Rob Gutro is an Author, Paranormal Investigator as well as a Medium.

He considers himself an average guy who just happens to be able to communicate with those who passed. He is a medium on IGT, the Inspired Ghost Tracking Team of Hanover, Maryland.

By trade he's a meteorologist, so he tries to explain ghosts and spirits with science. He's had the ability since he was a teenager and it has improved over time. He has his first experience as a teenager when his grandfather appeared to him.

Since then, his abilities have developed to the point where he can sketch out ghosts and get names and other information. He also wound up living in a house that was haunted! In 2005, Rob's late puppy became the world's best canine communicator and inspired Rob to write his first book. His has written 4 books and is currently working on three others. His breakthrough book, "Ghosts and Spirits" provided similarities and differences between the two entities.

Rob participates in private paranormal investigations, helps ghosts cross over, and has provided countless messages from people or pets as ghosts or spirits. Each week he receives emails from around the world from grieving pet parents, and provides messages or comfort free of charge.

Short Video: The Hundreds Year Old Ghost in Old Thatch Tavern, England

In my book Ghosts of England on a Medium's Vacation by Rob Gutro, I met the ghost of a woman still working in the Old Thatch Tavern, working hundreds of years after her passing. I learned her name and even sketched her. That sketch appears in the book in the chapter about the town of Stratford-Upon-Avon, where the tavern is located. The Old Thatch Tavern became the brewery for Stratford-upon-Avon in 1470 when it was also a pub. It has been a licensed pub since 1623 and it is claimed that it is the oldest pub in Stratford. Haunted Highways #4: Chicago's Archer Avenue

  There are several haunted roadways and in today's blog you'll read about one of them  thanks to the Travel Channel's "Haunted Highways and Byways."  Today's haunt is Chicago's Archer Avenue. 
 
Did you ever get bad feelings while driving on the highway? Well, sometimes whenever people die in car accidents their physical bodies die and their consciousness wakes up as energy and are confused. If they linger too long trying to figure out what happened, they get stuck Earthbound as a ghost. (you can read about that in my books "Ghosts and Spirits" and "Lessons Learned from Talking to the Dead.") 

Chicago's Archer Avenue 

Chicago's Archer Avenue is said to be one of the most haunted roads in America, perhaps because of two nearby cemeteries. Once it was an Indian path, chosen for its alleged magnetic power. Today, nighttime travelers sometimes report seeing eerie, hooded figures on Archer, or phantom hearses or "Disappearing Mary," the ghost of a girl killed by a hit-and-run driver. 

 There's also a mysterious moonlit trail in Sica Hollow State Park, S.D. "Sica" is a Sioux word for evil or bad, and old stories warn that the park's unpaved Trail of the Spirits is home to gurgling, red-colored bogs filled with the blood and bodies of the Indians' ancestors. Hikers have seen strange natural phenomena, like moaning waterfalls and green-glowing stumps. In the 1970s, several people were said to have disappeared in the park. Some searchers think they were swallowed up by quicksand. Others are not so sure.

This story can turn the raging skeptic into a true believer. It’s hard to dispute or discount so many signs. But rather than give it away - i will just say read it. You will enjoy the journey and may just have a new perspective when you’re done.

 In my book "Ghosts of England on a Medium's Vacation" by Rob Gutro, I wrote about my encounter with a ghost named "George" when I entered Hever Castle in the United Kingdom. Having no knowledge of the castle, and no idea who it was, I learned it was Queen Anne Boleyn's brother, who met a fateful end under the rule of Henry VIII, George shared a number of personal things with me and accompanied me through Hever Castle, acting as a ghostly tour guide.
