Spirits (those who have crossed into the light) have the ability to manipulate things in nature to give us signs. Things like dragonflies, birds, butterflies, feathers, flowers, and other things that would help identify them.

  That doesn't mean every time you see a dragonfly someone in spirit is there. The dragonfly or whatever it is would have to have special significance, or behave oddly in a way that it usually would not.
Below is Story # 2 of 4 from readers about dragonflies and spirit. 

MY BROTHER'S DRAGONFLY

August  26, 2013 

    My brother passed away four weeks ago today and we have had numerous dragonfly sightings since. A large orange,a green, a blue and black one have stayed around my Mom's yard continually. 

   In addition, I went just up the road and a large black dragonfly kept circling my car. I thought I've never seen anything like this. I stretched out my arm and it sat on my palm just looking at me.

  The young man who took over my brother's job reports seeing them as well. I have found these sighitings peaceful and I believe they are for my Mom as well. My brother told us he would find a way to send us a sign. I'm a believer.

Over the next 4 blogs, I'm going to share with you some stories that readers have posted on in response to an earlier blog about dragonflies - that made them think their loved ones were around.

STORY #1: MY DAD'S DRAGONFLY

    We've had encounters with dragonflies since my dad passed away last year. The day after he passed away, my daughter and I were swimming in our pool when a big dragonfly started flying back and forth over the pool. It kept this up for over an hour.

    Last month, I went to the cemetery where my dad and mom are buried. While I was standing at my father's grave, a dragonfly landed on my back. In all of my 50 years, I've never had a dragonfly land on me.

    Then yesterday, at my son's wedding, a dragonfly landed on my son's back. Out of 17 people at the wedding, this dragonfly chose to land on the groom. On his wedding day. I'm pretty sure it was a sign from my dad to his grandson. :)

  Thank you for sharing your story. Spirits always communicate on birthdays, anniversaries or holidays and special family events- so your mom and dad obviously wanted to let you know they were at their grandson's wedding.

Four Examples of our loved one's spirits around on holidays, birthdays, anniversaries

Spirits visit on Birthdays, Anniversaries and Holidays so be aware of what's happening around you. They can influence things to happen, like having a mom bring her newborn to a hospital when the baby is running a fever, only to discover the baby had an infection that needed treatment.
  They can leave you signs like their favorite song playing on the radio, or a coin with the year of their birth,death, or some other life event. Flowers, a phone call with no one on the other end. There are a whole host of things they can do.

Sweet Caroline getting good care

A BABY NEEDING HELP- This Christmas, our friend Katrina's daughter newborn daughter Caroline was hospitalized.
   Katrina took her infant daughter to the doctor to investigate a high temperature. It seems that she was influenced to go to that degree from the spirit of her grandma- and be extra-cautious. That cautiousness turned out to be necessary. 
   Caroline went into the hospital on Dec. 22 with a temperature and doctors discovered she had  a bacterial infection in her blood and needs antibiotics, so they kept her in the hospital over Christmas.
  I told my friend Carol (Katrina's mom, Caroline's grandma) - "At least the doctors found something important enough to ensure she's getting the care she needs. In fact, it's because your mom's spirit helped them find it. Your mom is right there with her."

A BIRTHDAY APPEARANCE - Last month, on Tom's birthday, I told him that his late friend Ed would be around. Well, he found a penny and it was dated 1996, the year that Ed passed away. That was a confirmation from Ed that he was indeed around, just as your late relatives (people and pets) are around during birthdays, anniversaries and holidays.

TWO SCENTS IN HOLIDAY GREETINGS- Our friend Beth said on Hanukkah, "I just smelled my dad....weird! He's been gone for 4 years. It was real, (the smell) did not know to cook a favorite meal. We cooked what would have been his favorite breakfast!"

Beth's friend Tammy also got a visit from her mother-in-law. Tammy said "That happened to us yesterday. We were making her homemade peanut butter cookies there she was. It was Richard's momma's perfume. . Weird feeling. "

A New Sign from Sprite's (the Dachshund) Spirit!

On April 3, I received a page from the Los Angeles Times in the mail from my friend Layla. In my new book, "Pets and the Afterlife" Layla encountered the same type of butterfly that our late dog Sprite sent to us several times after he passed, to let us know he was okay and still around. - In the chapter about Sprite, you'll read how the same butterfly lingered around our dogs, just as like Sprite did.
  When Layla read about Sprite's passing  the the butterfly, she also encountered one (which is in the book. She recently came across this 3/4 page drawing of the same exact butterfly in her local newspaper and told me she knows Sprite wanted to send me a message that he's still around and sends love.
  When I opened the envelope that contained it, and read Layla's note before seeing the butterfly on the other side, it brought a tear to my eyes because I've been missing Sprite much more than usual lately (and yes, I say good night to him, because he's around and can hear me). I needed this confirmation!
   Remember- There are no such things as coincidence. When you need someone in spirit, they're around you even if you can't feel them.
