ABOUT THE CARD: The Sun (XIX) is a trump card in the tarot deck. Tarot trumps are often called Major Arcana by tarot card readers.

Depiction: An infant rides a white horse under the anthropomorphized sun, with sunflowers in the background.

Meaning: The card portends good fortune, happiness, joy and harmony. It represents the universe coming together and agreeing with your path and aiding forward movement into something greater.

Upright card (keywords): Joy, Enlightment, Material happiness, Marriage, Success, Vitality

Reversed card (keywords): False impressions, Lack of clarity, Low Vitality, Sadness

A Hauntingly Good Holiday Party with Inspired Ghost Tracking

      I belong to the Inspired Ghost Tracking paranormal group to use my gifts to help families who deal with Earthbound ghosts haunting their houses, but this weekend, attended the group's Holiday party. It's always nice to partake in a gathering where you have something in common with everyone (how often can you say that?).
   We participated in a gift swap where if  someone didn't like their gift, they had an opportunity to swap it with someone whose gift they did like. 
   The gifts ran the gamut from a book on ghosts, paranormal tools like flashlights and batteries to wine, gift cards, puzzles, and food.

   We wrapped up gift cards to a Supermarket, because, well, they're practical, and everyone shops for groceries!  I got a gift bag with a Dunkin' gift card, a delicious brownie, and a coupon at Kohls (where we shop) so that was perfect- Coffee, sugar, and shopping.

   Tom got a bottle of wine and he was all excited about that... until our friend Dana swapped out her gift and took Tom's wine.    Tom exclaimed "But I like wine!" Everyone laughed.
  Although the gifts are supposed to be gender-neutral, last year, Tom wound up with a pair of ladies' earrings, which he promptly gave someone else..
   The event was fun, though, and spending time with like-minded and caring friends was a great way to mark the holidays.

Q&A: Do Our Pets Reincarnate? When?

One of the questions I get asked most often from grieving pet parents is if their dog, cat, horse, etc. will be reincarnated quickly. In short, the answer is no, but there's a good reason! 

 

Here's the question: Rob! So sorry to ask you this... but I’m having some anxiety regarding one thing... Is my dog going to come back to me in my lifetime?! Will or has she reincarnated? Sorry for asking you this question but my heart needs to know... 

My Response:  No need to be anxious! As I wrote in my books "Pets and the Afterlife" our pets wait until we have passed and then meet us when we cross over. Then, once we're all together in the afterlife, we all reincarnate and come back, all connected again in some way. 

   It's the same thing with people who pass. They wait for everyone they knew in the physical to pass away before they reincarnate. So, all of them will be waiting for you in the light, including your pets.

   In the meantime, spirits of both people and pets will be around us for the rest of our physical lives, protecting and guiding us.

My note to Skeptics About Getting Signs from Spirits

Recently I received an email from a gentleman who said he was skeptical about whether spirits give signs and if pets communicate from spirit. Here's my response to him, and to those of you still wondering: 
      I understand and appreciate your skepticism. As adults we are taught to think with our logical minds and usually require proof of something- such as a message from a loved one one passed on - whether it be your parents or relatives who passed years ago, or pets. 
     I know that there are a lot of people who try to take advantage of other's grief. I'm not one of those. That's why I've written books to explain what signs to look for from people or pets in spirit, and don't charge anyone for any short email reading I give. - I don't make a living out of my gift- because I'm a meteorologist - a scientist, full time. I just use my abilities to help comfort others in my spare time. 


       In short, yes, you will of course see your pets on the other side. Every living thing has a soul. A soul is memories, personality and knowledge combined with the physical energies within. When we die, our "soul" chooses to stay earthbound as a ghost or cross over into the light or heaven, Valhalla, Elysium or whatever you want to call the other side, and we become a spirit. You and everyone has the ability to communicate with loved ones in spirit. 
        As I have written in my books, dreams are the easiest way for spirit to communicate with us because our logical minds are inactive (asleep). If you've dreamed about loved ones who passed, they're trying to assure you they are fine. 
     - As for your cat who is in failing health, he understands his body isn't responding to him the way he wants. He's likely getting frustrated with himself and will let you know when he is too tired to continue fighting. - I can't read him, because he hasn't passed, but that's what cats and dogs on the other side with cancer have told me. 
     There are many other ways for people and pets to give us signs - from finding coins to erratic behavior of birds, butterflies, insects, etc to seeing someone who resembles them. All of those things I explain in my books to help people understand and comfort them.
