Inspired Ghost Tracking Featured in Baltimore City Paper

BALTIMORE'S CITY PAPER SPOTLIGHT ON INSPIRED GHOST TRACKING

Since I joined Inspired Ghost Tracking a couple of years ago, I've had the opportunity to investigate historic places and personal homes. I've participated in helping rid problematic ghosts from homes.

Several of the adventures appear in my new book "Lessons Learned from Talking to the Dead."  https://www.createspace.com/3824548 or

Thanksgiving Means Those Who Passed Still Sit at the Table

Thanksgiving is not only a big holiday for the living relatives in families, but it also tends to be one of those times when those who passed come to visit, too. Any holiday, special occasion, birthday or anniversary are typically times that spirits of loved ones (who crossed into the light) come to visit us.
Why do they come on Thanksgiving?  Think about it. Spirits are just the souls of relatives who passed. Like living people, they enjoy gathering with family members and what better time to see everyone together than at Thanksgiving?
So, this Thanksgiving, if you've lost a loved one, be on the lookout for signs. Whether you find a penny on the kitchen floor, or your electricity does funny things, or you hear a song on the radio that reminds you of your loved one- those are just some signs they can give.
One Thanksgiving some years ago, my friend Lynn's late brother came to me with signs that she was able to confirm. So, enjoy the day knowing that ALL of your relatives are around you.
  Happy Thanksgiving!

How Do You Know When You're Hearing a Spirit?

One of the question I've been asked a lot is "'How do you know when you're hearing a ghost or a spirit?"
The answer is that if you "hear" something in your head that doesn't make sense to you, or that you have no idea what it means, chances are you may be getting a message from an Earth bound ghost or a spirit that has crossed over.
Left to Right: Spirit, YOU, person the message is for
How to verify? When you get a message, like the name "Andrew" pops into your head while you're washing dishes for example, and you haven't met anyone by that name lately, or heard the name on TV or radio, it's likely that a spirit or ghost (if you're where the ghost is located) is trying to tell you something about "Andrew."
If you suddenly get a feeling that "Andrew" belongs to your friend Jenny, make a note of it. Ask Andrew to show you something personal to him, and you may be surprised at what you get. You could suddenly see in your mind a red sports car or a hammer and nails, indicating that he could've been into carpentry, home repair, or liked to build things.
Be careful not to interpret the images, though. Let the person to whom the message is for interpret them.
  - I made the mistake of telling a young woman at Barb Mallon's event that I saw her late grandfather sitting next to her. I told her that he was a snappy dresser, loved wearing a hat and getting dressed up on Sundays. I told her he loved reading from his Bible. She insisted that her 2 grandfathers both died before she was young and that my message made no sense. *Days later, after she talked with her father (who was still living), he confirmed that it was his brother, or the girl's late uncle that met the entire message I gave. SO, be careful about calling a spirit a "grandfather, son, father, mother, etc." and just say that it's an older or younger female or male, maybe "like a grandfather" but not necessarily one. The message had a lot of meaning to the woman's father, because he was missing his late brother.

Distinguishing Ghosts from Spirits

In all of the books I've read from other mediums or ghost investigators, most don't distinguish the energies between ghosts and spirits. Most call them all "spirits" but I felt it important to make  distinction, so I call Earth-bound energies "ghosts," and those that crossed into the light, "spirits."
Both are beings of energy and personality, but ghosts choose to stay here on Earth or get stuck here for some reason (which I explain in my books "Ghosts and Spirits: Insights from a Medium,(http://www.amazon.com/Ghosts-Spirits-Insights-From-Medium/dp/1602645132/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1352336292&sr=8-1&keywords=Rob+gutro)  and "Lessons Learned from Talking to the Dead." (http://www.amazon.com/Lessons-Learned-Talking-Dead-Volume/dp/1475033214/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1352336292&sr=8-2&keywords=Rob+gutro)
Ghosts are all about "location, location, location." They inhabit places they enjoyed during life on Earth, or they're stuck in a place where they died (like a prison or a car accident site).
Spirits on the other hand have joined the energy of the cosmos, or Heaven, or into the light - call it what you will.
Both draw on physical energies and emotional energies. Ghosts emit negative energy, and are fueled by physical energy as well as negative emotional energy, like fear and anxiety. Spirits, however, are full of positive energy, and are fueled by postive emotions like love, faith and hope as well as physical energy. I explain those in detail in my books as well. One thing that spirits can't do that ghosts can, is that spirits can appear in your dreams. That's how you know they've crossed over.
