As I've noted in my books, Earth-bound ghosts both absorb and emit negative emotional energies like
fear, anxiety, depression and anger in addition to the physical energies like heat, light, water and electricity. So, recently I saw a question about if someone is doing a paranormal investigation and someone else is a pessimist, has anger issues or is depressed, is it possible to affect the investigation. Here's the question and my response:
ANSWER: No. Negative energy can be felt from ghosts, and also from living people, but the living during an investigation don't linger in one spot long enough to leave an imprint that can be mistaken for a ghost. However, sensitive people will pick up on a living person's negative energy, but they can distinguish it from a ghost's negative energy.
