4 Fundraisers for DC Area Weimaraner Rescue: Candles, Sheets, and a Wine Event!
I work with Weimaraner and Dachshund Rescues (as a dog dad of both breeds) and DC
Area Weimaraner Rescue has a LOT of dogs in foster care and more come
into the rescue almost weekly. That means a lot of vet bills, a lot of
food and other costs. To help out AND benefit from it, you can order
great bed sheets for yourself, Candles (in time for Thanksgiving,
Christmas, etc); OR Go to a really fun Wine Tasting event in Northern
Virginia.
**You can even donate gently used shoes!**
Details to all of them are below. PLEASE help out!!
1) Yankee Candle Fundraiser runs through November 1! http://www.yankeecandlefundraising.com/ Use our customer code YCC 990073907
2) Sheet set fundraiser! PayPal or Check. Email Karin at dcweimrescue@gmail.com to order.

ONE OF THE WEIMARANERS UP FOR ADOPTION:
Suki is a 3 year old spayed female. She has just finished her heartworm treatment and is ready for a home! Suki is from Japan but she only speaks English. She is house and crate trained and good with other dogs and cats. Suki knows some commands and walks well on a leash. Suki would do best in an adult only home where the adults are ALPHA. She needs strong leadership and will take advantage of the weaker family members. No kids please!

Q&A: Any items that would "enhance" the chance of making contact
Recently I received the following question from Lisa and
thought I would share the answer with you as you likely have the same (or
similar questions)
Q: Are there any
items that would "enhance" the chance of making contact with someone
at a Gravesite?
A: If you take out something a person loved in life - a
possession like a favorite piece of jewelry, book, or piece of clothing, it
would also have her energy on it. Coupled with your energy and love that will
enhance the beacon.
As for the easiest way to get a message from Spirit - The
easiest way for a spirit to come give a message, though is to come in your
dreams. Before you go to bed, ask them for a visit.
*LOOKING FOR MORE ANSWERS?* For answers about many questions you may have about ghosts,
spirits or the afterlife, check out my book "Lessons Learned from
Talking to the Dead." I wrote the book to answer all questions on
the paranormal, and used personal experiences or shared stories to convey
answers to questions and provide proof.

SUNDAY 10-18 in Danvers, Mass: Howl-o-Ween for dogs - from German Shepherd Resource and Rescue Center, Inc.
This Sunday, October 18th, the German Shepherd Resource and Rescue Center, Inc. (GSR and RC) in Massachusetts is holding its annual (all breed) Howl-o-Ween Dog Walk and Costume Contest! The event is at Endicott Park in Danvers, Mass (north of Boston) from 10am to 3pm.
It's all a Fundraiser to benefit the rescue and the participation fee for all dog activities is only $10 per dog. Again- it benefits the rescue!
HOW DID I GET TO KNOW THIS? In September when I was at the New England Pet Expo I talked with Stephanie, one of the rescuers and donated a copy of my book "Pets and the Afterlife" by Rob Gutro for the fundraiser. SO, if you go to the event, look for it!

There are many dogs that need forever homes, and many that need FOSTER homes. PLEASE consider becoming a foster parent if you can't adopt. It will save a dog's life and take them out of kill shelters. You just provide food, shelter, and take them to the vet (and the rescue covers the vet bills). Learn more at www.c2cdr.org.

PETS AND THE AFTERLIFE - I brought copies of my book to the event, but was totally focused on the dogs, the rescue and getting the dogs adopted. I spoke to several people who had experiences and messages from their pets who passed, and one pretty amazing woman whose dog's spirit nudged her to the event for a very good reason.

Nice Note from a speaking event!
In early October, I gave a talk at the Reston Regional Library in Virginia. It was well-attended and there were lots of
folks in the audience who had great questions. I received the following letter from the Librarian who organized the event, and it made my day to get it. I look forward to making a return appearance there for another talk in 2016. - Rob **NOTE: If you want me to Speak at your organization, contact me at Rgutro@gmail.com. - I don't charge a fee, but ask to sell my books**
The letter:
Hi Rob,
Thank
you for your willingness to share your abilities and experiences with
our patrons!
Everyone who attended was pretty much spellbound by your
presentation
and eager to learn more. And, several who attended found your
information to be very reassuring and affirming. It is always so nice to
see folks respond so personally and positively to our programs!
I
would love to have you back again next spring for another program and I
think there would definitely be interest in Pets and the Afterlife.
It was a pleasure meeting you and I look forward to seeing you again!
Thanks again,
Sue
