Purpose of this Blog

Rob Gutro is an author, paranormal investigator and medium with Inspired Ghost Tracking of Maryland. Since he was a child he could receive messages from ghosts or spirits (who have crossed over). *He wrote the books "Pets and the Afterlife," "Pets and the Afterlife 2," "Ghosts and Spirits" and "Lessons Learned from Talking to the Dead" to teach others how ghosts and Spirits communicate with the living and to give proof of the afterlife. He also published his encounters with Ghosts in the U.K. in a fun and historic personal book called "Ghosts of England on a Medium's Vacation." As a scientist, he also provides some scientific explanations about how energy is the baseline for the afterlife and the medium that entities use to communicate.

Video: Mike Ricksecker's Real Paranormal Unity! | Inside The Upside Down

Instead of today's "Friday Night Ghost Frights" - there's a special video from my friends Mike Ricksecker and Vanessa Hogle, about Mike's Haunted Roads Media Paracon from last week. If you missed the paracon, Mike and Vanessa discuss the event and how everyone got along so well. There was an all day paracon followed by a public paranormal investigation of the haunted Old Mineral Springs Hotel. Mike said "Following our wildly successful Haunted Road Media ParaCon, we're taking a look inside REAL Paranormal Unity and what made the HRM ParaCon such an amazing event!"

MIKE'S POST: Haunted Road Media ParaCon Rocks!
June 13, 2018
Mike Ricksecker said:   I’m very happy to say that our very first Haunted Road Media ParaCon, held at the haunted Mineral Springs Hotel in Alton, Illinois, was a smashing success. With hundreds in attendance (we never did get an accurate head count), more than 60 that attended the Saturday night paranormal investigation, the consistently full Crystal Room for the speakers, and music from John Shanahan that rocked, we all had an amazing time in a convergence of Haunted Road Media authors, paranormal investigators, explorers, and other writers and vendors. The memories remain vivid, and for me personally, I can’t help but to continue smiling at the images in my mind of friends of mine from all parts of the country, who may have become acquainted online, but were meeting each other for the first time.
Mike and authors
It first hit me on Friday night when we were meeting up for a Haunted Road Media author dinner, and while I was walking toward the front of the Mineral Springs lobby with Shana at my side, there was Vanessa Hogle, Rob Gutro, and Lee Ehrlich all in a semi-circle meeting each other for the first time.
It was also the first time Shana was meeting Vanessa and Rob, the former of which gave a mega-hug, a meeting of sister souls, and the latter of which had so many similar experiences while investigating the old hotel that Shana and Rob are now collaborating on a story for the next Encounters With The Paranormal book.
I have to absolutely thank all the speakers for presenting at this ParaCon: Vanessa Hogle and Katie Hopkins, Amelia Cotter, Lee Ehrlich, Chris Sutton, Chuck Banks, Rob Gutro, Michelle Hamilton, Dale Kaczmarek, and Mark Foster. I also have to give a huge thank you to Bonnie Halperin for all of the food she set up for the speakers and vendors, something I know was appreciated by all. Many thanks to John Shanahan for the great music and setting a fantastic vibe for the whole event. A big thank you goes out to Dave and Donna Nunnally for helping facilitate the event and putting the wheels in motion to make it all happen. And, of course, I couldn’t have done any of this without the help of Shana. And… to all the other vendors and to all the guests who showed up and partook in this amazing event, we all sincerely thank you. Now, instead of going on with the written word, I’ll share here many of the photos and videos from the 2018 Haunted Road Media ParaCon… We’ll see you all next year!
