    "One of my big focuses is on pets. I had a dog that was tragically killed as a puppy and who became the world's best canine communicator. He opened the door for other dogs and cats to give messages for others that I've proved over and over.

Yesterday I had the honor of speaking at the FORTFEST conference in Baltimore, Md. I gave a talk I

called the "Dark and Light of the Paranormal." The first part was about a Double Murder Ghost Investigation that I took part in with the Inspired Ghost Tracking Group. The second part was about my new book "Pets and the Afterlife" and how pets can communicate with us from the other side.
   As I was giving the talk, there were a couple of spirit animals running around in the room!  One resembled a King Charles Cavalier Spaniel, with a light brown patch on his back. The other was a light brown cat that kept weaving in and out of the chairs. The cat was a very strong spirit and wanted to let his mom know that he was there and that the love they share keeps them bonded even in the afterlife. A woman in the audience immediately knew that it was her cat.
   Several people I spoke with afterward told me how their pets came back and gave them signs!

Mother's Day: Celebrating Moms Alive or Passed

Happy mother's day to all the moms!  That includes moms of human, canine, feline, etc. Hope you enjoy the day. For those who lost a mom, we have some advice to make it a good day.

CELEBRATING THE DAY - Yesterday we took my partner's mom out for a mother's day lunch because the crowds in restaurants today are out of control. We had a great lunch at a restaurant which was a hidden gem in a golf course clubhouse Apparently, not many thought of it, and it was really good. Those are the kinds of places that make lunches more memorable. 

FIRST YEAR WITHOUT MY MOM - LIKE BEING OUT-OF-STATE-     This is the first Mother's day without my mom, and several friends have mentioned how difficult it may be - well, because of my gift to talk to my mom and understand

messages from her- it's really not. That may sound somewhat cold, but it's not. My mom has lived 400 miles away in another state for 25 years. That's a long time... and it's like she's still living in another state. That's how everyone who lost their mom should think of them. Your mother will always be a part of you. They helped raise you (well good moms do). You've learned habits and talents from them. You repeat their expressions when you talk. You treat others the way you learned from mom. You may or may not clean your house the way she did.

WHAT'S IMPORTANT -    What's important is that when our moms pass away in physical form, their spirit still comes back from time to time. If you don't recognize the signs, then pick up my book "Lessons Learned from Talking to the Dead" and learn what they are. Don't sit at home and pout. Your mom on the other side would say, "cut it out!" Go enjoy mother's day. If not for you, then go out in the world and do something good for someone and say it's in my name."

So, enjoy mother's day and don't dwell on the fact your mom may have passed. She's still around. Think of her as living in another state and you can't drive up there to see her. She can hear you. Just let her know you love her, and remember that she wants you to do something to enjoy YOUR day and even honor her if you wish.

Amazing Day at the Hope and Healing Conference!

Recently, my friend and medium Troy C. and I got to give a talk at the "Hope and Healing Conference in Annapolis, Md. We met a lot of wonderful people and many times when I would point out a way that spirit communicates through signs that they're around, people would raise their hand and tell me that's exactly what happened to them.

It was a conference for parents who lost their children. We spoke about "How to Recognize Signs from Loved Ones Who Passed" based on my books.   
SPIRIT USING CELL PHONES:  I think there were about 5 people that raised their hands after I mentioned spirits will sometimes use  telephones or cell phones. They all proceeded to tell me that their late daughter or son called them !  They all said that their child's number came up on their phone when they knew that the phone number had been disconnected. Amazing what spirits can do!

BUTTERFLIES, BIRDS, ETC. - I talked about how butterflies and birds can be signs from loved ones, and several of the people acknowledged they started seeing certain ones after their child passed. One woman said that her grandmother always had goldfinches in her yard. The woman however, said she had never had one goldfinch in her yard until after her grandmother passed away. She immediately knew those goldfinches were sent over by her grandmother's spirit!

2 AMAZING CONFIRMATIONS - Before I arrived I received signs from a young man who said he died in a car accident after driving down a neighborhood street at night. I was also given names and car type (although I'm not good with identifying cars). A young woman came through so strongly and it turned out it was two young women - both of whom passed of bleeding on the brain. That's what I told the folks in the workshop, and it matched up with two people in the room, whose daughters passed that way. 

TROY THE HEALER -  Troy provided a lot of healing to a certain group of people in the audience, too. He gave them messages that suicide victims had crossed over, and helped one cross over in the room, who had been attached to her mother! Troy's dad is in the ministry and Troy called his dad the night before the conference and they blessed a "prayer cloth." It is intended to bring peace and healing. He handed them out to the 30 people we had in our 2 workshops.
- I think I can speak for Troy and say that we felt that we gave people comfort, hope and knowledge that their loved ones are still with them from time to time. We also taught them how to look for signs and what the signs were.
    Being at the conference was truly one of the best places that we could ever be to share comfort and provide hope to anyone that lost a loved one. It was also amazing to see how many people wanted to know more about pets in the afterlife, too. (I didn't have enough of those books with me!).
 We really feel as if we made a positive difference in the healing of hearts this weekend, and that's a good feeling!
