As an author it's always amazing to receive emails from places around the world. Recently I received an email from a man named Tyler whose Rottweiler passed. I was able to provide Tyler with a couple of messages of comfort and 2 personal identifications that proved his dog was communicating. Tyler told me he lives in South Africa!
Then he told me that my books are available there. That's so amazing to me. Here's a snapshot of the page where he said he got them. It made my day.- Rob

Paranormal Author Revises Breakthrough Book: "Ghosts and Spirits"
![]() |
Look for the purple border for the new volume |
"Ghosts
and Spirits" was Gutro's first book, originally published in 2010. It was
the first paranormal book to distinguish the difference and similarities
between Earth-bound ghosts and spirits who have crossed over into "Heaven,
Valhalla, Paradise, etc." or whatever people call the other side.
"Look for the purple border to get the 2nd Edition. There are a number of 1st editions on Amazon.com under "used" - so make sure you get the revision."
"One
of the most incredible stories in the book is about how my dad's spirit helped
me prove to my own family members that he was at his own wake and funeral and
around during the entire week of his services," Gutro said. "My dad's
spirit also helped me find a number of things for my mother, who lived over 300
miles away."
The
author, a medium, paranormal investigator, scientist and dog dad, provides
proof that people and pets do communicate with us from the other side. He is a medium
with Inspired Ghost Tracking of Md. He sketches out what ghosts look like who
are haunting private homes and has received many confirmation from homeowners.
He is also a parent to three dogs and is a volunteer with Dachshund and
Weimaraner rescues.
"I
wrote this book to provide some understanding of the difference between an
Earth-bound entity and one who crossed over," Gutro said. Readers will
learn about orbs, poltergeists, dark entities, the significance of ashes, what
happens to murder and suicide victims, how to experience ghosts, how to cross
them over, and more. He has learned that when it comes to spirits, there is no
such thing as a coincidence. He cautions though that people should not jump to
conclusions and think everything is a sign. "There has to be a personal
meaning or connection," he said.

In
"Ghosts and Spirits" readers will also learn how the author lived in
a haunted house, how he experienced many ghosts in historic and other places.
Earlier
in 2016 he published his fourth book, "Pets and the Afterlife 2," a
follow up to Amazon's best-selling "Pets and the Afterlife," where readers
will learn how dogs and cats have the intelligence and ability to send signs to
the living after they pass. "Ghosts and Spirits" includes the
author's first experience with pet communications thanks to his dog
"Buzz" who passed and became "the world's best canine
communicator." It was all of the communications from Buzz that inspired
him to write his first book.
"I
write these books to educate and give people understanding to recognize signs
on their own," he said. He doesn't take appointments or do readings but
people are always welcome to e-mail or Facebook him.
Rob
maintains a weekly blog, Facebook and Twitter pages, where he writes about
paranormal topics, and where people can share their stories or find other
resources on the paranormal. The new book and his other books "Pets and
the Afterlife," "Lessons Learned from Talking to the Dead" are
available in paperback and E-book, on Amazon.com and other outlets at: http://tinyurl.com/hp92st7.
Published by CreateSpace, Inc.
The
author has been featured in the Washington Post, MSNBC, WBZ Newsradio Boston,
"Coast to Coast AM" syndicated radio with George Noory, Paranormal
TV's "Do You Believe," Paranormal Underground Magazine and U.S., U.K.
and Ireland paranormal radio programs such as Unknown Paranormal Radio, Ghost
Chronicles Radio, the Haunted Syndicate Pararadio Show and many others. See his

A Caution: 3 Afterlife Books Used to Promote Various Religions

The afterlife is NOT about religion. Religions are all created by man.
As someone who has written 4 books about the afterlife it's not about religion. It's about life transitioning to a different state of energy. You can call the other side whatever you want whether its heaven, paradise, valhalla, elysium... doesn't matter.
I'm not doubting that people have after death experiences, but some three books I started reading were so blatantly tailored to promote the writer's religion (in one case the book was written by a boy's father who was the pastor of his own church), that I couldn't get through them. They were obvious advertisements for different faiths.
Of course writers need to include their experiences, but they should not to promote their religion. In one book, written about a doctor's experience, I was shaking my head when I read "I was carried by Jesus (who referenced is a Caucasian, brown-haired, blue-eyed man) and brought to Heaven." Jesus was NOT a Caucasian. He was of middle-eastern descent and archaeologists have already provided a picture of what he does look like- black hair, brown eyes, olive skin.
Further, the book was full of quotations from the bible. That's NOT an afterlife experience. It's a promotion for a religion.
Another book was about the experience of a young boy who had an after death experience. This one was made into a movie! It was filled with "experiences" of things that were taken straight out of the bible - like "streets of gold." That book is called "Heaven is for Real: A Little Boy's Astounding Story..."
It turns out that that book was a SHAM to promote religion. It was written by the boy's father, who is a preacher in his own church!
USA Today reported on 4/21/2011 -"Heaven, released in November as a
paperback original with a first printing of 40,000 copies, was written
by Colton's father, the Rev. Todd Burpo, who has a small evangelical
congregation in Imperial, Neb. It was co-written by Lynn Vincent, who
collaborated with Sarah Palin on the best seller Going Rogue."
Finally, another book by a man who was struck by lightning and died for 28 minutes, told about his experiences - that basically dictate the Mormon religion. I read a couple of chapters and quickly realized that this was a big promotion for the Mormon faith, so I discarded that one, too. These were blatant advertisements for religions.
So, I'm not telling to not to read any books on after death experiences, but take the highly religiously slanted ones with a grain of salt. I'm not denying these people died and came back. I'm simply saying that after their experience they deeply integrated their religious beliefs into their books (except in the case of the boy's experience, where the preacher wrote it).
MY CAUTION: If some book about an afterlife experience practically quotes things from a religious text or a religion, then it's not worth reading. It's likely been written to promote the religion and not the experience.

Great Local Hauntings Book: Haunted Boulder

Boulder" as in Colorado, and it was written by Roz Brown and Ann Alexander Leggett.
The book is really interesting and makes you feel like you're inside the haunted properties they're talking about. The authors provide pictures of the properties, too, which really helps enhance the stories. Each story is well-written, and the authors did an amazing job of researching the histories of the past residents, interviewing current residents, and referencing newspaper articles.
Some of these stories are sure to stick with you for some time, like the Obsessive (grown-up) Boy Scout who is apparently still attached to his scouting awards long after his death. The hanging ghost of William Tull is another story I won't soon forget.
If you're planning to be in or around Boulder, Colorado, this book is a must-have. You can use it to make your own personal ghost tour. I highly recommend it!

What Cats and Dogs Can See that Humans Can’t: You Won’t Believe it!
In my books "Pets and the Afterlife" and "Pets and the Afterlife 2" I explain how dogs and cats have a different physiology that enables them to see and hear ghosts and spirits. As a scientist, I'm always excited by new findings, and now, new research revealed that they also can see in ultraviolet light, too!
What Cats and Dogs Can See that Humans Can’t: You Won’t Believe it!

Cats, dogs, and other mammals are thought to see in ultraviolet light, which opens up a whole different world than the one we see, the study explains.
Seeing the World in Ultraviolet (UV) Light
UV light is the wave length beyond the visible light from red to violet that humans can see. Humans have a lens that blocks UV from reaching the retina. It was previously thought that most mammals have lenses similar to humans.Scientists studied the lenses of dead mammals, including cats, dogs, monkeys, pandas, hedgehogs, and ferrets. By researching how much light passes through the lens to reach the retina, they concluded that some mammals previously thought not to be able to see UV actually can.
"Nobody ever thought these animals could see in ultraviolet, but in fact, they do," Ron Douglas, the study leader and a biologist at City University London, England, told LiveScience.
What purpose does being able to see UV light serve for animals such as reindeer, rodents, and other mammals? It allows reindeer to see polar bears, for example, which would be invisible in regular light because they blend in with the snow.
UV light also allows mammals to see urine trails. This would be helpful for prey animals, such as cats and dogs, to find food in the wild. (Click for original article)
OTHER THINGS they can see - a lot of common detergents, cleansers, minerals, dyes and pigments.
