Haunted Highways #5: Satan's Tunnel

Satan's tunnel. Credit: Paranormal taskforce.com
There are several haunted roadways and in today's blog you'll read about one of them  thanks to the Travel Channel's "Haunted Highways and Byways."  Today's haunt is Chicago's Archer Avenue. Today you'll read about "Satan's Tunnel" in Missouri.

Did you ever get bad feelings while driving on the highway? Well, sometimes whenever people die in car accidents their physical bodies die and their consciousness wakes up as energy and are confused. If they linger too long trying to figure out what happened, they get stuck Earthbound as a ghost. (you can read about that in my books "Ghosts and Spirits" and "Lessons Learned from Talking to the Dead.")

Satan's Tunnel in Missouri

In Hawk Point, Mo., residents say a ghostly man haunts Satan's Tunnel, an old underpass draped with twisting vines and other vegetation. Amateur ghost hunters have parked outside another abandoned tunnel in Church Hill, Tenn., hoping to see the ghost of a madman said to pop in and out. Many found themselves stranded there when they try to leave, unable to start their cars. When their engines finally crank, they see the madman's terrifying figure in their rear-view mirrors when they start to back up.
