A Nice Letter I Received!

Recently I gave a lecture about how pets communicate from the afterlife. It was well-attended and a woman who bought one of my Pets and the Afterlife books wrote me a nice letter. She didn't have any pets but she knew people who did, and who lost them. Here's the letter.

Chica Shares Pain Associated with Passing to Prove Identity

Chica
One of the ways in which pets, like people can prove who they are from the other side is to make mediums like me experience the pain they felt before they passed. Often, whenever I read an email I'm able to connect to the energy and get messages from the person or pet who passed. In the following excerpts from a recent email exchange, a dog identified the exact "pain spot" on me as I got messages.
The writer was also able to identify signs from her dog (over a couple of emails). In this blog, though, I'll show you exactly how specific a dog's sign can be to prove their identity.

The ORIGINAL EMAILHi Rob, My good friend lost her Chica yesterday after a very sudden onset neurological type (head) event. We are in shock, she had no indication that anything like this would happen, in fact had a checkup with her vet the day before. Unsure what it was, tumor/aneurism/infection etc, but hope she went peacefully and not anxiously as she had to be rushed to the vet (where she was never comfortable) for her euthanasia.

MESSAGES I RECEIVED FROM CHICA:   - So sorry about your friend's dog Chica. I'm getting a pain over my right eye, and Chica tells me it's something associated with that. It very well could have been an aneurysm that seems to have caused a heaviness in her heart...like a stroke.
I just googled "aneurysm" after I wrote that and  the definition says: "A brain (cerebral) aneurysm is a bulging, weak area in the wall of an artery that supplies blood to the brain. In most cases, a brain aneurysm causes no symptoms and goes unnoticed. In rare cases, the brain aneurysm ruptures, releasing blood into the skull and causing a stroke." - I believe that this is what happened to Chica. Dogs can convey how they passed, as a means to identify themselves.
There was nothing that could have been done to help her recover, so helping her cross was the right thing to do. She thanks her mom for helping her cross and pass out of discomfort (she continued to feel a strong pressure over her right eye until she crossed and now is pain free in spirit).
She's of course, standing again with Buddy, and she's giving her mom a smile.

THE CONFIRMATION: Thanks for replying Rob, you have no idea how bang on you are!
Chica had sudden swelling around her right eye that morning, and some blood coming out of her ears/nose a bit before that.
My friend will probably email you herself, she was amazed at your response and is happy to hear that Chica pain free now.
Thank you for sharing your gift to help us ease the pain of losing our best friends.

Bird Comforts Grieving Mother as She Visits Late Son's Grave

Son's spirit sends a Robin to his mom
Whenever I give talks about how our loved ones in spirit communicate, one of the ways is to
influence birds, butterflies, dragonflies, etc. or some creature in nature to behave oddly around us on an important date relative to the person in spirit, or the living person. Such was Exactly the case with this mother in the U.K. who visited the grave of her son. I write about these in my books "Ghosts and Spirits" and "Lessons Learned from Talking to the Dead"( by Rob Gutro)
You can also watch a video the woman took of the bird's actions. See bottom of this story>>>

Bird Comforts Grieving Mother as She Visits Late Son's Grave on Anniversary of His Death

A tiny bird seemed to hear a grieving mother’s cries when it offered her comfort on the anniversary of her son’s death.

Marie Robinson, of England, posted a video on Facebook of a robin landing on top of her son Jack’s gravestone.

Read Rob Gutro's books for more signs from spirit
Moments later, Robinson held up her hand and the bird landed on her fingers.
"It brought me to tears," she wrote on Facebook. "Taking it as a sign from Jack."
Robinson also posted a photo of the same bird landing on her shoe.
She wrote on Facebook in an earlier post that Jack passed away from brain cancer when he was 4 years old, and Robinson had visited last week on the third anniversary of his death.

"[Three] years ago today I was totally numb at losing my little Jack," she wrote in a Facebook post shared on April 1. "And [three] years on I’m still numb on this day. Today will be hard."
Although she continues to grieve Jack's death, she said she hopes the video of her encounter with the bird going viral will raise awareness for childhood cancers.

Meet Gilligan! Coast to Coast Dachshund Rescue's Available 13 year old Dog 2017

Looking to adopt a great Senior Dachshund?
Gillian may be 13 years old, but he's got a lot of life in him.  Coast to Coast Dachshund Rescue has just taken in this sweet boy, as his family moved into a place that doesn't allow dogs.

Meet Gilligan, a very active senior boy who wants to be your snuggle buddy.  Gilligan does not act his age.  He loves to go on walks, meander in the yard and play with toys.  Gilligan is a talker; he will let you know when he wants attention and a belly rub.

GOOD WITH OTHER DOGS
He has lived with other dachshunds and is friendly to other small dogs he meets on his walks.  Gilligan is not so sure about the big dogs, and we don’t know how he reacts to cats.  He’s happy to meet new humans and he grew up with teenagers.

HOUSEBROKEN
Gilligan is housebroken, but he does mark inside so he’s being retrained with a belly band.

HEALTHY  - He's getting shots, dental, etc.
He’s heart worm negative, up-to-date on his shots and he will soon be neutered and receive a much needed dental cleaning.  Gilligan is in great shape.

A LITTLE GUY! Just 12.5 pounds!
He’s a trim 12.5 pounds and has no trouble getting around or jumping onto the couch to be next to you – not that we encourage that!  Gilligan isn’t crate trained and prefers to sleep on the couch at night.  We are training him to sleep in a cozy dog bed instead.

WHY HE CAME TO THE RESCUE
Gilligan’s family lost their home and could not keep him.  He has many years of love and play left to give.  Gilligan would love to be your forever companion.

Tarot Tuesday: The Queen of Swords

Here's this week's Tarot lesson from my friend Joy Andreasen of Whispers of Joy: The Queen of Swords.

Today may be a day to seek council or to offer council to someone else. Remember the power of your words and use them wisely. The Bible says the power of life and death is in the tongue. Speak out loud what you want to see happen in your life and expect your words to bring you what you want. There is abundance available in every area of your life. Speak out words of life and blessing and watch your world change.

REMINDER: Pets and Vets (Veterans) Don't Like Fireworks

Pets and (some) Vets don't like fireworks. So be considerate and be safe.
Pets are afraid of fireworks, so below are some safety tips and precautions you can take. (Unfortunately if you live in a neighborhood with people who are inconsiderate, try to generate white noise and even give your pet a Benadryl to make them sleepy (1 tab over 30 lbs, 1/2 tab under 30 lbs).
Some Veterans who suffer from PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) are also afraid of fireworks, as the loud noises can trigger the PTSD.  I heard from one veteran who said fireworks don't both him, but for others fireworks act as a trigger for PTSD, so this isn't meant to be inclusive, however, if you have a veteran living in your neighborhood and you don't know their situation or reactions, take the cautious approach and assume that fireworks do affect their PTSD.

Bottom Line: If you live in a neighborhood with a veteran, or where there are pets, please, please be considerate and do not light off loud fireworks.

Figuring Out a Spooky Belmont Manor Photo and Paredolia

First image - no eyes
Earlier in the year during one of the public ghost investigations at the Belmont Manor in Elkridge, Maryland one of the public ghost hunters took two photos in the woods when she sensed something. The first photo showed nothing but blackness among the trees. The second photo had what appeared to be red eyes looking at her. The photos are below. What do you think?

WHAT IS PAREDOLIA? Pareidolia (/pærᵻˈdoʊliə/ parr-i-DOH-lee-ə) is a psychological phenomenon in which the mind responds to a stimulus (an image or a sound) by perceiving a familiar pattern where none exists. It's like seeing a face in a cloud.
Do you see the red eyes on the right side?

FIGURING OUT THE PHOTOS - I'm not saying the photos are paredolia, however, One of the Inspired Ghost Tracking investigators suggested that the red lights could be a car's tail lights, or some kind of beacon n the other side of the woods. There are a number of things it could be, however, the photographer claimed she heard no car, and there's really not a road near the cemetery of the Belmont Manor, because it lies in the back of the property. Further, there are also no radio towers, and usually any lights are not that close. So, it could be paranormal...

Our Annapolis Haunted Encounters Part 3:Ghosts in Shiplap House's Windows

The Shiplap House
In this last blog about our Our Annapolis Haunted Encounters you'll hear about the Ghosts in Shiplap  House's Windows.

THE HISTORY OF THE SHIPLAP HOUSE -   The Shiplap house is a pre-Victorian house, built around 1715, and is now used for offices for "Historic Annapolis." According to Waymarking.com, "This large, separate house is at the end of Pinkney Street in the historic downtown district of Annapolis, Maryland, just blocks away from the Maryland State House and the US Naval Academy. Shiplap House served as a store and tavern in the eighteenth century. The house is named for the random-width flush siding (called shiplap) on the rear facade and the north-east ell. "

OUR EXPERIENCES - As Tom and I (we are both members of Inspired Ghost Tracking) walked by the house we were both drawn to the windows in the
Ghostly face in the window?
upstairs (second floor). We didn't know that this was the site of a former tavern, but we both saw figures moving around in the upstairs windows!  However, the building was closed and no one was in it. I took a couple of pictures of the windows but didn't catch anything on film. However, we knew that there were ghosts moving from window to window.

GHOSTS IN THE WINDOWS!  - On the top left window, I (Rob) described a woman wearing a bonnet, who would be working in the building, circa 1759 or so, when it was a tavern. Then the ghost moved back and forth past the windows on the 2nd and 3rd floors (we both sensed them running back and forth). When we got home I enlarged the windows and came across what looks like the bottom half of a face, from nose down, peering out the top, right hand dormer window (3rd floor!). I checked for reflections, and since it was a cloud-less, clear, blue sky, it was not a reflection of a cloud.
