Proofs for "Pets and the Afterlife" Arrived Today!

  The proof copies of my new book "Pets and the Afterlife" arrived in the mail today and they look good. I'm so excited about this book, because it will give comfort to so many pet owners who have lost precious dogs, cats, etc.
  Now I have to read through the proof copy   and make sure everything looks good on the inside.  Once I'm satisfied I can give the word to publish!  - If changes are needed I need to re-submit, re-proof and then publish. I'm really excited about this book, especially being a dog-dad!

Getting a Message Part 7: Things in the Environment

This is part 7 about getting messages from ghosts and spirits. This blog will focus on things in your environment. Spirits can use things in the environment to give you signs. Insects are a common thing that spirits use. Often spirits will send butterflies, dragonflies, ladybugs or birds to represent them. Some people have reported seeing a special kind of bird, like a Cardinal, that their late relative loved, appearing in their backyard after the person passed. When our dog Sprite passed, we continually saw yellow and black butterflies all over the place, and had never seen them before.
   Coins are another thing that people will start finding in their environment. Spirits and ghosts can move them from one place to another easily enough (it's called an apport) to give you a sign. Look at the year on the coin, too, which can sometimes give a clue to who dropped it for you.
  Flowers and features are common signs from spirits. In addition to these physical signs from the environment, you may also smell things, like roses, or perfume or even cigar smoke. Spirits have the ability to recreate odors to let you know they're around.
  So, pay close attention to your environment, and you may suddenly become aware that there's someone watching over you now!

Q&A From a Reader: Orb Encounter

I receive emails about different aspects of ghosts and spirits and publish them in the comments section of this blog, but also like to post the questions and my answers to help others. Here's one about orbs.

NOTE:  I'm not a big believer in orbs but I've found that most have color and designs in them - and sometimes faces (as I published in my book "Lessons Learned from Talking to the Dead." - I took this photo of an orb (2 actually) outside of the J.B. Jackson building in Asheville, NC - a building where a couple of people jumped to their deaths).

QUESTION:

We set up a camera in our home, set to record only whenever there is motion. At 5:15am this morning (it was still dark in our home) the camera began recording and it was a moving orb.... nothing but the orb - not my dogs, nothing else. I am at a total loss for words and would greatly appreciate your input. I had been hearing doors open and shut around this very time, which is why we set the camera up initially. Thanks so much.

ANSWER: 

    Motion detector cameras can sometimes be triggered if there's a vehicle moving by, or if there's an insect or piece of dust large enough to set it off. However, if you've been hearing doors open and close the orb you saw may be tied to an Earth bound ghost or spirit. If this hasn't happened until recently, it may be a spirit of a loved one that passed and has come to give you a message that they're still around you. 

     Does 5:15 am mean anything to you- in terms of someone's passing? or even May 15th for a passing, birthday or anniversary? spirits work with numbers in strange ways.  

     If this helps you pinpoint who it is, talk with them and tell them not to wake you in the mornings and that you get the message. 

   Another thing to do is watch your dogs to see if they are "looking" at an empty space. They can see ghosts and spirits - and when they do stare at "nothing" take the time to talk with the entity and tell it to please leave, and that this is your home.

Here's an inside look at my second book "Lessons Learned from Talking to the Dead" - that offers picture proof of a female ghost.
  It's a rare occasion to get such an amazingly clear picture of a ghost, and I'm not a big believer in orbs, but this photo certainly added a lot of proof that orbs are the most simple form a ghost can take.   These photos were part of an investigation where a family was experiencing a lot of paranormal things. - Without knowing any details I entered the home with medium Troy Cline (we're both on the Inspired Ghost Tracking group) and over a couple of hours determined two women were brutally murdered in the home. We sensed they were murdered and dragged through a furnace room in the home.

  Later, investigators went back and took photos and captured an orb in the very same furnace room!  Seen here. We enlarged it and found what I believe to be the face of one of the murdered women. They linger to help protect whatever new family is living in the home.

Getting a Message Part 6: Sounds and Voice

This is the sixth part in my blogs about getting a message from a spirit or Earth-bound ghost. Another way that they can communicate with you is through sounds or voice. Spirits can even bring you by someone that says something that your late loved one used to say, so that you know that your loved one's spirit is there with you.
   Mostly, spirits and ghosts will move things or put pressure on something in your house to make noise. I've read one story of a spirit that would go up and down stairs to check on the children upstairs (I believe it was a grandparent's spirit). They made the noise to let their family members know that they were around and watching over their grandchildren. Of course, the people didn't get it until they went to a medium.
   If you turn the shower on and stand waiting for it to heat up and you hear music (and there's no one one or outside), you're likely hearing music from the spirit world, and someone is trying to let you know they're there. I've heard music a lot whenever I turn on the shower - usually it's low and almost undiscernable, but sometimes I've heard classical music, other times, more big band (which my dad used to play).

   Sometimes spirits or ghosts will even get enough energy to speak aloud so we can hear them. If they can't muster that much energy, they can still be heard by dogs and cats, or picked up on digital recorders. One October, at around 6 am after my partner left for work, I went back to bed and put our  three dogs on the bed. From the kitchen, I heard my dad's voice call my name and all three dogs looked toward the kitchen - they heard him, too!
  So, pay attention and listen carefully, you may be getting an audible sign from your loved one!
