Amazing Story: Butterflies For The Groom's Late Sister

A monarch butterfly clings to Max's father. Here's an amazing story that will give you chills. It's apparent, because of the way the butterflies behaved (oddly) that they were in fact being guided by the Groom's late sister. Here's the story:

They Released Butterflies For The Groom's Late Sister, Then This Happened

The groom's parents wanted to honor their daughter, who died in a car accident.
ByBrittany Wong07/10/2019 05:25pm EDT |

Max Van Gorder lost his younger sister Vanessa in a car accident on Christmas Day a few years back. Vanessa was special to him and just as special to his girlfriend, Lydia.
When Max and Lydia married in their home state of Pennsylvania last June, they knew they wanted to honor Vanessa in some way. Their plan was to have Max’s parents release a flurry of monarch butterflies in their daughter’s memory during the ceremony. (A fitting tribute, given that the name Vanessa is also a species of butterfly.)
"As they released the butterflies, they wouldn’t fly off," photographer Jessica Mann said in a now-viral Facebook post.As “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” played, Max’s parents did just that, but then something surprising happened: The butterflies didn’t want to leave.
“After they were released, about half of them flew off above our heads, while the other half hovered over the groom’s parents and clung onto them,” photographer Jessica Manns told HuffPost. “Max’s dad had a butterfly perched on his finger for the entire ceremony. It just clung to him.”

The beautiful photos, captured at Fox Hill Farm, a barn in Honesdale, Pennsylvania, quickly went viral when Manns posted them on Facebook late last month.

“The family’s reaction seemed to be a mixture of awe that they were hovering around them so closely and reverence for the butterflies and what they were witnessing,” she told us. “There was just a lot of emotion as they thought of Vanessa and her spirit.”

Two of the butterflies landed on Lydia’s wedding dress as she walked down the aisle after saying “I do” ― and when cocktail hour rolled around, a few flew onto the bride’s bouquet and chilled there for a bit.
A few hours later, during the speech portion of the reception, a single monarch swooped into the barn, seemingly out of nowhere, and landed right on Lydia’s neck.

The butterfly landed on Lydia's neck and remained there for all the speeches.

“Everyone in the room who could see gasped and Lydia had such a surprised reaction,” Manns said. “It stayed on her face for the remainder of the speeches. It was pretty remarkable since the reception happened hours after the ceremony inside an enclosed barn that was a good distance from the ceremony spot.”

On Facebook, the bride thanked the photographer for capturing “such a special and loving moment” during her big day.
“Vanessa was with us there and throughout the night,” she wrote.

A Nice Note about My Pets and the Afterlife Books

It's always nice to hear a good word from anyone and this note on my facebook page about my Pets and the Afterlife books made my day:

Melynda Antoinette Pam Korzon-Zangardi my cat has shown me many signs! Thanks to Rob's books, I was able to acknowledge and recognize the signs, accept them, be thankful for my cat in sending his hundreds of signs. I released any anger or guilt (still a tiny guilt as I have dreams he is still around. We had to put him to sleep due to his continual heart failure. His life would have gotten worse but I fear we did it too early). He assured me it was the right time by sending us two orange brother tabbies up for adoption the same day/hour we received his ashes. I recommend Rob's book to anyone I know grieving. His books have also brought me to a more spiritual life (as opposed to a specific religion). I have opened up to the metaphysical as well. I feel much happier with life AND death. I am able to let things go easier than before.

To a pet parent, to lose a pet means to lose a child. The love we share with our pets never dies, and the author proves our pets do communicate with us from the other side. Learn how dogs, cats, horses and some birds have the intelligence and ability to send signs to the living after they pass. Take comfort in knowing our pets are around us from time to time and recognize the signs they give. Learn how they wait for us when it’s our time, what a pet’s ashes can do, and the difference between ghosts and spirits. Learn how and why living pets can sense entities. Follow one of the author's dogs on a ghost investigation. Available on Amazon.com in paperback and E-book.

Bristol England Hauntings #3: Murdered Man Haunts Odeon Cinema

One of my books is called "Ghosts of England on a Medium's Vacation" and is all about the various ghosts I met when I took 2 vacations in England. Recently, Bristol Live in the UK ran a series about haunted places in Bristol, so on this blog,  you'll read about 1 each week for the next several weeks!      Meanwhile if you want to read about the ghosts I met (Queens, shop owners, members of the royal court, Tavern workers, Shakespeare's sister, and even a dog, check out my book on Amazon.com.  Now, onto the hauntings in Bristol, England:

Murdered man haunts The Odeon Cinema

Odeon
Odeon
The Odeon Cinema, at the bottom of Union Street in the city centre , was the scene of a murder in 1946. Local legend has it that the cinema's manager, Robert Parrington Jackson, was shot in a bungled robbery.
The case has always remained unsolved, and it is said the ghost of Robert still haunts the building. There have been many sightings of a male figure at the cinema, but legend has it the ghost only appears to females.

A Sign from My Mom While on Vacation!

A literal sign from my Mom
Today's blog is about how spirits give signs anywhere and anytime to let us know they're with us. As someone who has been able to get messages from people and pets who have passed on, it's important to share stories of loved ones who communicate. As I've written in my books, it's all about paying attention.
In May, I took a vacation on a Viking River Cruise up the Danube River. We had to dock in the city of EngleHartszell, Austria instead of going all the way north to our last stop of Passau, Germany. That's because heavy rainfall had caused the Danube River to rise, making it impossible for the cruise ship to go underneath a bridge that spanned the river. If the ship could have gone under the bridge, we would have been able to dock in Passau instead.
Norma, Rob's mom
So, to get to our last stop from Englehartszell, Austria, we boarded a bus and proceeded north on Route 130. Route 130 ran parallel to the Danube River. Just before we got to the bridge that crossed the river into old Passau, Germany, we entered the newer part of Passau, and on the lefthand side of the bus was a huge red sign that simply said "Norma."
That's my mother's name. My mother was Italian (she passed in 2013), and I never thought I would see her name in Germany!  I sensed my mom and dad were around me, and this time they wanted to give me an actual sign as a sign!
When I got home, I looked up "Norma in Passau, Germany" and learned that it is a supermarket. The actual supermarket sign we passed is located at Kapuzinerstraße 42, 94032 Passau, Germany.
It's always good to know that Mom and Dad are around and still watching over me.

ABOUT SoGoodBakedGoods:
I have a home baking business of custom cakes, cupcakes and cookies both human and pet friendly  that I started about 3 years ago. Mostly so I could stay home with my english bulldog Orville, he was my sidekick in the kitchen with every creation I made. When Orville passed away in March, my kitchen wasn't the same, I struggled to create edible art like I did. In my time of grief, I stumbled upon Rob Gutro who mentioned "Orville wants you to create a special baked cookie in his name, because he helped in the kitchen" It was than Orville Organic Grain Free Dog cookies were made. Making Orville Cookies are about spreading love to other dogs, Orville loved love and it truly feels like he is here with me when I make them.

Ed's Spirit Sends a Sign of Approval! (read my new book "Kindred Spirits")

If you haven't read my new book "Kindred Spirits: How a Medium Befriends a Spirit" then you may
not know about Ed, a spirit whom I befriended after getting continual messages over the last 14 years. Our story is in that book - and we never met in life.
The book was just published in July and I've been doing several interviews about the book since then. Each time, Ed is always standing behind me listening and telling me what to talk about. He's pretty happy about the book since he passed away in 1996, and the book lets everyone know how he and other spirits are still very much around.
In fact, on Saturday, August 17th, I sensed him around while we were doing laundry. He gave us a confirmation, too.  My partner Tom took the sheets out of the dryer and brought them into the bedroom. He put them down on the bed and shook them out, and a penny dropped out of them!  How that got in there (and why it didn't fall out on the way from the dryer to the bedroom is because Ed didn't want it to fall out yet).  The penny was dated 1996 - the year Ed passed away!
Spirits send us signs in many ways, and Ed loves using coins with the 1996 date on them. Keep in mind, that's 23 years ago.  Glad to see that Ed approves of his book and my story with him!

All Saints Church in Bristol
All Saints Church in Bristol
In the 1840s, local Bristol newspapers reported a haunting at a house joined to the All Saints Church in Clifton .
The ghost was said to be that of a an old man, and the family living in the house, the Jones's, were terrified by his presence, so much so that Mrs Jones reportedly felt the urge to jump out of a window.
The couple reported seeing a light flickering on one of the walls in the house, and Mr. Jones was said to be so scared that he was reduced to a trembling ball on the floor.

The church and grounds are also believed to be haunted by a monk in black who is said to have returned to watch over treasure he had hidden in the grounds.
