Tarot Tuesday: Card 23 from the Lenormand Deck
Every Tuesday, my friend Joy Andreason provides "Tarot Tuesday" to
give you some insight into tarot cards. This is a card from a different kind of deck called the Lenormand Deck.
Joy says: It is often the little things that eat away at your soul and fester until they become too large to get rid of on your own. Don't allow pretty grievances to grind away at your sense of well being. Release those judgements and limiting beliefs before they become part of your DNA and get passed on to the next generation. (Another card from the Lenormand deck)
ABOUT THE LENORMAND DECK: One of the more obvious things to note with Lenormand Cards is that they lack reversals. Each of the individual cards come with a general symbol, and they for the most part lack moral judgement. Though not always, Tarot reversals can indicate negativity, blockages, or extremes in a reading. But with Lenormand Cards, they are meant to hold both positive and negative connotations. For example, the Anchor can indicate resilience and stability - but also indicate that one is stuck on something - unable to adapt or let go of something. In Lenormand, the reader will have to interpret the card’s affect within the context of the reading.
BIOGRAPHY: Joy Andreasen is an author, shamanic practitioner, psychic medium, spiritual consultant, Reiki Master Teacher and wedding officiant. She has been giving messages from Spirit for almost twenty years. She teaches spiritual development and shamanic classes in Winchester and Herndon Virginia which are always highly acclaimed.

ABOUT THE SHOW BIZI YOGA:
Hosted by Valerie Okunami
Bizi
Yogi airs Tuesday 10 AM Pacific| 1 PM Eastern, exclusively on the KCOR
Digital Radio Network. The show will explore holistic techniques and
lifestyle choices that create vibrant health and lasting happiness. Each
week we will discuss the latest trends and hot topics today that bring
balance to the body, mind and spirit.
Valerie
Okunami has found that it is possible to use her experience as a
thriving media entrepreneur to emerge successfully in an entirely
different field, in this case operating workplace yoga programs, yoga
teacher training programs and effective healing programs that combine
reiki and yoga.
Ms. Okunami
began her media career in 1988 in Concord, Calif., as a sales executive
for a local radio station. From there she moved to ever larger broadcast
outlets until she joined the staff of NBC affiliate KCRA in Sacramento,
California.
In
1992, she set forth on her own with her Okunami Media advertising
agency. She has been flying under her own power ever since. The agency’s
client list included world renowned museums, national corporations and
local non-profit arts and entertainment organizations. She has served on
the board of The Future Foundation, an educational non-profit
organization providing scholarships to underserved families. She has
also worked with the Red Cross, helping launch major fundraising events.
In
2005, the agency expanded to include publishing two national magazine
titles, a Sacramento edition of Builder/Architect and MD News. In 2007,
she founded CAPG Health magazine, a national healthcare magazine, of
which she remains the publisher. The quarterly magazine’s circulation is
growing as managed care gains more attention with implementation of the
national Affordable Care Act.
All
during her years of building her media operations, Ms. Okunami
maintained a keen interest in health and physical fitness. As an
undergraduate business major at Sacramento State, she worked as a
fitness instructor and personal trainer. In 2000, yoga became a major
part of her fitness regime and it grew in intensity until she found
herself a certified yoga instructor teaching the practice and now
training yoga instructors.
In 2009
she founded Okunami Workplace Yoga, creating and conducting yoga
classes for employees at the workplace while teaching at a popular
Roseville yoga studio and Health & Wellness center. Today, she and
four teachers conduct 14 employer/employee-sponsored classes a week in
the Sacramento area. Her clientele include well known international and
national firms and government employees.
She
also created a Registered Yoga Alliance School called Bizi Yogi. She
trains yoga teachers in two yoga disciplines: 200 RYT Hot 26+2/Power
Fusion program and 200 RYT corporate and chair yoga along with
additional certifications in yin yoga.
Valerie has
no plans of stopping now. She is also a Master Reiki practitioner and
has created an effective healing program for people with chronic health
issues. Valerie
teaches yoga because she sees the incredible transformation people make
in their lives when they begin their yoga practice. They become
healthier, more relaxed and more positive. They discover coping skills
to handle the stress of day to day living and regain hope about the
future. She sees improvement in students who have severe health
challenges.

Q&A: Can a Pet Put to Sleep in a Vet's Office Find Their Way to Me?
Every week I get many questions about spirit and how they communicate. All 5 of my books provide those answers (check them out on Amazon.com). Today's question is about pets who cross over away from home.
Q: If a pet is put to sleep in a vet's office, they can find their way back home?
A: Yes. As I wrote in my books "Pets and the Afterlife' and "Pets and the Afterlife 2," pets, like people in spirit, can find us anywhere in the world! My dog in spirit visited me when I was in Puerto Rico on vacation. My friend Ed's spirit showed up when I was on vacation in England. - Spirits can find us anywhere, because the love we share with them acts as a tether, an energy rope if you will, that always connects them to us!

A wonderful gift in Sprite's Name
On Monday I received an email from the Northeast Animal Shelter in Salem, Massachusetts, where earlier this year, I gave several lectures about how pets communicate from spirit. The email said that a donation was made in memory of my dog Sprite and Spencer, Bridget Sykes' dog. Bridget made the donation in Sprite's memory for me.
Bridget contacted me earlier this year about the passing of her beloved dog, Spencer.
This is a great way to say thanks, and I really appreciate it! Bridget, you made my week.

In the News: Michigan Couple Says They Caught a Ghost on Nanny Cam After Finding Scratches on Baby's Face
People magazine recently reported on a haunting in Michigan. Here's the story:
Michigan Couple Says They Caught a Ghost on Nanny Cam After Finding Scratches on Baby's Face
A Michigan couple is looking for a new home after they say they captured nanny cam footage of a ghost in their 1-year-old daughter’s room and mysterious scratches on the her face.
Joshua Higgins, 30, and Heather Brough, 25, said they believe their Highland, Michigan, home is haunted after they saw footage of what they believed to be a ghostly figure wandering around their daughter, Lily Higgins’ crib. In the video, Lily suddenly stands up and looks around as the figure appears to walk across one side of the room.
“It was chilling,” Higgins told WXYZ. “It was literally a chill down your spine. Like that ‘what if’ factor — Is this what I just saw?’ “
The couple decided to check the footage after they found unexplained scratches on Lily’s face. Brough said she had just woke Lily from a nap when she spotted the deep “purple scratches” on the baby’s cheek.

“Seeing Lily’s face with the scratches was so bizarre and frightening,” Brough said. “I was crying, ‘What happened to you?’ I grabbed her jacket and ran over to my mother-in-law’s house. Nobody knew what happened. We wondered if she’d scratched herself, but when we put her hands up to the scratches it did not match up.”
This is not the first strange occurrence at the home, though. Brough said she has heard an “angry male voice” screaming and laughing. She recalled at least once hearing footsteps up and down the stairs as she took a shower.
“It scares us that it could do something else,” Brough told WXYZ. “I mean, there was a morning I woke up and I felt like someone’s hands were around my neck.”
Brough and Higgins live in a guest house owned by Higgins’ mother, Kris. Kris, who lives in the main house nearby, said an investigator has determined there is paranormal activity in her home — but she said she doesn’t know what could have caused the incidents in the guest home.
“I was told when we bought the houses 11 years ago the lady who owned the property died in the main house. It’s an old farmhouse and according to her niece … she fell down the stairs, broke her hips and laid there for a very long time before she passed away,” Kris said.
However, Higgins’ father, Jim Higgins, told WXYZ that a man who lived at the home originally died after jumping out of a window. Although t is unclear who may be haunting the home, the couple said one thing is certain: they’re moving out.
“This has made us want to leave as soon as possible. As soon as possible we’re out of here,” Brough said. “This is a spirit. I don’t know what its intentions are, but at this point it’s becoming physically harmful.”
“She said that the guesthouse was built for the lady’s brother who was schizophrenic.”
