Spirit Messages from Little Betty Sue the Dachshund

 In October,  I received an email from Erin who was dealing with the grief of losing her precious Dachshund Betty Sue. Betty Sue provided me with some signs that she's around her mom today in spirit. Pets will often convey things to me that they experienced in their daily lives, just as people in spirit do.  

  When people send me photos and the name of their pets, and any question they want to know, I usually can connect with them. Spirits share information about their lives and habits that only they and their pet parents know- it's different for every one of them- and that's how they confirm their identity. 

   When I saw Betty Sue's photos, they brought tears of love to my eyes. She has such a deep love for her mom and dad from spirit.

EMAIL FROM ERIN ABOUT BETTY SUE THE DACHSHUND

Hi. I am almost finished reading your book Pets & the Afterlife. I just lost my little dachshund, Betty Sue, about 2 weeks ago & am having a very hard time. She was my best friend for over 15 years & saw every important day in my life. I am still feeling extremely guilty over the decision to put her to sleep. Can you let me know if she has any messages for me? I have already found a lot of comfort in the words from your book & look for signs everywhere now that she is still with me. Thank you in advance.

MESSAGES I RECEIVED FROM BETTY SUE:

I told Erin "I can sense the fiesty-ness in her and the intense love she shares with you. She's showing me that she followed you everywhere. She still does!

   The main thing is to not feel guilt about helping her pass. She was ready. She's telling me that she let you know because she wasn't eating... is that right?  As a Dachshund dad, I know that there's nothing that keeps a Dachshund from their food... but that was a sign from her.

  I  mentioned that Betty Sue will show up from time to time, in things that remind Erin of her, or Erin may hear her (like a faint bark)... or those cute little feet/nails running across the floor."

 CONFIRMATION FROM ERIN:

You are 100% right. Betty Sue fought kidney failure for 13 months. I gave her fluids twice a week since the day she was diagnosed. She had recently started losing weight rapidly & lost a pound & a half in just 2 months, which is a huge amount considering she was only 8 pounds to start with. She refused to eat the last 2 days of her life.

     I heard a faint bark during the night, the same day that she was put to sleep. Our other dog growled all night long that night which was very unusual. The next morning I found a big pink flower with a yellow butterfly sleeping in it.   I felt like that was kind of a sign.

   Then I downloaded your book & was shocked to read the similarities between your dachshund's last days compared to Betty's: the similarities were almost identical! Then I saw the pic of the little black dachshund in your book & thought that was another sign! Of course then I read the rest of your book about all of the signs that spirits send to us to let us know they are still around. I couldn't believe how many signs I had seen!

  

  Erin also confirmed that Betty Sue was fiesty and called her "Sassy!" 

FOLLOW UP SIGN FROM SPIRIT - Spirits can also make things happen to help us - including making a photo that we're searching for appear in front of us! This email from Erin on Oct. 27 gave another proof that Betty Sue is around her:

Erin said "I've included yet another picture of Betty Sue. I looked everywhere for this picture a few days ago but couldn't find it. Today it popped up in 'Memories' on Facebook. It's a picture of Betty Sue with her head hanging out of the window of our truck, ears flapping in the wind, while we're 4-wheeling on the beach at the Outer Banks. We try to go there every year on vacation & she went every time. She just loved going to the beach & digging in the sand. I'll always miss her sassy self."

Spirit Dog's "Yellow Duck" Message

Dogs provide images, barks, noises, and so many other signs to let us know they're still around us. In early December I received an email message from Wendy about her dog "Little." She wanted to know if Little was okay and still around. That's when Little confirmed she was by showing me one of her favorite toys.

WENDY'S NOTE

Little's Duck toy!

Wendy said, "She was diagnosed 11-17 with Lymphoma & we let her go 12-2. Devastating to say the least. I could go on & on...she was cremated, and vet staff made paw print molds. We had her euthanized at home."

LITTLE GIVES ME A SIGN

I wrote Wendy and told her that " Little is showing me a yellow toy ... it looks almost like a ball, but could even be a yellow Duck. Do you have a little yellow duck, or a yellow ball in the house? She tells me that she was fixated on it (it may not be a toy - it may be something you had , like the yellow ducks in the bathroom). - anyway, she's going to be around and give you signs.

WENDY'S CONFIRMATION

Wendy sent a photo of Little's Toy Basket and in the basket was a squeaky yellow Duck!

She said "I think u just made my boyfriend Jeff (of 14yrs)--a believer. Thank u! U made our day! And many days 2 come.   Now when that toy turns up mysteriously, we'll probably Keel over!"

A Letter from Eric: Angel's Passing and Signs

There is no such thing as a coincidence when it comes to messages from spirits, and spirits lead us to find messages (sometimes from others that relate to them) to show that they're around us, or that we've done the right thing.  
   I received the following email from Eric, who realized the signs and messages from his beloved dog, Angel. 
  Eric allowed me to share his experience with everyone so that you can learn from it and find signs from your own pets.

Hello Rob -  I just recently finished reading your book "Pets and the Afterlife". I found it very comforting in my situation.

I recently had to euthanize my 13 year old pit bull. She was my baby and it was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. She had a very aggressive cancerous tumor growing in her mouth. She had lost a lot of weight, and I could tell she was in pain. I had no choice but to let her go.

As I'm sure most people do when faced with the same decision, I was filled with self doubt and constantly worried if I was doing the right thing.

I read your book in the days leading up to her final day. The day I let her go, I had several occurrences of what had to be more than just coincidence. As you said in your book, there are no coincidences.

The morning of that day, I woke up with her lying next to me and I prayed for a sign that I was doing the right thing. Within an hour, she had somehow irritated the tumor in her mouth and it started bleeding profusely. When that happened, it removed all doubt that I was doing the right thing. The bleeding eventually stopped, but I knew I couldn't let her go on this way. It didn't occur to me that this could be the sign I asked for until a couple hours later.

Like you suggested in your book, before she passed I asked her to send me a sign from the afterlife that she had crossed over and she was ok.

Later that night, after she had passed, I was reading an article online about animals moving on to the afterlife. In the comments for the article there where numerous people telling their stories about their encounters with their pets after they had passed and some of the strange occurrences that happened after their passing. There were 150+ comments and I read all of them.

Out of all the stories I read, only two of them were pit bulls. 
 In the first story, the person mentioned that they put their dog down on 7/28/2014. I thought that was a coincidence since mine passed on 7/28 also although it was two years later. 

The second story was what really got me. It was about someone who had to euthanize their pit bull. This person later had a dream that her passed dog was playing with a grey pit bull in her back yard. She thought this was strange because she had never seen the grey one before. When she went back to work as a vet tech, she heard scratching and whining at the gate which led to the alley behind the veterinary office. She opened the gate and it was the grey pit bull from her dream. She said it had needed medical attention so she took it inside and they doctored it up. She decided to adopt it and name it Angel. I could not believe it when I read this because my dog's name was Angel.

I immediately felt this strong sense of comfort come over me. I felt immediately that this was the sign I asked for. I felt it was beyond coincidence for the only two pit bull stories to have something in common with my dog. It was like the universe conspired to have me reading this exact page and those comments where I would see and make that connection.

What is your take on this? Is this my sign?

 Eric- I felt an overwhelming sense of love an appreciation to you from her. You let her pass with

dignity, and helped her regain her health in spirit and she thanks you for having the courage. The bond you share is extremely tight and it teared me up getting these sensations from her. Angel understood you about your needing a sign to decide when it was time, and she provided it. It reminds me of how our dog Sprite had a tumor burst in his nose and that was his sign.
 - She also led you to read those responses. She was sitting by your side in spirit and encouraged you to read through all of them to find the 2 messages that you found. She tells me that normally you're not that patient!  Funny what dogs can tell us!   The date and the name were the 2 things you need to find on that page, and you would not have found them together anywhere else. She influenced you to read through the comments to find them.  What a wonderful confirmation that she's always going to be around you, and will be waiting for you on the other side when it's your time.
  Thank you for your email! Angel really is an angel, and can be very persuasive.

Rob-   Seeing that sign has really helped me cope with her loss.  It gives me the sense that I have not really lost her at all and that she will always be with me. 
   If I would have never read your book, it wouldn't have ever occurred to me to ask her for a sign. I have no way of knowing if I would have gotten it anyways, but I'm certainly glad I asked.

Spirits of 2 Collie Dogs Hitch a Ride for Different People

A couple of weeks ago I gave a talk about how pets communicate with us from spirit at the Women's Club in Linthicum, Maryland.
   It was a good example of how 2 spirits come together to give a similar message to 2 different people.
  As I was driving there, the spirit of a Collie dog came into my pickup truck and told me that he has a message for someone at the talk. The collie was hitching a ride to my event because she/he had a message of comfort.
   What I found odd was that I couldn't discern the sex of the Collie. Usually I don't have any trouble with it. 
  Sometimes 2 spirits will come to a medium together with a similar message for two different people. That's what happened here. That's why couldn't figure out whether the Collie was a male or female. It was actually one female Collie and one male Collie coming together with messages for TWO different sets of pet parents.
   The spirit(s) said they were around the pet parent all the time from the other side .
   He/she showed me how he/she liked to stand up on his front two paws and act proudly, showing a large area of white fur on his/her chest.
   At the end of my talk I mentioned the collie and asked if someone knew who he belonged to. One of the women in attendance said that is her dad's dog and her dad was really missing him. In this case the Collie was a male. She was happy to get a confirmation that her dad's companion is still walking with and watching over her dad.
  Another woman, whom I'll call Margaret, understood the message from the Collie. And in her case, the Collie was a female named Cindy. Margaret had been thinking of Cindy before the talk and when that happens, spirit "hears" those thoughts - because they're energy and spirits are energy - and came through.

BOTTOM LINE:   Spirits will come to people that know someone who needs to hear from them if they can't get directly to the intended person. This beautiful Collie came to me as I was driving to the event because his Dad and her  Mom needed to get that SAME message.

Blade the Dog Sends a Special Coin and Gives me a "Left-sided" message

Recently I received an email from a woman named Elizabeth whose dog Blade had passed. She wrote

 me asking about a special coin that she found and wanted to know what it meant.
  SPIRITS SEND US COINS - Spirits often send us coins after they pass as a way of confirming they are fine on the other side, and still around us from time to time. Moving a coin or anything from someplace to right in front of us is called an apport- and it takes a lot of energy. When you find a coin, check the YEAR, because it could indicate which spirit is thinking of you. My dad often sends coins dated 2008, the year he passed. My mom and our dog Sprite sends coins dated 2013, the year that they both passed. Usually I find the coins whenever I happen to be thinking of them. That means they are around when I think of them, and they send a coin as confirmation.
   ELIZABETH'S SPECIAL COIN FROM BLADE - Elizabeth wrote: Blade was 16 years old. His name is Blade.  His was mostly blonde with some white on his chest and toes.
  We had him since he was 4 months old. My husband and I miss him so much! I found a guardian angel coin the week after he died. It was strange how I found it. I was pacing on the sidewalk here at work and on my way back into the building I saw it right in front of my feet! When I came into the building I looked it up and the internet told me the coin was called a : Guardian Angel Coin. I have never seen those before in my life. I felt that Blade dropped it for me. Can you verify this??
   MY RESPONSE  - THE COIN AND A LEFT-SIDED MESSAGE I RECEIVED FROM BLADE

The Guardian Angel Coin was a sign from Blade. It takes a lot of energy to do move something from one place to another -that's called an "Apport." The energy that Blade required was drawn from the positive energy of your love. Spirits often do that with monetary coins - usually the year indicates who it is that is giving you a message (based on birth dates, dates of passing, anniversaries, adoption years, etc).    So that special coin really is  fantastic.  
  Blade gave me a couple of other signs I provided Elizabeth - and the next one confirmed they were from him:)
  Blade wants you to put that coin in the car, so he'll continue to "ride with you!" He's giving a happy grin with his tongue hanging to one side (left side) - I'm unsure if he used to do that, but it's definitely on his left side. Did he also look at you from the left side of his face? I keep seeing the left side of his face, looking at you both.

  ELIZABETH'S CONFIRMATION! -
  The left side of his face thing threw me off at first but then I started thinking about his right eye and how it had a growth in the lid and how it was difficult for him to see through his right eye.  So, from his perspective he probably was always looking at us from the left! So, yes that makes total sense to me now.
