The Thatch Tavern Ghost Whom I thought was Alive! - Read: Ghosts of England on a Medium's Vacation

In my book "Ghosts of England on a Medium's Vacation" I met a lot of ghosts from a lot of different time periods in England. They were all from different professions and walks of life. They included 2 queens, merchants, a waitress, ghostly monks, and members of the royal court to name a few..

Here's a short video of a ghost I encountered at the Old Thatch Tavern in the town of Stratford Upon Avon. It took me by surprise, because I thought she was a living person!

You can read more in my book and see the sketch I made of her.

ABOUT  GHOSTS OF ENGLAND ON A MEDIUM'S VACATION by Rob Gutro:
What happens when a medium goes on vacation? Can a medium simply switch off their ability at will? Well…not exactly. Rob Gutro is a medium/author/paranormal investigator and a scientist who has written 4 books about his encounters with human and animal ghosts and spirits. In this book, you will read about his experiences on two separate trips to the United Kingdom. England’s rich history and many epic battles have caused an over-abundance of residual emotional energy. Everywhere he traveled, he had a paranormal experience. He explored royal palaces and spent the night in haunted castles.
He encountered the ghosts of historical figures including a queen, a prince, and a nobleman; and several ghosts even shared their pain of death experience with him. On one occasion, the doppelganger of a loved one provided directions when he became lost while driving in the countryside due to a malfunctioning GPS. But not all of his encounters were of the human variety: there was also a very special visit from a canine ghost. This book is intended to be more than just a collection of personal ghost stories.
In addition to relating my ghostly encounters, he has also included a short narrative history of the places where the experiences occurred. After all, knowing the history of a place is key to understanding why a ghost has decided to stay behind. So, join Rob as he relates his encounters with the ghosts of England.

Hever Castle's Ghostly Encounter:- (video and book) Ghosts of England on a Medium's Vacation

In my book "Ghosts of England on a Medium's Vacation" by Rob Gutro, I wrote about my encounter with a ghost named "George" when I entered Hever Castle in the United Kingdom. Having no knowledge of the castle, and no idea who it was, I learned it was Queen Anne Boleyn's brother, who met a fateful end under the rule of Henry VIII, George shared a number of personal things with me and accompanied me through Hever Castle, acting as a ghostly tour guide. This video that I made outside the castle captures some of that, and the rest is in the book!

Video: A Look at the Unfinished Part of Thornbury Castle (from my Ghosts of England book adventure)

In my newest book  Ghosts of England on a Medium's Vacation  by Rob Gutro,
I stayed at Thornbury Castle and there were several ghosts there!  This is a look at the part of the castle that was never finished (although it looks like it's in ruins, it isn't because construction halted when the owner died) thanks to Henry VIII.

ABOUT THORNBURY CASTLE:  Thornbury Castle is a castle in Thornbury, South Gloucestershire, England. This is short video scan of the outside of the castle. Inside, there was a ghost in the room where I stayed, and there was a ghost in the main section of the upstairs hallway. You''ll find both of those stories in my book "Ghosts of England on a Medium's Vacation" by Rob Gutro Construction began in 1511 as a home for Edward Stafford, 3rd Duke of Buckingham. It is not a true castle (designed to serve as a fortress), but rather an early example of a Tudor country house, with minimal defensive attributes. It is now a grade I listed building. The site was occupied by a manor house in 930. Part of the original plans for a very grand residence were "well advanced" before the duke was beheaded, in 1521, on the orders of his distant cousin Henry VIII, for alleged treason.

My Video: Chasing a Ghost Down a Hallway in Thornbury Castle!

Thornbury Castle is a castle in Thornbury, South Gloucestershire, England. I stayed in the castle, which is now a luxury bed and breakfast and had several ghostly encounters.
In my room, there was a ghost who lingered and communicated with me, that turned out to be someone known in British history for battles.
On the other side of the Castle was the dining area, reception, and upstairs hallway with many rooms. As we walked down the hallway, one of the doors began swinging by itself after I developed my ghostly headache (which indicates a ghost is present). We checked for breezes and there were no open windows, no air conditioning and nothing that would have caused that- so we confirmed that it was indeed a ghost who made that door move.
To learn about my experience in the Haunted bedroom, read my book "Ghosts of England on a Medium's Vacation" by Rob Gutro (On Amazon.com).

Ghost's Doorway at Thornbury Castle- in my book Ghosts of England on a Medium's Vacation

In my newest book  Ghosts of England on a Medium's Vacation  by Rob Gutro,
I stayed at Thornbury Castle and there were several ghosts there!
This is a look at the outside of  giant wooden door to my bedroom- where I captured a photo of the ghost's orb (a rounded, multicolored ball of energy- a ghost in it's most simple form). I got the name of the ghost, and he gave me clues to his identity... which I figured out when I returned from vacation.  Even the reason why he stayed behind and why in the castle. It's all in my book "Ghosts of England on a Medium's Vacation. "

Read about the 2 Ghosts Rob Met in Canterbury, England's Pure Magick Shop

There were two ghosts who lingered in the "Pure Magick" shop in
Canterbury, England when I visited. I wrote about them in my book "Ghosts of England on a Medium's Vacation" by Rob Gutro.
Each one of them had distinct personalities, and the owners of the shop knew all of them, and interacted with them on occasion. The shop owners were also able confirm the ghosts and their personalities, and they actually knew the identity of one of them!

Video: York, England - and meet the Ghosts in Rob Gutro's book "Ghosts of England: On a Medium's Vacation"

In my new book   New Book; Ghosts of England: On a Medium's Vacation by Rob Gutro, I encountered some ghosts when I visited the city of York. from the famous York Minster Cathedral to the famous "Shambles" area and even when I was dining!  Every ghost has a story, and you can read about them in my new book available on Amazon.com.
To get a feel for York, England, though, I found a well-produced video by Philip Dean called " York, England - Roman Legions to Medieval Minster"  which is below.
About the video:  The walled city of York, England is said to be one of the most haunted cities in England. Roman Legions built the town nearly two-thousand years ago as part of the Roman conquest of Britannia. Later Vikings and still later Norman's would occupy the city. In the year 306, Constantine was proclaimed Emperor of Rome in York. In 1220, construction of York Minster Cathedral began. The Gothic Cathedral is the largest in Northern Europe. York has some of the best preserved buildings from the Middle Ages and is one of the most visited places in the United Kingdom..

Video:London's Guild Hall: Read about its Haunting in my New Book; Ghosts of England: On a Medium's Vacation

You can read all about my visit to London's historic Guild Hall and the ghost I encountered near the structure in my New Book; Ghosts of England: On a Medium's Vacation (available on Amazon.com in paperback and E-book). In fact, I actually saw the ghost and sketched him out. In my book, you'll see the sketch of the male ghost and a photo of an orb that appeared in the doorway where I saw him standing!

WHAT IS GUILD HALL? "It was here the ruling merchant class held court, fine-tuning the laws and regulations that established London's wealth. Built between 1411 and 1440, Guildhall was designed to reflect the power and prestige of London and its leaders," noted the website for Guildhall UK. "The stage for state trials and remonstrances to kings, Guildhall has played a key part in London's dramatic history. Peers, an archbishop and a queen were tried for treason during the Reformation and, as the Great Fire swept through London in September 1666, destroying seven-eighths of the medieval City, Guildhall stood a "fearfull spectacle... as if it had been a Pallace of gold or a great building of burnished brass."

Here's a great video introduction to Guild Hall produced by MonumentalAdventure video (published in 2008):
Since 1411 this impressive building has been the centre of city governance. Great halls decked with magnificent statues, and a tranquil crypt that mustn't be missed.
