Encounters from Last Night's Ghost Tour of Belmont Manor, Maryland

Ghostly little girl
Last night 4 members of the Inspired Ghost Tracking or IGT group of Maryland, myself included, gave a public tour of the ghosts who live in the Belmont Historic Mansion Manor. 25  people had signed up and showed up to meet the ghosts of this historic mansion. We split into three groups and Tom and I covered the 2nd floor and introduced folks to quite a few ghosts. In today's blog you'll learn about the message one of the visitors on the tour had for ME, from one of the ghosts, and you'll read about the grumpy ghost we all encountered. Read on!

IGT 'S FIRST INVESTIGATION  -  IGT conducted our first investigation of the Belmont in 2015 when it re-opened as an event facility. The property dates back to 1738, and the house had occupants who endured their own tragedies. In fact, some of them never left and remain as Earthbound ghosts. There are a couple of others who linger in the home that were not family members, however, and were just at one time, visitors.

The Belmont Manor
A SENSITIVE VISITOR HAS A MESSAGE FOR ME!
There were a couple of people in the groups who were sensitive to ghosts and spirits. At the end of the night, one man told me that the little girl's ghost who lives there, likes it when I come to visit and wants me to play. She told the man that she also wants to play with the little African American girl ghost in the kitchen.  It's amazing how ghosts convey these messages!

The "General's" Hallway
THE GRUMPY GHOST -
The "General" as I call him, is a ghost who helped plan a war in 1991 there at the Belmont (yes, there was one was planned there and we'll tell you about it on the tour) and came back to haunt one room because he regrets the war (planned on bad intel as we all know now). He causes sensitive people in the groups to feel chest pressure or general (no pun intended) discomfort . Last night he showed his grumpy personality and gave me some uncomfortable chest pain.

Last Night's Public Ghost Tour of Belmont Manor

Randy and Margaret do introductions
Last night 5 members of the Inspired Ghost Tracking or IGT group of Maryland, myself included,
gave a public tour of the Belmont Historic Mansion in Elkridge, Maryland. There were 33 people who signed up and showed up to meet the ghosts of this historic mansion.
IGT 'S FIRST INVESTIGATION  -
The Belmont Manor
IGT conducted our first investigation of the Belmont in 2015 when it re-opened as an event facility. The property dates back to 1732, and the house had occupants who endured their own tragedies. In fact, some of them never left and remain as Earthbound ghosts. There are a couple of others who linger in the home that were not family members, however, and were just at one time, visitors.
ORGANIZING THE EVENT -
Margaret, the founder split the groups into three sections. Margaret and Diane covered one side of the first floor, Randy and Ronda covered the other side and I (Rob) was on the second floor.
THE IRRITATED GHOST -
Ronda of IGT at the start of the night
The "General" as I call him, is a ghost who helped plan the Iraq war of 1991 there at the Belmont (yes, it was planned there) and came back to haunt one room because he regrets the war (planned on bad intel as we all know now). He causes a LOT of people headaches, pressure and discomfort in one of the rooms and he was acting up last night giving me a big headache!

SOME SENSITIVE VISITORS -

Pic from a Haunted Room at Belmont Manor in Elkridge, Maryland

If you take the Inspired Ghost Tracking group tour of the Belmont Manor in Elkridge Maryland, I will take you to this room on the second floor where you will encounter the male ghost who dwells there. I will tell you what he did in life, why he was at the Mansion, how he died, and even his full name!
In each of the tour groups I brought through last night, several people who are sensitive could sense the ghost, and reported headaches, or physical discomfort.
Every year, the Belmont Manor offers a ghost tour a couple of times. If you're interested in history and hauntings, sign up! All proceeds benefit the mansion, too.

Great group at the Belmont Manor's Ghosts of England Lecture

On Tues., Jan. 15, at the Belmont Manor in Elkridge, Maryland, during the Inspired Ghost Tracking series, I gave my lecture on my latest book ,"The Ghosts of England on a Medium's Vacation." It was a good crowd and all had an interest in either British history, haunted castles, or ghosts. All three interests were addressed in full, and there were a lot of great questions.
 - One attendee has the gift of mediumship, another came from England and shared some British experiences, including her stay at Thornbury Castle (part of the book and lecture) where I encountered a ghost in my room!. There was also a veterinarian there, whose female relative came through to me, giving her a confirmation she needed to hear.
My thanks to Margaret Erhlich, Inspired Ghost Tracking founder, who ran the powerpoint presentation and came out even battling Bronchitis. Tom, another IGT medium (who helped write and edit the book) was also there providing a lot of royal British Tudor history.
All in all, a great event.

ABOUT THE BOOK: GHOSTS OF ENGLAND ON A MEDIUM'S VACATION
What happens when a medium goes on vacation? Can a medium simply switch off their ability at will? Well…not exactly. Rob Gutro is a medium/author/paranormal investigator and a scientist who has written 4 books about his encounters with human and animal ghosts and spirits.
Hever Castle's front gate
In this book, you will read about his experiences on two separate trips to the United Kingdom. England’s rich history and many epic battles have caused an over-abundance of residual emotional energy. Everywhere he traveled, he had a paranormal experience. He explored royal palaces and spent the night in haunted castles. He encountered the ghosts of historical figures including a queen, a prince, and a nobleman; and several ghosts even shared their pain of death experience with him.
On one occasion, the doppelganger of a loved one provided directions when he became lost while driving in the countryside due to a malfunctioning GPS. But not all of his encounters were of the human variety: there was also a very special visit from a canine ghost. This book is intended to be more than just a collection of personal ghost stories. In addition to relating my ghostly encounters, he has also included a short narrative history of the places where the experiences occurred. After all, knowing the history of a place is key to understanding why a ghost has decided to stay behind. So, join Rob as he relates his encounters with the ghosts of England.
Rob has written 4 other books about the paranormal, two about people (Ghosts and Spirits and Lessons Learned From Talking to the Dead) and 2 about pets (Pets and the Afterlife and Pets and the Afterlife 2). The books are available in paperback and e-book on Amazon.com.

Case Discussions at Inspired Ghost Tracking : How to Join

On Friday, Jan. 4 I took part in an Interactive Panel with the Inspired Ghost Tracking (IGT) Core Group in Glen Burnie, Maryland. I'm one of the mediums in the group. During the panel, we discussed cases we had, from crossing over a woman's ghost who wandered the Earth in search of her baby (whom died with her during childbirth), to the 2 women in our case "Double Murder Investigation," which is featured in my book "Lessons Learned from Talking to the Dead." In this blog you'll read about some of our experiences, what IGT does, and how you can join and investigate, too!

OUR EXPERIENCES AT THE BELMONT MANOR Since the IGT group does a lot of talks at the historic Belmont Manor and Historic Park in Elkridge, Maryland, we discussed the different encounters we had there. There are a number of ghosts who live in the Manor. Ghosts from a little girl to a merchant who died in the mansion while delivering his goods. There was also a murder at the mansion's front door in the 1700s and the victim's ghost lingers in one of the room, lost and confused. We discussed how we felt different emotions - as ghosts can share their emotions with mediums and people who are sensitive (the difference being sensitives just feel someone's presence and emotions while medium's hear, feel, see, and talk with ghosts).

IGT Core group members at the Belmont Manor cemetary
WANT TO JOIN IGT? If you're interested in learning more about Inspired Ghost Tracking, and joining the group, the manager, Margaret Erhlich, organizes visits to historic places known to be haunted (they all charge a small fee). The group also has speakers on the first friday of each month. Speakers talk about books they've written, or paranormal encounters they've had. There's also a small annual membership fee to join, but it's great to be with others who are interested in the topic. For information about the group, contact Margaret at Inspiredghst@aol.com or visit the Meetup Group: https://www.meetup.com/inspiredghosttracking/
ALSO on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/inspiredghost/

WHAT INSPIRED GHOST TRACKING DOES: Clear your home of Earth-bound Ghosts If you believe you have an Earthbound ghost in your home, Inspired Ghost Tracking professionals will investigate. There is a questionnaire that you must fill out to help the case manager identify the issues and you will discuss them with her. If it is deemed paranormal (we can debunk home noises, etc. as we have scientists and a architect in the group) we will establish a time to investigate your home. There is NO fee.

Photos & future events: "Signs from Spirit Talk" at the Belmont Manor

A wonderful audience at the Feb 6 Belmont Talk
Last night, Feb. 6, I gave the talk "Signs from Spirit" at the Belmont Manor in Elkridge,MD with the Inspired Ghost
Tracking Group.  The room was full and there were so many wonderful experiences.
During these 1 hour (plus) talks, I explained the difference between a ghost and a spirit (there is a difference that I identify in my books "Ghosts and Spirits" and "Lessons Learned from Talking to the Dead" ) and provide many different ways that spirits give us signs from the afterlife. The audience learned that signs come at certain times, and the importance of those times.

Part 4: Another Experience from the Public Paranormal Belmont Manor Investigation

On July 21, I helped lead an Inspired Ghost Tracking Group Paranormal Investigation at the Belmont Manor in Elkridge, Maryland. There were about 40 people participating and
Several people had their own experiences, and one of our own ran into a new ghost (see previous blog) and in this instance the Spirit of someone's relative showed up, too!.

4)  A Visitor's Grandma Appears! A woman from the group stayed behind and asked me a question in the upstairs bridal suite room. She said that when she first walked near the doorway to the room, she smelled something that reminded her of her grandmother's house then the smell disappeared.  She couldn't understand what it was. I told her that her grandmother is here.
Ronda and Rob of IGT
We walked back toward the area and her eyes lit up and she said she smelled it again. She asked why her grandma would come to her at the Belmont and I told her that grandma knew that since her grand-daughter was going on a paranormal investigation, she would be more receptive to getting a sign from a spirit. Her grandma's spirit told me that she was indeed around her grand-daughter often and protecting and guiding her. It was such a comfort to the grand-daughter and a confirmation to her, because she sensed her grandmother was watching over her.

Part 3: Another Experience from the Public Paranormal Belmont Manor Investigation

On July 21, I helped lead an Inspired Ghost Tracking Group Paranormal Investigation at the Belmont Manor in Elkridge, Maryland. There were about 40 people participating and
Several people had their own experiences, and one of our own ran into a new ghost. Read about that experience in this blog:

3) Troy Crossed Over a Ghost Near the Cemetery - Troy, one of the mediums on the Inspired Ghost Tracking Group got a surprise when he took ghosts out to the cemetery. He ran into the ghost of an African American farmer named Abe who was still working the land and seeking his family.

Troy and Rob
People from Troy's group had a "K2" meter, which measures electromagnetic fields, and basically detects ghosts (or spirits) because ghosts (or spirits) are beings of energy. When Troy sensed Abe, one woman's K2 meter reading spiked! As Troy continued to talk to Abe's ghost the K2 meter continued reading the higher than normal magnetic field.
Troy learned that Abe wanted to rejoin his wife and child and Troy realized they were all on the other side (had crossed over and became spirits). So, Troy opened a portal to the other side, and invited Abe's wife and child to beckon Abe. They did. As soon as Abe crossed over, the woman's K2 meter reading disappeared!  She asked why, and Troy said "because the ghost has crossed over."

On July 21, I helped lead an Inspired Ghost Tracking Group Paranormal Investigation at the
Belmont Manor in Elkridge, Maryland. There were about 40 people participating and several people had their own experiences, and one of our own ran into a new ghost!

2) Ghostly Brush Up -  When ghosts can gather enough energy, you can sometimes feel them as something brushing against you, or as a cold spot. While one group was in the dining room, I was talking about how the friendly ghost of a young girl inhabiting the mansion likes to rearrange things on set tables in that room. Suddenly one of the women in the group spoke up and said that she felt someone brush against her arm. She was standing alone and standing about 2 feet from the fireplace in the room. Perhaps the ghost of the little girl brushed the woman's arm to make her aware of the little ghost girl's presence. If you go on an investigation at Belmont, be sure to stop in the dining room and hang out by the fireplace. Ask the little girl to let you know if she's around. She may also touch you on the arm!

Part 1: Experiences from the Public Paranormal Belmont Manor Investigation

On Friday, July 21 from 7:30-10:30pm I helped lead an Inspired Ghost Tracking Group Paranormal Investigation at the Belmont Manor in Elkridge, Maryland. There were about 40 people participating and 5 members of Inspired.  Several people had their own experiences, and one of our own ran into a new ghost.
The people attending were split into 4 groups and got to tour the mansion from top to bottom and out in the cemetery behind the manor.  Participants learned about the friendly ghosts who reside in the manor, and who do not want to cross over. They also learned about the one ghost we did cross over.
EXPERIENCES FROM GROUP:
Several people had experiences of their own!
1) Ghostly Sensation - One woman felt heaviness in her chest when we walked into one of the rooms where a man had died and his ghost lingers. This ghost's identity was even confirmed (he told me his first and last name, profession, and purpose at the mansion). He died of a heart attack, and often shares that breathless and chest pain feeling with those who are sensitive so they know he's there.
