Today's Tarot Tuesday with Joy Andreasen presents Wheel of Fortune

Today's Tarot Tuesday with Joy Andreasen presents   Wheel of Fortune

Joy says : There is about to be a shift of some kind coming on the scene. The way you experience your life is about to change. Maybe your awareness is about to shift so that the life you are experiencing has different meaning for you, or it could be more of a substantial shift, one that you can feel and touch and recognize. Either way, remember that the only thing that is guaranteed is that nothing ever stays the same. Go with the flow. Breathe. Be at peace. When the dust settles, decide on your next step forward.

About the card:  Wheel of Fortune (X) is the tenth trump or Major Arcana card in most Tarot decks. It is used in game playing as well as in divination.
DepictionIn this card, we see a revolving wheel which represents the wheel of life. In each corner of the card we see four winged creatures sitting upon clouds. These creatures represent the four elements of minor arcana.

Paranormal Q&A: What do your friends and family think of you work? Are you proud, or do you generally keep it quiet?

Each week, I'll answer a question about the paranormal, whether a general question, or one about human or animal ghosts (Earthbound) or spirits (who crossed over). Here's this week's question:

Q: What do your friends and family think of you work? Are you proud, or do you generally keep it quiet?

A: I'm very open about my gift with family and friends. It's hard not to be when I'm also a paranormal investigator and I blog about it, and write about it on Facebook, Twitter, etc.!  Everyone is supportive.  The other aspect is that I help people, and there's nothing wrong with that!  I don't charge for any small email readings I give. I just want to bring people peace and comfort.

I'm not open about my abilities in the workplace, though. Since I'm a scientist, there are many in the science community that don't believe in the paranormal (although I believe the paranormal is all about Energy). You also have to be careful whom you tell, since some people who belong to some conservative religions think mediums "talk to the devil," (even though we don't).

Fortunately, my ability is inherited from my mother's side of the family, so she understood immediately (although she was afraid to use it). Also, I was able to convince my brothers when I told them about a unique sign that my dad's spirit gave me during his funeral. It proved to them that I truly was talking with my dad's spirit! - I wrote about that in my book "Ghosts and Spirits."

A Blog Post from Maribeth Decker Intuitive Animal Communicator,

At the MD Paranormal Conference I met Maribeth Decker Intuitive Animal Communicator, Sacred Grove. Sacred Grove is a website and place where people and pets connect. Since I wrote two books about how pets communicate from the other side, we have a lot in common!

She has an amazing talent and offers services to pet parents like:
PET focuses on endings and transitions When animals are ready to transition, make the transition smooth If people are ready to transition, let the pets know what is going on and say goodbye In addition to individual sessions, PET can smooth transitions of pets and people into/out of your family.

She wrote a blog that references my books and I've pasted it below for you.

What’s the evidence for animal intuition?

Do you believe in animal intuition? The scientific and medical communities, “believe” (hah!) we should look to evidence to decide what to believe – or what is true. Seems like a good idea, especially if we have no personal experience with the subject.
When I use the term animal intuition, I mean telepathy – connecting and communicating mind to mind.

Discover the evidence on animal intuition

I’d like you to discover the evidence that supports animal intuition or telepathy. Otherwise you might miss – or more likely, DISMISS those intuitive moments between you and your pets. Which are generally delightful and fill our hearts with joy!
I’m a perfect example. My dogs practiced their animal communication abilities on me after I became a Reiki Master. But I didn’t stop to take in the delightful comforting experiences. I didn’t share my experiences with others because they were weird. Not anymore. Now their stories are part of my story.

Timmie visits me

Dog Timmie with one ear up and one ear downI actually saw a full body apparition of my dog, Timmie after he died. He was sitting in my dining room grinning at me, full of that goofy happiness that I still miss. There was nothing ghostly about him. He looked solid. And then he disappeared! “Wow, that was amazing”, I thought to myself. And I turned back to the stove and finished cooking dinner.
A few years later, I realize Timmie demonstrated 3 huge truths:
  • Our animals (their personalities – not just their energies) survive death.
  • They are happy!
  • They want us to know they still love us!

Yeah,  but that’s hearsay!

But it didn’t happen to you, so you have to take my word for it. I wish you were there. (Read more of my stories here.)
Never fear! There’s a great book you can read – “Dogs That Know When Their Owners Are Coming Home,” by Rupert Sheldrake, PhD. He conducted studies to scientifically document that some dogs accurately predict, through their behaviors, when their people are coming home.
Here’s one of my favorite stories from the book:
“…Michael Joyce looked after his sister-in-law’s dog while she and his wife went shopping in Colchester, Essex, 14 miles away. He noticed that at 4:45 the dog walked to the window and sat there. [Michael reported], ‘Just a few minutes later it resumed its former position, sprawled out on the carpet. Then at about 5:15, half an hour later, it became excited and anxious again and remained near the window, waiting/anticipating their arrival. When my wife and sister-in-law arrived I said, ‘You decided to leave Colchester at about 4:45, changed your minds, and later decided t leave at 5:15!’ This was indeed what had happened.’ “
Dr. Sheldrake goes on to explain, “The evidence from these and other interrupted journeys supports the idea that dogs respond to their owners telepathically…”

And you’ll read about cats, parrots and horses, too!

Once you’re open to the fact that animals can connect and communicate telepathically, I “believe” you will pay more attention to cool telepathic experiences with your animals. Cherish them!

More resources:

I met author Rob Gutro at the Maryland Paranormal Conference recently. I’m excited to read his book, “Pets and the Afterlife – How They Communicate from the Other Side and More.”
I’m an author too. Read my bestseller, “Peace in Passing: Comfort for Loving Humans During Animal Transitions,” which has some neat stories.
And consider my online class, UConnect. It will help you connect more deeply – telepathically – with your pets.

Part 4: MD Paranormal Convention: McLean Jacobson, Paranormal Mystery writer

Rob Gutro and McLean Jacobson
At the Maryland Paranormal Convention last weekend, my good friend McLean Jacobson joined me
at my table and brought two of her books. One of them was just published this year and is a paranormal-tinged mystery that I love.

Extrasensory Deception: Book One (Suny Davis Series)
 by McLean Jacobson (Author)

ABOUT THE BOOK: Suny Davis has plenty of reasons to swear. Everyone at boarding
school hates her since she learned her social skills from hundred-year-old books. Her father’s a celebrated paranormal researcher (who might be a fake). She’s being transferred to—what?—a college for young geniuses? Her father’s infuriating (but handsome) assistant, Anthony, is assigned to babysit her. And then she’s the last to see the student who’s murdered in the (supposedly haunted) science building! But is the murderer really a poltergeist? That would give Suny even more reason to swear. When her father asks Anthony to investigate and he has the audacity to suggest she help him by using the psychic abilities he’s sure she possesses, Suny really swears! Swears to find the killer with good old-fashioned detective work. Swears not to use any of her psychic powers. Well, maybe a little…

MEET McLean Jacobson on Sunday April 22, 2018 Maryland Psychic Fair, Elks Lodge, Rte 450, Gambrills, Md.

Part 2: Photos: Meet 2 Witches from the MD Paranormal Conference

L to R: Rob, David, Crimson
This is part 2 of several parts to my experiences at the Maryland Paranormal Conference.
On Aug. 4, Saturday, I was privileged to be one of the  speakers and met some other very interesting speakers, one of "witch" was David Salisbury who is, in fact, a witch and an herbalist and much more.  I also met another witch named Crimson who was helping David out.
I learned a lot about Wicca, the religion of witches (and witches can be male or female) and they're nothing like the fake "satanic" stuff that society has been fed by mis-information. David's talk was eye opening and refreshing I learned a lot!  In this blog you'll learn about David, what is Wicca and David's herbalism.

David said: "Magic infuses every area of my life. I write about the ways in which the magical arts transform the soul and move us into states of beauty and power. My work focuses on abandoning dogma and daring to step into a current of experiential witchcraft that's focused on "doing" rather than "believing."

David talking about what being a Wiccan really means
WHAT IS WICCA? Wicca also termed Pagan Witchcraft, is a contemporary Pagan new religious movement.

NOT SATANIC - It's a religion about worshipping nature! The Old Religion" is a diverse and decentralized religion that is part of contemporary Paganism/Nature Spirituality.
WICCAN'S DON'T PUT CURSES ON PEOPLE - That's more made up stuff.

DAVID THE HERBALIST:
the most ancient of all arts associated with the magic-workers of old is held within the art of wortcunning, what we would today call herbalism. Pharmakeia is the name given in ancient Greece to identify sorcery, the knowledge of plants, and their medicines together; two things nearly indistinguishable from each other.

DAVID'S WEBSITE: https://www.daviddsalisbury.com/

ABOUT DAVID (from his website):   I am a a proud queer person, vegan, and Witch experiencing life in our nations capital. In my home area of Washington DC I help lead one of the largest organizations of witches and pagans on the east coast, The Firefly House. The focal point of my spiritual practice is one of service, experiential gnosis, spirit contact, and deep listening.
David and Crimson
As an initiatory line, Firefly runs three covens in the DC area. The tradition places a focus on lunar and solar cycles, acts of personal magic, connection with spirit forces, and most importantly, the growth of the egregore, or "group mind." I'm also an initiate of the Anderson Feri tradition of witchcraft in the BlueRose line, and hold degreed initiations in O.T.O. (Ordo Templi Orientis)
I was first introduced to the Craft at the age of 11 by my stepmother, and then on a deeper more intentional level by a childhood friend at the age of 12. That same year, I began training with a friend's family coven and initiated a year later. I teach around the country and have presented at Pagan Pride Days, Pagan Spirit Gathering, Sacred Harvest Festival, Pantheacon, Firefly Housewarming Conference, TempleFest and at shops around the nation. My workshops place a strong focus on deepening one's personal connection to the Craft through daily practice, heartfelt ritual, and spirit alliances.

Paranormal Q&A: What advice do you have for parents of kids that can talk to spirits?

Each week, I'll answer a question about the paranormal, whether a general question, or one about human or animal ghosts (Earthbound) or spirits (crossed over). Here's this week's question:

Q: What advice do you have for parents of kids that can talk to spirits?

A:  Children can see Earthbound ghosts or spirits who have crossed over (like their grandparents for example) because their logical minds have not yet developed.

Acknowledge their "friend" and ask them details. Ask for a name, and what the ghost or spirit looks like.  If you recognize the description of the person or pet in spirit (or ghost)  and they were good in the physical, don't discourage your child from talking with them, but always tell your child to share what they learn or talk about.

If it's an Earthbound ghost, it may be someone who lived in the house previously, or someone who stayed behind because they regret something they did in life and were afraid to cross over.  They could be a good person, or a bad person- just as they were in the physical. - So if you ask your child about the ghost person, have them describe their personality and appearance. Ask if the child is afraid of them or likes them. If the ghost makes the child uncomfortable, then call a paranormal group to try and cross the ghost over.

If it's the spirit of a loved one, they're just coming back to spend time with the child and looking over them.

Joy Andreasen's Tarot Tuesday: Four of Swords

Today's Tarot Tuesday with Joy Andreasen presents "The 4 of Swords"!

Joy says: Today is a day to consider taking a break. Leave all the stress and worry that sometimes hangs over your head on a daily basis behind and fulfill your obligations with detachment from any particular outcome. Be at peace. Let it go. If you can stay in bed all day, today is the perfect day to do it. Live as if any decision you make is the right one. Live as if nothing matters except whether you are happy. Be happy just because you can. And you can!

About the 4 of Swords: The Four of Swords is a card of solitude, leading to healing on many levels. It tells of a time of rest before the final onslaught, and to prepare for future events. It is a card that signifies a ‘calm after the storm’ and/or the ‘calm before the storm.'

Part 1: Photos from the Maryland Paranormal Conference

Rob Gutro at his vendor table
This is part one of several parts to my experiences at the Maryland Paranormal Conference.
On Aug. 4, Saturday, I was privileged to be one of the  speakers at the MARYLAND PARANORMAL CONFERENCE in Gambrills, Maryland.
I talked about some of the ghosts that I encountered during 2 vacations I took in England. I met a LOT of ghosts in England and wrote about them in my new book "Ghosts of England On a Medium's Vacation."
 - The book is available on Amazon.com in E-book and paperback.
The event was organized by Ed Hrunei and Peter Franks, two men famous for bringing the paranormal to the forefront of society and educating people in how the "paranormal" works.
My thanks to both of them for having me back a second year in a row!
The great banner from Animal Rescue of Rhode Island

USING A SURPRISE!  When I gave a fundraising talk about "Pets and the Afterlife" at the Animal Rescue of Rhode Island on June 24th, they made a great banner for me. The week before the conference, I received the banner in the mail as a surprise!!  I'm so blown away by it, and happily displayed it on my table at the conference. I can't wait to go back next year!

INTRO TO MY TALKS- I always have to start with the basics whenever I do my talks because we're all at different levels  of understanding. So, I explain what a medium is, and the basics of energy, what a ghost is, what a spirit is, and more. Then I get into the stories!
