in life.
You can meet many of the ghosts, too, including those who linger at Hampton Court Palace, the Tower of London, my haunted hotel room, Thornbury Castle, Ghosts in Canterbury, Stratford-Upon-Avon, and so much more!

Today's Tarot Tuesday with Joy Andreasen presents Wheel of Fortune

Today's Tarot Tuesday with Joy Andreasen presents   Wheel of Fortune

Joy says : There is about to be a shift of some kind coming on the scene. The way you experience your life is about to change. Maybe your awareness is about to shift so that the life you are experiencing has different meaning for you, or it could be more of a substantial shift, one that you can feel and touch and recognize. Either way, remember that the only thing that is guaranteed is that nothing ever stays the same. Go with the flow. Breathe. Be at peace. When the dust settles, decide on your next step forward.

About the card:  Wheel of Fortune (X) is the tenth trump or Major Arcana card in most Tarot decks. It is used in game playing as well as in divination.
DepictionIn this card, we see a revolving wheel which represents the wheel of life. In each corner of the card we see four winged creatures sitting upon clouds. These creatures represent the four elements of minor arcana.

Paranormal Q&A: What do your friends and family think of you work? Are you proud, or do you generally keep it quiet?

Each week, I'll answer a question about the paranormal, whether a general question, or one about human or animal ghosts (Earthbound) or spirits (who crossed over). Here's this week's question:

Q: What do your friends and family think of you work? Are you proud, or do you generally keep it quiet?

A: I'm very open about my gift with family and friends. It's hard not to be when I'm also a paranormal investigator and I blog about it, and write about it on Facebook, Twitter, etc.!  Everyone is supportive.  The other aspect is that I help people, and there's nothing wrong with that!  I don't charge for any small email readings I give. I just want to bring people peace and comfort.

I'm not open about my abilities in the workplace, though. Since I'm a scientist, there are many in the science community that don't believe in the paranormal (although I believe the paranormal is all about Energy). You also have to be careful whom you tell, since some people who belong to some conservative religions think mediums "talk to the devil," (even though we don't).

Fortunately, my ability is inherited from my mother's side of the family, so she understood immediately (although she was afraid to use it). Also, I was able to convince my brothers when I told them about a unique sign that my dad's spirit gave me during his funeral. It proved to them that I truly was talking with my dad's spirit! - I wrote about that in my book "Ghosts and Spirits."

A Blog Post from Maribeth Decker Intuitive Animal Communicator,

At the MD Paranormal Conference I met Maribeth Decker Intuitive Animal Communicator, Sacred Grove. Sacred Grove is a website and place where people and pets connect. Since I wrote two books about how pets communicate from the other side, we have a lot in common!

She has an amazing talent and offers services to pet parents like:
PET focuses on endings and transitions When animals are ready to transition, make the transition smooth If people are ready to transition, let the pets know what is going on and say goodbye In addition to individual sessions, PET can smooth transitions of pets and people into/out of your family.

She wrote a blog that references my books and I've pasted it below for you.

What’s the evidence for animal intuition?

Do you believe in animal intuition? The scientific and medical communities, “believe” (hah!) we should look to evidence to decide what to believe – or what is true. Seems like a good idea, especially if we have no personal experience with the subject.
When I use the term animal intuition, I mean telepathy – connecting and communicating mind to mind.

Discover the evidence on animal intuition

I’d like you to discover the evidence that supports animal intuition or telepathy. Otherwise you might miss – or more likely, DISMISS those intuitive moments between you and your pets. Which are generally delightful and fill our hearts with joy!
I’m a perfect example. My dogs practiced their animal communication abilities on me after I became a Reiki Master. But I didn’t stop to take in the delightful comforting experiences. I didn’t share my experiences with others because they were weird. Not anymore. Now their stories are part of my story.

Timmie visits me

Dog Timmie with one ear up and one ear downI actually saw a full body apparition of my dog, Timmie after he died. He was sitting in my dining room grinning at me, full of that goofy happiness that I still miss. There was nothing ghostly about him. He looked solid. And then he disappeared! “Wow, that was amazing”, I thought to myself. And I turned back to the stove and finished cooking dinner.
A few years later, I realize Timmie demonstrated 3 huge truths:
  • Our animals (their personalities – not just their energies) survive death.
  • They are happy!
  • They want us to know they still love us!

Yeah,  but that’s hearsay!

But it didn’t happen to you, so you have to take my word for it. I wish you were there. (Read more of my stories here.)
Never fear! There’s a great book you can read – “Dogs That Know When Their Owners Are Coming Home,” by Rupert Sheldrake, PhD. He conducted studies to scientifically document that some dogs accurately predict, through their behaviors, when their people are coming home.
Here’s one of my favorite stories from the book:
“…Michael Joyce looked after his sister-in-law’s dog while she and his wife went shopping in Colchester, Essex, 14 miles away. He noticed that at 4:45 the dog walked to the window and sat there. [Michael reported], ‘Just a few minutes later it resumed its former position, sprawled out on the carpet. Then at about 5:15, half an hour later, it became excited and anxious again and remained near the window, waiting/anticipating their arrival. When my wife and sister-in-law arrived I said, ‘You decided to leave Colchester at about 4:45, changed your minds, and later decided t leave at 5:15!’ This was indeed what had happened.’ “
Dr. Sheldrake goes on to explain, “The evidence from these and other interrupted journeys supports the idea that dogs respond to their owners telepathically…”

And you’ll read about cats, parrots and horses, too!

Once you’re open to the fact that animals can connect and communicate telepathically, I “believe” you will pay more attention to cool telepathic experiences with your animals. Cherish them!

More resources:

I met author Rob Gutro at the Maryland Paranormal Conference recently. I’m excited to read his book, “Pets and the Afterlife – How They Communicate from the Other Side and More.”
I’m an author too. Read my bestseller, “Peace in Passing: Comfort for Loving Humans During Animal Transitions,” which has some neat stories.
And consider my online class, UConnect. It will help you connect more deeply – telepathically – with your pets.

Part 4: MD Paranormal Convention: McLean Jacobson, Paranormal Mystery writer

Rob Gutro and McLean Jacobson
At the Maryland Paranormal Convention last weekend, my good friend McLean Jacobson joined me
at my table and brought two of her books. One of them was just published this year and is a paranormal-tinged mystery that I love.

Extrasensory Deception: Book One (Suny Davis Series)
 by McLean Jacobson (Author)

ABOUT THE BOOK: Suny Davis has plenty of reasons to swear. Everyone at boarding
school hates her since she learned her social skills from hundred-year-old books. Her father’s a celebrated paranormal researcher (who might be a fake). She’s being transferred to—what?—a college for young geniuses? Her father’s infuriating (but handsome) assistant, Anthony, is assigned to babysit her. And then she’s the last to see the student who’s murdered in the (supposedly haunted) science building! But is the murderer really a poltergeist? That would give Suny even more reason to swear. When her father asks Anthony to investigate and he has the audacity to suggest she help him by using the psychic abilities he’s sure she possesses, Suny really swears! Swears to find the killer with good old-fashioned detective work. Swears not to use any of her psychic powers. Well, maybe a little…

MEET McLean Jacobson on Sunday April 22, 2018 Maryland Psychic Fair, Elks Lodge, Rte 450, Gambrills, Md.
30 vendors including: authors of paranormal books (including Rob Gutro), Psychic readings, crystals and more. TIME: 9am to 5pm ET *$5 fee via eventbrite/$10 at the door
