Dealing with Non-believers of Mediums and their Comments

Recently a great article about my friend and fellow medium Ruthie Larkin appeared in a newspaper. The article was well written and interviewed people whose lives Ruthie had touched by communicating with their lost children.  When I read the four readers' comments on the article it was difficult not to become angered.  If people are ignorant of what a medium is, they should learn before criticizing.  Below are the comments on the article and my response - which is a response that you can feel free to use with any critic you encounter.
COMMENTS:
Facepalm   - Free advertising for this scam artist? Sickening.

zen - Not one Psychic could predict the Boston marathon bombing , that would have saved lives and a lot of injury ! Fakes... ( why can't they predict the lottery number' ?

cofficer - I predict that many people have and many more will be fooled by her................and I will do it for free.

jaytee - There are reasons the news reporting career finished dead last (worst job) in a recent survey. Sending reporters out to write about this kind of nonsense is one.
HERE IS MY RESPONSE:
This is a great article - thank you for publishing it to make grieving parents know that there is someone with a gift who is willing to help offer comfort Free of charge. As for nasty comments on this article- If you lose a child or someone close to you, perhaps you'll seek someone with her gift. If you don't believe then inquire and learn. Too many people sit behind a computer and profess to know everything about everything and criticize what they don't understand- Ignorance is not a right to criticize others. As for 'Predicting the Boston tragedy' - Mediums are Not fortune tellers and can't see into the future. There's a big difference. Mediums talk with people who have passed on to share messages with their loved ones and telling lottery numbers is not one of those things either. **Perhaps if you lost someone you love and contact her or others with her gift you may learn something. When a person like this offers her services for FREE she has Nothing to gain. Nothing. ** Yes, many people don't believe in this ability because of scam artists who have taken advantage of others- it happens in every line of work- like construction, finance, etc. But the people with genuine talent like Ruthie should not be dismissed or grouped into that category. I'm disgusted with anyone who criticizes people like Ruthie who try and offer comfort, hope and peace to families who lost a loved one. If anyone does not understand what it means to be a medium and help people free of charge without personal gain, then they need to educate themselves before criticizing. This woman has a gift that has brought peace to many people she doesn't know, and that's worth writing about.
