Meet The Hosts:   Steve and Naomi are from the paranormal group S.T.U.R.S., which stands for Seeking the Unknown Realm Society. Steve is the founder of S.T.U.R.S. and Naomi is an investigator. The group was started in October of 2010. STURS has investigated many locations throughout New England, including Rolling Hills Asylum in Bethany, NY, Pennhurst Asylum, The Houghton Mansion in North Adams, MA, The Haunted Victorian in Gardner, MA, The Governors Inn Hampton Falls, NH, The Paine House in Coventry, MA and best known for their appearance on A&E's My Ghost Stories for their story on the investigation of The Seacoast Repertory Theatre in Portsmouth, NH. Steve and Naomi also perform together singing which includes performing live at the 2013 Paranormal Awards. Into The Unknown Realm with Steve & Naomi are norminated for Radio Show of The Year for the 2014 Paranormal Awards and STURS was a nominee for the 2013 & 2014 EVP Of The Year Award, 2014 Video of the Year & 2014 Comedy of The Year. Why do other pets show similar habits as those who passed?

Does a cat spirit possess another cat?

Sometimes you'll see other pets take on some of the same habits as your pets that passed. Is that because they're taking over them? Or have they been reincarnated?

Here's an email asking a similar question, and my answer:

QUESTION:  My amazing cat PSYCHPUFF died a few years ago and appears to be, on and off, inhabiting the body of another white cat that now belongs to a person that she had had a very close relationship to. This cat then behaves EXACTLY like PSYCHOPUFF used to behave, specific tricks and behaviours. Have you come across this ever?

ANSWER:   Yes, I've encountered that before. What's happening is that Psychpuff (cute name!) is not inhabiting the body of the other cat, but has been teaching the other cat to do some of the same things that Psychpuff did.   The reason why is because Psychpuff wants you to know that she's still around you. By "training" the other cat to have similar habits that she had, you now know that Psychpuff is very much alive and well in the afterlife.

Are you having some trouble sleeping at night? Is there a particular issue that is worrying you or keeping you awake? At this time the unrest in the world is having an effect on us individually as well. It seems like all of the souls that are not at rest have been awoken by the spirit of unrest that is happening throughout our earth realm. Q&A: Is there a Length of Time for a Ghost to be Earthbound?

Recently I received a great question about the length of time ghosts stay trapped on Earth: I now think about all of these remote, inaccessible places in the world where people can't easily be helped. Part of me also wonders whether some kind of limit is placed on the length a ghost is suffering in isolation for, only since there don't seem to be any truly ancient ghosts reported.

Q&A:  Is there a Length of Time for a Ghost to be Earthbound?

A: That's a good question about a limit of time a ghost may linger. Having been over to England I encountered many ghosts from the 1100s to present day so I do know there are many ancient ghosts around.
   The reason why there are not a lot of ancient ghosts is that when some entities cross over into the light other ghosts follow. When  light opens, it's a doorway to the other side, and ghosts can often sense peace there. So, it would make sense to me that Earthbound ghosts would follow others into the light. I get the sense that it happens often in hospitals, prisons and cemeteries where the light can often be found. 
   There are, however, exceptions. The ghosts who choose not to go into those doorways of light likely stay behind for their original reasons like fear of the other side, or being happy in their earthly residence. It all comes down to individual choice.

Teacher's Spirit Provides Medium with a Lesson

Tom is a medium in the Inspired Ghost Tracking group of Maryland (of which I am also a member). In December he kept getting messages and images that he didn't understand, but sensed that they were someone that he was supposed to meet later in the week at a mutual friend's house for dinner. It turned out they were!! 
   Below are his text messages with the Beantown Medium, Ruth Larkin as he tried to understand the spirit communications. The spirit's communication provided Tom with a lesson why certain spirits communicate (thanks to Ruth Larkin for the explanation) . The results will astound you and Tom even got the EXACT first and last name of the spirit!

TOM SAID:  So it happened again.Two nights ago,could not sleep.The energies of two spirits, a male and female, kept me awake.They showed me home movies of them buying a new car and taking a road trip.  This time, I got the home movie. Remember the old grainy super 8 mm films? I could see them laughing, and showing off their new car. It was white in color. And then there were quick snapshots of their road trip.
   The female's name was Joyce Hammond.
I never got the male energy's name. But he did serve in the Army, and was very proud of his medals and badges. He would thump his chest as he spoke.

THE REVEAL OF THE MESSAGE

TOM SAID: So last night at dinner, there was a couple there that we did not know. The wife is especially gifted, and is a very developed medium. I told them of my encounter, and the husband immediately spoke up.
   Mrs. Hammond was one of his elementary school teachers. My description of her matched her appearance, and I got  her name, of course.
 While he was one of her pupils, there was a horrible accident in the classroom and one of the other students died from his injuries. This man said that his parents didn't want him to know what happened, so they told him the student transferred to another school. I'm still not sure why they were coming through

   Spirit doesn't always tell us why they come in with certain information. That is for the person receiving the information. 
   Meaning they will know why. Typically it's because something has been thought of throughout the years and was a memory for them with questions. I find that spirit will always respond to someone's concern or something that has been bothering them for a long time. I would definitely say this gentleman had been thinking of this often and for years. His mystery was solved.
    There is so much in our brain that is still untapped. Meaning when we think of things that we wonder about Spirit picks right up on it. Please continue to keep me posted on these unbelievable messages!
