Short Video Intro to my Book: "Ghosts of England: On a Medium's Vacation."

Here's a short promo video about my fun book "Ghosts of England: On a Medium's Vacation."
I wrote this book after taking 2 trips to England for vacation. I always carry a journal with me on travel so I can remember what I see. I didn't expect to "see" and meet a lot of ghosts, but everywhere I went, some dead person (and even 1 ghost dog) wanted to communicate with me!!

ABOUT THE BOOK: **What happens when a medium goes on vacation?
Can a medium simply switch off their ability at will? Well…not exactly.
Rob Gutro is a medium/author/paranormal investigator and a scientist who has written 4 books about his encounters with human and animal ghosts and spirits.
In this book, you will read about his experiences on two separate trips to the United Kingdom. England’s rich history and many epic battles have caused an over-abundance of residual emotional energy. Everywhere he traveled, he had a paranormal experience. He explored royal palaces and spent the night in haunted castles. He encountered the ghosts of historical figures including a queen, a prince, and a nobleman; and several ghosts even shared their pain of death experience with him.
On one occasion, the doppelganger of a loved one provided directions when he became lost while driving in the countryside due to a malfunctioning GPS. But not all of his encounters were of the human variety: there was also a very special visit from a canine ghost.
This book is intended to be more than just a collection of personal ghost stories. In addition to relating my ghostly encounters, he has also included a short narrative history of the places where the experiences occurred. After all, knowing the history of a place is key to understanding why a ghost has decided to stay behind.
So, join Rob as he relates his encounters with the ghosts of England. Rob has written 4 other books about the paranormal, two about people (Ghosts and Spirits and Lessons Learned From Talking to the Dead) and 2 about pets (Pets and the Afterlife and Pets and the Afterlife 2). The books are available in paperback and e-book on Amazon.com.

Today's Tarot Tuesday: 2 of Wands

Today's Tarot Tuesday with my friend Joy Andreasen is about the 2 of Wands  !

Joy Says:

If you have been longing for adventure or even planning a trip, today's card may be for you. The key to success is to go over all the details and make sure you have thought of how you will put your plan into action. The only warning of this card is don't attempt to escape fate.

THE CARD MEANING (From biddytarot.com)
UPRIGHT: Future planning, progress, decisions, discovery REVERSED: Personal goals, inner alignment, fear of unknown, lack of planning
Two of Wands Description: The Two of Wands shows a man, dressed in a red robe and hat, holding a small globe. The world is literally in his hands, marking the enormous potential before him if he can expand his horizons accordingly. He stands within the confines of his castle, suggesting that while he is contemplating significant opportunities, the man has not yet left his comfort zone to pursue them; he is still very much in the planning phase. His hand rests on an upright wand, and a second wand is affixed to the castle’s wall, a further sign that he is still not ready to venture out. In the background, the land is fertile while also rocky, promising that he has a good chance for success, so long as he can overcome the challenges that will arise.

BIOGRAPHY: Joy Andreasen is an author, shamanic practitioner, psychic medium, spiritual consultant, Reiki Master Teacher and wedding officiant. She has been giving messages from Spirit for almost twenty years. She teaches spiritual development and shamanic classes in Winchester and Herndon Virginia which are always highly acclaimed.

Bristol England Hauntings #9: Girl on Horseback at Stoke Park

One of my books is called "Ghosts of England on a Medium's Vacation" and is all about the various ghosts I met when I took 2 vacations in England. Recently, Bristol Live in the UK ran a series about haunted places in Bristol, so on this blog,  you'll read about 1 each week for the next several weeks!      Meanwhile if you want to read about the ghosts I met (Queens, shop owners, members of the royal court, Tavern workers, Shakespeare's sister, and even a dog, check out my book on Amazon.com.  Now, onto the hauntings in Bristol, England:

The girl on horseback at Stoke Park

The Dower House
The Dower House
The Dower House, situated in Stoke Park, is one of Bristol's most recognisable buildings as it overlooks the M32 on the way in to the city.

Both the house and grounds of Stoke Park are believed to be haunted by one its former residents. Seventeen-year-old Elizabeth Somerset fell from her horse in 1760 and broke her neck. Her ghost is said to still ride around the park.

Walkers in the park often report hearing the sound of horses' hooves in the woodland, but no horses have had access to the land for decades.

Video: My Ghostly Tour Guide at Hever Castle: "Ghosts of England on a Medium's Vacation"

In the book "Ghosts of England on a Medium's Vacation" by me, Rob Gutro,  I wrote about my encounter with a ghost named "George" when I entered Hever Castle in the United Kingdom. Having no knowledge of the castle, and no idea who it was, I learned it was Queen Anne Boleyn's brother, who met a fateful end under the rule of Henry VIII, George shared a number of personal things with me and accompanied me through Hever Castle, acting as a ghostly tour guide. This video that I made outside the castle captures some of that, and the rest is in the book!

An Amazon Review I Like for my new book "Kindred Spirits"

Reviewing books after you read them is helpful to others who may be searching for something in the genre. The more reviews a book gets on Amazon, the more visible it becomes to others, and I enjoy reading reviews for books I want to read, and I'm honored when others tell me what the found interesting and touching in the books I write. Here's one of the latest reviews for my book, Kindred Spirits, by Rob Gutro.
(It's available on Amazon.com for $6.99 paperback and $3.49 kindle).
(My thanks to Mike for this review).

In Memory of my friend: Mary (Peduzzi) Lenzen of Lakes Region Humane Society

Mary Lenzen
On Sept. 25th, my friend Mary passed away and joined those she loves on the other side. I was fortunate to meet Mary a  couple of years ago, when she contacted me to do a lecture on how pets communicate from the afterlife, based on 2 of my books. In addition to many things she did, she also managed the Lakes Region Humane Society in Ossipee, New Hampshire. She loved animals with all her heart, and of course, she is surrounded by them now.
I'm publishing this today, October 11, because it's also her BIRTHDAY. I know she'll be around her loved ones giving them signs. She already gave me one.

A MESSAGE FROM MARY -  As a medium, its a gift that spirits are able to communicate with me and Mary already came through to me. She was as short as I am, so it was no surprise that she showed me she was safely and happy on the other side in the light, and surrounded by so many, many dogs and cats in spirit that she was actually jumping up and down and waving like crazy so I could see her!  I conveyed this message and image to Mary's friend (and mine), Celeste, who understood it was a perfect sign from Mary.

Below is Mary's obituary, so you can learn about this really wonderful person, who is now a spirit looking over so many people and animals from the other side.
Rob Gutro

Mary (Peduzzi) Lenzen of Lakes Region Humane Society

Mary peacefully passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 while residing in East Wakefield, NH. She was born to Claire Turco Peduzzi and the late Everett O. Peduzzi in Westerly, RI. She began her education at Immaculate Conception School and later transitioned to the Westerly Public School System graduating from Westerly High School in 1973. Mary graduated from the University of Rhode Island earning a Bachelor of Arts, High Distinction. She completed her post-graduate work at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute earning a Master of Science in Computer Science.

She married Kurt, the love of her life, on May 2, 1981. Mary was dedicated to her profession and established lifelong friendships on a global spectrum. She had a long and productive career at Pfizer, lnc. beginning as a chemist and continuing in Clinical Research as Head of Database Administration and Clinical Data Standards. She was a pioneer and leader in establishing clinical data standards throughout the pharmaceutical industry as well as a charter member of CDISC (Clinical Data Interchange Standards Consortium, a nonprofit organization that develops and supports global data standards to improve the quality and interoperability of medical research and healthcare). She was also employed at BBN as part of her journey. After retiring from Pfizer, Mary worked for Octagon Research Solutions where she led CDISC training initiatives worldwide.
LRHS

Mary was instrumental in assuring that family events were memorable. She organized several Turco/Federico family reunions and Peduzzi gatherings. She was known as the "Queen" of holiday pitch card games and it didn't matter if she was on a losing team, as long as laughter was pervasive. She insured the success of family ventures by providing financial support including Kathy Turco's film documentary "Spirit of the Arctic". In addition, Mary was an active fundraiser for various causes such as the Terri Brodeur Breast Cancer Foundation even while experiencing this disease herself. Mary was determined to help others despite her own pain. She was a volunteer and past board member of this nonprofit organization which directs 100% of gross fundraising dollars directly to breast cancer research.

Mary enjoyed her retirement in East Wakefield and she frequently volunteered, especially concerning the care of animals and education of the watershed ecology. She often applied her technical knowledge of computers to various organizations such as The Food Pantry GED program and The Lakes Region Humane Society of which she was President.

Lakes Region Human Society
She was predeceased by her sister, Geraldyn Peduzzi. She is survived by her husband, Kurt; mother, Claire; brothers, Peter (Linda) and Everett; sisters, Judy O'Connell (Michael) and Claudia; nephews, Andrew O'Connell, David and Nathan Peduzzi; nieces, Elizabeth Ziniti (Tom), Jackie O'Connell and Jenna Peduzzi; and great nephews, Noah and Luke Ziniti.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, October 12 from 11:00 to 1:00 at Avery-Storti Funeral Home located at 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, RI 02879 followed by a reception.

In lieu of flowers, a contribution can be made in Mary's name to The Lakes Region Humane Society, P.O. Box 655, Ossipee, NH O3864, Attn: Megan Williams, Managing Director.

IGT Paranormal Investigation - An Energy Doorway!

In one investigation, the Inspired Ghost Tracking group (of which I am one of the mediums) went on an investigation in a building in Virginia. The owner of the building called us to determine the noises and appearances of figures that were seen as the building being was being renovated. In this short clip, I was narrating and speaking about a doorway where a male apparition was spotted. Troy C., another medium with Inspired also explains about his experiences.
I felt as if the doorway contained a lot of energy, like an ocean wave. That's a somewhat common feeling when it comes to energy and the paranormal. Entities or residual energy can provide that same feeling.
To learn more about energy, entities, and ghosts, check out my book "Lessons Learned from Talking to the Dead" or "Ghosts and Spirits" both  available on Amazon.com *under $10!* in paperback and e-book.

ARLNH Cat Needing Forever Home: Meet Birch

Recently I visited the Animal Rescue League of NH in Bedford where I lectured about how pets
communicate from the afterlife. I learned that there are many cats and dogs who are seeking forever homes, and today, I'm going to spotlight a beautiful cat named Birch.

ARLNH WEBSITE:
https://www.rescueleague.org/cats
ABOUT BIRCH - If you are looking for a socially awkward companion, you have come to the right place. We are a-plenty. Me and all my pals came from a situation with a lot of other cats, and not a lot of people to spend our time with. We have learned that cats = good, and humans = scary. But we are young, and we are willing to learn new things. Although we may look like your average pick up and cuddle kittens, we enjoy our personal space, and appreciate when folks take their time getting to know us. It's not fun when someone comes on too strong, y'know?
There are lots of things that can help us get to know each other. The biggest one is food! Giving us valuable treats will help us see that you are here to bring us good things. Play will also help us be brave and come out of our shell- when the instincts kick in, we forget we are scared. Having a home without small children or dogs (who we have never encountered) will really help us adjust to house cat life.
Usually, kittens are easier in pairs. But you know when you are socially awkward and you go to a party to try to broaden your horizons, but then you see your other socially awkward friend and you end up hanging out with them in a corner all night and not meeting anyone new? Yeah, that phenomenon happens to us cats, too. We LOVE cats, but we would do better with a more extroverted friend. Like if you have a kitty at home that loves you and trusts you, they could teach us to do the same! Our friends here, however, simply enable our awkward nature.
We will need lots of dedicated time, a quiet place and lots of food to come out of our shell...but we promise you will be so rewarded when we begin to trust. Whaddaya think, awkward together?

The warrior monk of Temple Back Fire Station

Temple Back Fire Station
Temple Back Fire Station
It's not just old buildings that boast their very own ghosts. The relatively modern fire brigade headquarters at Temple Back has a haunted history, too.

Ghosts have been sighted at the building over the years. In 1975 alone, there were at least nine sightings of a ghost which was so real that is was often mistaken for somebody playing a prank.

The ghost is believed to be one of the Knights Templar, the warrior monks who were persecuted in the fourteenth century because of their power.

The Knights used to own the Temple area, so it's feasible that the walking knight was disturbed when the land was redeveloped for the fire brigade.
